It’s the perfect getaway for those that have location, privacy, nature & convenience on their checklist. It also has mountain, city & tram views! Excellent paved, private parking pad , level, with enough room for four cars. That’s a rare find in the mountains!

Our guests have seasonal access to 3 private pools, clubhouses, tennis courts, pool table, ping pong, gym equipment and more. We’ll also provide you with our guest card that that allows you discounts at area establishments.

If you’re looking for the amenities of home...We’ve got you covered....

Make memories with family as you gather at the kitchen bar . Bake some cookies, a holiday meal, crockpot dinner or grill out. Help yourself to the fully equipped kitchen with; pots & pans, dishes & utensils, a blender, crockpot, Jenn Air grill, microwave & dishwasher. You’ll enjoy the view from the kitchen window, almost as much as the memories!

Relax in the den, tastefully decorated with new furniture, one of a kind hand carved wall sculptures, cabin themed accessories & even a cabin themed ceiling fan. Fire up the wood burning stove and enjoy a movie from the DVD collection, watch a football game on satellite, browse the internet with free wifi, play a board game from our selections, or simply curl up and read a good book. We have a collection of books that should cover everyone... We even have BIG BOOKS! Not the ones with 500 pages (I’m speaking to the kids now... ), it’s the REALLY BIG paperboard type books that kids love to flip through! Take it from me ~ even big kids love them~

Grab a glass of sweet tea, step out onto the upper deck & have a seat in one of the rockers. There’s a new patio set & extra chairs too! Enjoy the view of the tram, passing less than 200 ft away from the deck. Give an occasional wave, tram riders will gladly reciprocate. No worries about privacy, you’re tucked away just enough to be able to shadow yourself beneath the trees if you choose. You’ll also enjoy the mountain view. Every day you are met with a different mural. Spend a week with us and you’ll notice how drastically these beautiful mountains can change within minutes. Try counting the layers of mountains.. I’ve made it to 11 or 12 layers back! See my pictures to see the dramatic changes you’ll witness daily. Some of them I zoomed to give the clearest view online, but in person... that’s where you get the full effect! After the sun sets, enjoy the twinkking lights of the city from the deck. You’ll have a straight line of view to the Space Needle. If you are visiting on July 4 th, Christmas or New Years, you are in for an extra special treat, as they light the Space Needle with different colors, do a ball drop and have a fireworks show right atop the space needle for New Years. On July 4th you can watch the downtown fireworks and catch a glimpse of the parade and other festivities over downtown Gatlinburg. Imagine your front row seat to the lights, from your very own deck!

On the lower level you’ll find 3 bedrooms, each with their own theme, flat screen tvs, and private access to the deck. On the deck, the hot tub and porch swing await you. On the lower level you’ll also find the washer/dryer, and a full bath. (There is also a full bath upstairs).

Grandview is known for an abundance of wildlife. Chances are, you will see a bear...or four :-) Enjoy them from the deck~ It’s an unforgettable experience witnessing their natural characteristics and beauty in its true form.

These are your memories~come join us, and make them good ones! We’d loved to have you!!

My husband and I were married in Gatlinburg (1995). We were taken with the town, mountains and nature immediately, and we’ve returned countless times since then. It seems the addiction only gets worse as the years pass. We began our cabin search about 7 years ago. It wasn't until the last 2 years that we were determined to take the leap, and until last year that we placed a deadline on ourselves ~ we would purchase a cabin by the end of the year, even if it wasn't the 'perfect one.'

I should mention that, in the years since we were married, almost every time we traveled to Gatlinburg we tried to find the cabin we stayed in back in 1995. We had a few landmarks that we remembered near the cabin , we found them, but simply could not find the cabin.

Now, back to our cabin search. We must have made 6 trips to Gatlinburg last year looking at cabins. Early last year we signed a contract on a cabin. That turned into a bidding war...so we continued the search. It just wasn't meant to be. I had my eye on a few cabins, and a few of them I could never get in to see. One, in particular, I had missed on 2 of my visits. The following trip my Realtor called on the day I was leaving. She said she had one that I'd wanted to look at for a while, but I'd have to stay a bit longer if I wanted to see it.

