PR TOURISM COMPANY **COMPLIANT** Casa Paula is located in 'Ocean Park', a beach neighborhood in the metro area known for being a “walking distance” community. In its surroundings, just steps away, are a number of amenities like restaurants, bars, coffee shops, beach, stores etc. There are so many things to do, that Casa Paula is great for a family trip, pleasure, sports, business, or merely relax in a privileged climate and excellent location.

PROPERTY: Casa Paula was renovated and upgraded in October of 2013. The property is a two-story house, divided in two apartments: one in the first floor and the other one in the second floor. Both apartments are completely separated one from the other. The two apartments are available for rent, making this perfect for larger groups. The apartment that is being presented here is the apartment in the FIRST floor; it simulates a house with about 1400 sq. ft. completely separated and private from the rest of the other apartments, with one private parking. The apartment in the second floor is 1000 sq. ft. with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a big balcony were you can see all Mcleary street great for BBQ and the apartment has its own two space private parking (back to back) (Listing 515225 www.vrbo.com).

LOCATION: Casa Paula is located in Mc Leary Street. Which is the main road of Ocean Park. The most visited beach in Puerto Rico is only 40 steps away from the house, is one of the most known beaches in the Caribbean for wind surfers, kite surfers, surfers, and all kinds of water sports. In the same street, “walking distance” are numerous restaurants, as: Kasalta Bakery (one of the most famous bakeries of PR), Mangos (restaurant during the day and in the evenings is a pub, great place for drinks), B de Burro (Mexican food), Bagua (Puertorrican food), Pizza Cone (Pizza) among others. Also in the same road you will find: surf shop, bike shops, gas station and groceries store. The back street is the famous St. Loiza. You will find all kinds of restaurants, pharmacy such as Walgreens and all types of shops. (In the attached photos you will see more in detail the location of the house and everything mentioned above.)

In other words, you won’t need a car. You can bike, there are many shops near by where you can rent, (20 steps of the house)… ;) At night, Ocean Park is a neighborhood where you can walk and see a lot of people on their bikes, walking, skating and doing exercise.

By car the house is: 10min. from Old San Juan, 5min.from Isla Verde, 10min. from Piñones, 10min. from the airport Luis Munoz Rivera, 90min. from Rincon, 40min. from Fajardo and 60min. from Ponce.

BEDROOMS: Master Bedroom has a queen bed and its own bathroom, the second bedroom has a full size bunk bed, the third room has a queen bed and the family is convertible to a room, the family has two twin size and a full size sofa bed). Hotel quality, fresh linens for each bed, plenty of pillows and blankets. Each room has a closet and A/C. Comfortably accommodates 10 people.

BATHROOMS: Two fully equipped bathrooms and a exterior shower for when you come from the beach. Hair dryer and fresh towels as well.

KITCHEN: Is completely equipped (new from November 2013). The kitchen has: 36 inches refrigerator, microwave and oven (all appliances are stainless steel)

LAUNDRY ROOM: Washer and dryer combo with sufficient space to do your laundry. Cleaning equipment is provided plus ironing board and iron.

INTERIOR PATIO: The living area is connected with two big doors that give access to the patio. One is located in the dining room and the other one in the family room. Great for a BBQ or simple sit and relax. If you have a car the interior patio will serve as garage, but you have plenty space to have a BBQ too.

PARKING: 1 private parking, inside the house garage (rolling door)

I am Head Coach of a Triathlon Team in Puerto Rico, as an ex-elite athlete I know the joy that brings walking out from your home and mounting your bike or just putting your tennis shoes and take a run. Ocean Park brings the quality of life that I look for my family and me. Is an urban style, beach community where is almost a fact that everybody wears shorts, flip-flops or have a skate board or a bike on hand. Working as a professor in the University and as a doctoral student I have traveled and met people that have been looking for a good, comfortable, accessible place to have a great vacation in the Caribbean, that is one of the reason that inspired me to have this property.

Better than expected!!!!

My family and I stayed in Casa Paula for vacation. The apartment is lovely, very clean, secure and has all the amenities that are listed. Alexandra, the manager, is very professional and easy to work with. The location was fantastic. You are 10 minutes from the airport, one block from the best beach in San Juan and plenty of places to dine nearby. There is local transportation, rent a bike, rent a car or take a taxis, again you choose. My stay was wonderful and my experiences were very memorable. I hope you have the same….!!

