Easy stroll to shops, restaurants, bars, spas, movie theaters, art gallery, live music and more. Come tour the Schell's Brewery or have a wine tasting date at the local winery. Relax in a cozy parlor with a big comfy couch and warm faux fireplace. Spacious kitchen for morning coffee. Colorful dining room provides a nice atmosphere for sharing meals, conversations and games with friends and family. Outdoor deck furnished for quiet summer gatherings. For those who are looking for a more physical get-away, kayak the Cottonwood River or bike/run the 5-mile trail around the town. Don't forget to check out Flandrau State Park--swimming in the summer, cross-country skiing in the winter.
good space - we are a group that gets together every few months just to visit - renting a house is much better than having to sit on hotel beds and staying in three hotel rooms. Nice, clean space to do some painting and visiting. Enjoyed the town but don't know that we would go back - not a whole lot to do. But, all in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house and the town for a nice overnight.
Really nice house located close to most of the attraction at New Ulm. Owner in great contact and helpful. Nice amenities for the house and a very comfortable stay.
Girl's weekend in New Ulm during Octoberfest. Loved that we were walking distance from downtown and a short drive to the Schell's Brewery. So much better than staying at one of the local hotels and cheaper than renting 2 rooms. Very comfortable and cute. Had a great time.
Clean, cute house. Helpful owner. Great little town. Would recommend to others.
My group of 6 ladies stayed at this lovely home. The listing and photos were true. The home was clean and well appointed with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Terri was great to deal with and very helpful with everything. This house was a fabulous find and the value is outstanding!
We were there for a girls getaway. We were on the go most of the weekend becasue there is a lot to see in New Ulm. We went to the Schells Brewery and Morgan Creek Winery. Both very fun. We also went to Turner Hall and took in some of the night life at the Lamplighter and B & L Bar. The pizza was fabulous at B & L and the owner was fun to talk to. We saw the Glockenspiel and Herman the German of course.
After a good nights sleep in the comfy beds we enjoyed breakfast on the deck.
We had a wonderful time and can't wait to stay here again.
My friends and I were looking for a weekend trip to relax and see a bit of out-state Minnesota. We chose New Ulm for it's charm and famous brewery, thinking we might take in a tour. We shopped at great stores and had the most wonderful lunch right on main street. The house was not far from downtown, making it a convenient location. The house was well appointed and cozy warm, even in below zero temperatures. The bedrooms were good sized and had comfy beds. We saw a nice patio outback that would be great for summer use. We never did make it to the brewery, but plan to return to take in more and try out the patio!