I met with my Realtor and, from the minute I stepped in the cabin, I knew it was the one. This was the cabin we'd stayed in when we were married back in 1995... the one we'd looked for so many times!!

I remember calling my husband and telling him that this was the one. He couldn't be convinced. Finally, I dug through our old photos. Our wedding album was the last album beneath all the others. It was the picture of me standing in front of Grandview, with the street number of the house in the background, that finally convinced him this WAS the one. The look on his face that moment ~ PRICELESS!!

The rest ~ is history.....

Lynn purchased this cabin in 2013

It offered something money couldn't buy, and no other cabin could offer ~ our history. As well as views, views, views, convenience to town, easy access and a great location.

Location, Views, convenience to town & wildlife;

Mountain, City & tram views, as well as a direct view of The Space Needle; Grandview is located just 1 mile from downtown Gatlinburg, in Chalet Village, one of the most well known, highly sought after spots in Gatlinburg. It is rich in history, the path to Ober Gatlinburg, the trail of the tram, and it boasts amazing views. It is surrounded on 3 sides by the Smoky Mountain National Forest, which adds to the abundant wildlife in the area.

WITHOUT QUESTION THE BEST CABIN AVAILABLE IN GATLINBURG

  • 5 out of 5
I literally spent hours and days searching the web for a cabin in Gatlinburg. It was our first time visiting the area and I wanted it to be a great experience for all 8 of us. I also have a child with special needs to consider when reviewing properties. Now, having been to the cabin and the area, the Grandview is without question the best cabin. It is absolutely the best location, easy access to everywhere, the best view and the cleanest and nicest that we saw in the area. It slept 8 people comfortably (4 kids - 2 downstairs and 2 on the fold out couch) and (4 adults - 2 each in the downstairs bedrooms). The owners were over-the-top nice, professional and made preparing for the trip so easy. Access to the strip is literally "down the mountain" but its and easy drive and far enough away that you get the peace and quite of being out "in the woods". Everything in the cabin was there that we needed. It is kept up nicely and the furniture and bedding is comfortable. You're not going to find a better place on that mountain. I forgot to mention it was very reasonably priced compared to all the other cabins I looked at. And using the VRBO website booking process was simple and easy. You won't be disappointed in choosing the Granview. We will definitely be returning to stay at the Grandview. Thanks Chris and Lynn for everything!

Owner's Response: John, Lynn & Company,

Thank you so much for the kind review. We try our best to make Grandview clean and comfortable, and hope that it makes everyone as happy as it does us. And, we live by the Golden Rule... "Do unto others, as you would have done to you." I am thrilled to know that you all had a great time and especially thrilled that it accommodated your son well. Life presents enough challenges, and this happened to be one I could personally relate to, as I have, with my niece. It's not often, as a matter of fact, it's a first for us, to have the pleasure of meeting our guests in person. A blessing it was...and I do hope you all will come back. There is so much to explore in these beautiful mountains, and you would be amazed at just how dramatically it changes with each season. Thank you all again! Take Care!!

Until next time~

EVEN BETTER THAN EXPECTED!

  • 5 out of 5
We wanted to find a place for our family to enjoy Gatlinburg and we really found the ideal spot. This cabin offered privacy and breathtaking views while being located a few minutes from the heart of Gatlinburg. On top of that the price was competitive if not more reasonable than other properties, many of which are located miles from the attractions. The next time we are considering a vacation in Gatlinburg we will look no further than this lovely cabin.

TIME STOOD STILL

  • 5 out of 5
My wife and I honeymooned in Gatlinburg 21 years ago. We stayed in a Hotel/Suite at the bottom of Ski Mountain Rd.....21 years later we brought our three adult children back to Gatlinburg, I searched the web high and low to find the perfect cabin for our needs and I nailed it when I booked Lynn & Chris's Grandview Cabin (just one mile from where we honeymooned) Grandview is a perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of the everyday grind, time stood still for our family up there, we stayed for 5 days but it seemed like 2 weeks !!! We did the traditional planning of doing things in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg but only got to about half of them....it was just way too relaxing to leave Grandview. The accommodations were absolutely perfect for a family like ours. We've already decided we'll definitely go back. We kinda have too since we were the unlucky ones that didn't see any bears but i know Lynn was wishing her heart away to send some our way :-) speaking of Lynn, she is wonderful to work with, unbelievably accommodating as well as compassionate about your stay. You won't be disappointed with your choice when you chose Grandview as your vacation destination.