Great Place, Great Location!

I stayed at Casa Paula last week with five other ladies and we LOVED it! It was nice to have a space where everyone could get together and enjoy our time. The house is central located so it worked out great for our car-less group. We were able to walk everywhere within about 10 minutes! The beach was seriously 1minute away which was so wonderful. The outside shower was a plus as well. Rafael thoroughly thought out the handling of this place it was great to see there were plenty of towels, a cooler, and so much more! As most everyone else has mentioned the bakery down the street is a MUST visit and Mangos was so delicious ; it was just a plus that it was a few steps away! All in all I loved the place and definitely plan on returning on my next trip to Puerto Rico. Well done Rafael and Alexandra!

Spring Break @ Casa Paula

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Paula. It is a short walk to the beach, about two blocks. The beach is very clean, there are chairs and umbrellas to rent and you can order food or drinks from the restaurant and they will deliver it to you on the beach. The bakery, Kasalta, is also walking distance. I highly recommend going there. On the street behind the house there is plenty of places to eat within walking distance and the grocery store isn't far, but you will need a car to get there. The apartment is in good shape and is very secure. We felt very safe. It shares wifi with the apartment above so once both apartments were occupied there was a wifi problem, but the owner was very attentive and was eager to take care of any concerns. I would definitely rent Casa Paula again.

EXCELLENT VACATION!!

Hola!

Had one of the best vacations ever. This house was amazing, in such a great location, and so convenient! I'm definitely going to stay here again, just need to convince some friends to join.

Rafa made sure that everything went smooth, and checked up on us in person or via text every now and then, he also gave us recommendations for places in the area. We rented the whole house(10 of us), I did all of the planning for this trip, so it was a little nerve-wrecking, my friends were definitely going to be very vocal and let me know how they felt about all of my decisions, and they loved this one.

This house is in a prime location. I've stayed in Condado and Viejo San Juan in the pass, this was definitely better. It's very close to the beach where most of the locals in the area go, not like a hotel beach front, walked over every morning and some afternoons. It's a very safe walk, heavily patrolled by motorcycle and patrol cars standing around probably due to the heavy traffic of people walking through such a high priced area. There is a little convenience store, surf shop, gas station with convenience store items, pizza stop(did not try it), Mangos(dinner was delicious!!, brunch was okay), yogurt spot(its okay), bakery, walgreens(beach chairs 10 to 20 bucks ;-)).

As for the house, amazing! So beautiful inside and out, very nice design and furniture. The air conditioning in all the rooms throughout the house were great. The dining room and family room both have access to an outside patio space that is part of the no ceiling garage. We spent a lot of time hanging out there, sometimes we just opened the garage door and people watched, there's also a shower head and hose which make it easy to clean up after the beach(even with that we still got sand all over the house, so sorry Rafa). There's a grill there, but we didn't take the time to go buy meats =(. The family room is a great spot to crash if you run out of bed space(there's a huge flat screen tv that I never used). The washer and dryer was a great plus, the ridiculous amount of towels was also great. There are 2 bathrooms, one is in the master bedroom. There are soap and shampoo dispensers in both of the bathrooms.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay at a really nice place, near the beach, with minimal hassle. We were able to walk to one night club from there, and its not far to take a cab to Condado or Isla Verde.

Great place in a great spot

My family and I stayed here when they came down for my wedding. The house was great - lots of space, clean, close to the beach, nice area, and has an apartment for rent upstairs as well that our friends were able to stay in which was nice. We were even able to get an early check-in. The only complaint I have is that it wasn;t really stocked well with toilet paper, dish soap, etc. Also, it's on a busy street so something to think about if you have kids.

Great Place - all as described!!

The apartment was exactly as pictured and perfect for the 6 adults. Everything was very clean!! We had plenty of room to spread out. Lots of security and parking was convenient for the car rental. Ocean Park is a convenient location for everything to do in Puerto Rico and a short walking distance to lots of great restaurants.

A great place, highly recommended… Property could not have been nicer!!
