Remodeled Craftsman house, old world charm with elegant modern interior in a quiet neighborhood. Private yard. Walking distance to Downtown Olympia. Close drive to Evergreen State College. Co-op/health food store one block away.
Home features hardwood floors, tile bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, new cozy queen beds, large dining area, and a comfortable spacious living room. If you are booking after February our upstairs kids room will be done with bean bags, games, two twin beds and plenty of room for playing.
We love the quiet, well established neighborhood filled with old beautiful homes. We also love the Olympia Coffee Roasters just a couple blocks away, and we enjoy the West side co-op just down the street for getting great healthy food(2blocks away).
The home is at the head of the Garfield nature trail. It is a nature trail that meanders throughout a five-acre ravine from West Bay Drive to North Rogers Street. It is a nice way to head downtown!
From the little yellow house, it is awesome to walk in to the city center and have dinner or breakfast, then after to stroll around Capitol Lake. You can visit the art galleries, the shops, and walk along the bay.
If you need to shop or want to see a movie, we are less than a mile from the Westfield Mall. This is a great home in a great location.
We are happy to help you enjoy your stay in Olympia and are available via phone/email for questions, or help, but we are not on premises.
You have the entire home, with private yard, and parking.
Bus lines are nearby and there is free parking in the back of the home, convenient and off street.
We are a growing family, that loves to travel...We like to have the experience, when traveling, that has a more comfortable, and more local feel than a hotel. That has lead us to many VRBO properties, and even more memories made.
Ahtumn Delacroix purchased this house in 2013
We found this home and bought it to resell, but while remodeling, we fell in love with the home, and its character, not to mention the location! We then decided to keep it as an investment, and a vacation spot for when in the sweet Olympia area.
Down town, (just a ten minute walk down the hill), has much to offer! Some of which are, the farmers market ( biggest in the state), art galleries, restaurants on the water, the marina, the Capitol (set above the beautiful capitol lake which is a great spot for a walk), coffee houses, live theaters and many shops. Percival Landing has 1.5 miles of boardwalk with artwork and interpretive displays outline the history of the harbor. The Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge offers miles of level trails for those interested in Puget Sound Wildlife, especially birds. To help capture your findings, they are complete with viewing platforms and photo blinds. Also, the Hands-On Children's Museum, a state-of-the-arts educational playground for kids of all ages. It's right next door to the Wet Science Museum. It showcases the water cycle and how we humans participate in both polluting and cleaning our water. There is still so much more in Olympia!