Owner's Response: Randy, Kelly & Kids,
For months our family anxiously awaited "Randy's Gang". I can still hear Chris echoing, "When's the Randy gang coming??" ...as if we'd known you all forever, LOL! When you shared you & Kelly's story with us, and your love of these beautiful mountains, the nature & the fall colors...we all connected with that... The picture you sent of the kids was priceless, we won't forget those beautiful smiles, or the comment that came with it. That is what it's all about....being able to share that joy with other families is just an unbelievable blessing. Thank you all so much for sharing in that joy with us. It was a pleasure! Take care, "Randy's Gang"~ until next time... Chris, Lynn & Lauren

ADDICTING

  • 5 out of 5
I have been coming to the mountains for over 40 years. This was one of the best trips EVER. The porch on this home is addictive. All you want to do is just sit and enjoy. The view is awesome, the privacy is fantastic and the surroundings make you feel like you are far away from everything, when in reality you are just a few minutes away from all the action. I would suggest anyone that plans to stay here, to set your alarm so you don't miss the fantastic sunrises. This will be hard to do, since the bedrooms are so comfortable, that you don't want to leave them. If you are a bear fanatic like me, you may get lucky and see them, or they may come knock on the door and you miss them. I would tell everybody that intends to rent this home, take time to slow down and enjoy the home. Lynn is fantastic to work with and has thought of everything to make your stay the best.

Owner's Response: Robyn~ From the moment you made your reservation until after your departure you let your excitement and love of the bears be known. So, we really shouldn't be surprised that one literally came and knocked on your door, LOL!! That was a first for us, and I'm glad you have that memory to keep with you. And, as you requested, I will be sending you a photo of the bear that showed up at your favorite sitting spot (just below the upper deck, on the mound) two days later at 7:30 am, for our next guests and her children to see. She has promised me pictures once she's had time to settle in back home. I've spent nearly every morning that we've stayed at Grandview, anxiously awaiting those beautiful and ever changing sunrises, and I share your sentiment ... it is addicting. Thank you again for sharing your memories with us. Your excitement was contagious and only reinforces what we already knew ... we TRULY do have the best guests ever!! Happy anniversary to you again, and please stay in touch! Until next time~ Chris, Lynn & Lauren

CABIN FOR PEACE AND QUIET

  • 5 out of 5
The cabin was great. Lynn was wonderful to work with. She responded right away to any questions we had. The photos and description was exactly as shown and stated. The view of Gatlinburg lights at night was beautiful. The kids loved watching the tram to Ober Gatlinburg pass and wave to the passengers as we sat in the hot tub. You are 5 minutes or less to Gatlinburg. The cabin was very clean and kept up. Wooded but felt very safe. TV's in all bedrooms and living room, games, books for kids and DVD's. Close to the national park, hiking, easy access to Cades Cove and close to the bypass to avoid all the traffic. Any type of food you want is 5 minutes away in Gatlinburg or use the bypass and go to Pigeon Forge for more choices. We will definitely be back. I would recommend this cabin.

Owner's Response: Ashley- I'm so happy to know you all made it home safely! And, thank you for the positive review. It is truly a blessing for us to be able to share Grandview with such great families, and to be able to experience their amazement at the beauty in these mountains over and over. Being able to play even a small part in making your memories unforgettable ones, that will last a lifetime is just an added perk for us. Our guests become a part of our lifetime memories as well. Thank you Ashley, Donna & company for sharing in our memories. Until next time ~ stay safe & stay in touch! Chris, Lynn & Lauren

YOU ARE MISSING A REAL TREAT IF YOU DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

  • 5 out of 5
Home is absolutely immaculate. The view is to die for overlooking downtown Gatlinburg. The bears walked up to the porch. 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, kitchen, and hot tub. You are very close to Gatlinburg strip, and can use the bypass to avoid the strip to go to Pigeon Forge. Smoky Mountain Park is 5 mins away.

Owner's Response: Oh wow! Thank you for those very kind words. We try to make Grandview a place that everyone will enjoy & feel at home at, yet still feel like they are away from it all. More than anything, we realize it is the nature in these beautiful mountains that make our little piece of Heaven what it is. Grandview has been a blessing to so many of us, and we are grateful that we can be a small part of bringing once in a life time memories to other families. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and we hope to see you back on your 22nd Anniversary! Congrats! That is an accomplishment worthy of a special note. We wish you MANY more!

Location

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers tours, sightseeing, trails, waterfalls, hikes, caves, wildlife, nature, historic mills and cabins as well as stunning mountain views. Visit Cades Cove for a day of nature, or enjoy trout fishing and a stroll down the river. Head to Ober Gatlinburg for a day of ice skating, skiing, tubing, or sledding ~ don't forget to check out the bears!

If shopping and fine dining are what you prefer, we've got you covered. Gatlinburg has some of the best local dining to be found! If price is no issue, definitely try The Peddler, with seating over the mountain brook and 5 star reviews you can't go wrong. Remember to make reservations ahead, you'll definitely need them. While window shopping downtown, grab a sausage dog ~ a must have on every visit for our family ... simply DELISH!! Sweet tooth? Grab a small amount of fudge .. if you're like us, you'll overload, and shortly after the sugar rush you'll realize you could never finish the 5 lbs you just purchased...trust me on this one. The Thistle is one of my favorite town stores, but you'll find shopping choices are abundant, ranging anywhere from nostalgic collectors items, to cabin décor, woodwork, pottery, quilts and dog/pet clothing. Cowboy boot fan? You're are in for a real treat, with a store full of every type/style imaginable, walls and walls of boots ~ sheer heaven!

Take a ride on the tram. The views of the mountains from the tram are simply unforgettable. You'll also enjoy the stories behind a lot of the cabins on these mountains, as you ride. Who knew Gatlinburg had famous and notorious people living on these hills? It's a beautiful and FUN filled ride, and it's easy on the wallet. Be sure to grab a coupon book while you're in town. There are stands galore, that are packed with FREE coupon books that offer discounts to nearly every attraction, eatery and store around, including the tram ride.

If exhibits and specialty type entertainment are what you are looking for try Ripley's Aquarium, it's pretty unique. There's also a Hollywood Cars Museum, Cooter's~for the Dukes of hazard fan, and a 3D movie theatre.

If you want to enjoy a relaxing day at one of our three clubhouses you'll have lots of choices for things to do. The clubhouses & amenities are available to Chalet Village owners and their guests, seasonally. Each of the clubhouses offer different amenities; swimming, tennis, pool tables, ping pong, horseshoes, shuffle board, croquet, gym equipment and a lot more. You'll also have wifi access, changing rooms and showers. And for the kid in you, yes, there's even a big jungle gym to play on! It's kid friendly, so there should be no scraped elbows and knees - for the average tunnel dweller, that is :-)

Now, if you want to see some of the most amazing dinner (and other) shows on earth, Pigeon Forge is the place you'll want to head. It's just a hop, skip and jump up the road, about 7 miles, but take your time and leave early. During the busy seasons leave at least an hour early. The shows are worth it, and are great family entertainment. My recommendations: Dixie Stampede - delicious food, fun packed interactive show, fabulous costumes, hysterical comedy and beautiful horses to pet on the way in to the show. If you have the opportunity to see the Christmas show~OH MY!! Absolutely unbelievable! A once in a life time, inspirational show... I cannot even put into words how moved you will be by the magical moments in this show. Another awesome show is the Smoky Mountain Opry, for adults and children, again... fantastic show, but this isn't a dinner show, it's strictly entertainment. Finally, Hatfield s & McCoys Dinner show. This one was great. Be sure to encourage the kiddies to head on up to the stage when they ask for volunteers ~ PRICELESS! My husband and I enjoyed the show at least as much as the kids... best laugh (at the kids) we've had in a longggg time!

There a so many fun and free things to do in the area, you'll never get to them all. These are just some of my favorites. Remember to search online for discounts ahead of time, and grab some of the free brochures & discount books that are found all over town.
