This fully equipped and comfortably furnished apartment has recently been redecorated. It has one double bedroom and the second bedroom has two single beds, both with plentiful drawer and wardrobe space. Feather duvets are available in winter. The living-room has an airconditioning/heating unit, 3 armchairs, and a large sofa-bed which sleeps 2 adults. There is a washing machine, and all rooms have ceiling fans. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-ring-gas hob and oven, microwave, kettle, teapot, coffee filter machine, whisk etc.There is also a hair-dryer The TV has Spanish and English speaking channels BBC1, 2,3 ITV channels and channel 4 plus CNN news etc. Broadband fibre optic wifi internet connection for your own laptop/mobile. Board games and novels are available for your enjoyment and also a large selection of leaflets, maps and guide books on Malaga and the surrounding area. Beach towels and beach umbrellas are also provided. The large terrace is an ideal space for enjoying a drink watching the sun set over the bay and mountains, sunbathing or entertaining friends to an 'al fresco' meal. Nina, the owner is happy to advise you on local places of interest to visit both in the city and the surrounding villages and countryside.

About Nina Ward

Hi,

My name is Nina and I have lived in Malaga since 1975 when I moved here with my parents from England (Isles of Scilly, Cornwall). I went to a local school here and soon picked up the language. At the moment my partner and I both teach English in Malaga and work as Cambridge examiners at the university here.

We live nearby the apartment and are always on hand to help should you need anything while at the same time respecting your privacy. I am happy to show you round when you first arrive and take you shopping to the local supermarket upon arrival if you don't want to rent a car.

Why Nina Ward chose Malaga City

I inherited the property from my mother in 2003. It was where I lived with my parents when we first came to Spain and is a real gem. The apartment is a home away from home and is very well-equipped and comfortable. There are lots of books, games and information on the local area. We have UK and Spanish TV as well as a DVD player and wifi internet access.

What makes this apartment unique

Many hours can be spent whiling away time on the large terrace enjoying the warm weather or having a barbecue. The views are wonderful of the bay and the mountains and you can even see Africa on clear autumn and winter evenings with the Pillars of Hercules at the entrance of the Mediterranean and the Rif mountains in Morocco.

The apartment is situated in one of the most desirable residential areas of Malaga (El Candado) in the district of El Palo.

It's merely 5 minutes drive to the motorway which links to routes to Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba as well as the wonderful Andalusian villages.

I am more than happy to help you plan your itinerary for you trip and can recommend local tapas bars, restaurants and local museums and places of interest. My partner Hugh is a keen cyclist and is happy to recommend mountain routes for the energetic. There also some wonderful hikes around the surrounding countryside.

Een week vakantie in een goed appartement in een rustige wijk van Malaga.Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig.

Gastvrouw Nina en gastheer Hugh zorgden voor een prima ontvangst en zijn zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Veel informatie te vinden in het appartement en Nina en Hugh zijn altijd bereidt om tips te geven. Een mooi terras waar je s `avonds heerlijk in de zon kunt nagenieten van de mooie trips die je vanuit Malaga kunt maken. Een auto is handig om te hebben. Met de bus ben je snel in het centrum van Malaga en het kost bijna niets. Marbella, Ronda, Mijas en Nerja zijn makkelijk te bereiken en de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Enige minpuntje is de douche. Je staat in het bad om te douchen. Prima vakantie gehad.

What a find!!!!

A lovely well equipped apartment. Our group was two adults and two grown up teenage daughters. Plenty of room. Nina was extremely helpful throughout as was her friend who popped round to check we had settled in ok. We even had some shopping done us to stock the fridge up ready. The location is very good in a leafy quiet residential area but not too far away from everything. I would recommend a car but it isn't essential. The small town of El Palo is very convenient and pleasant to walk around with lots of shops. Beach very nice and not too far away. We spent quote a bit of time on the local beaches and eating in the very nice beach side seafood restaurants. We had a couple of day trips out to Ronda, Alhambra Palace, Granada and Marbella. All really good days out and reachable within 1-2hrs by car.

My only issue was the wifi being slow which wouldn't be difficult to sort.

Overall one of our favourite places. A lovely holiday and we will be returning. Thankyou Nina.

Home comforts away from home

This is a very comfortablr apartment It has a very well stocked kitchen, lots of appliances for every taste. The bedrooms have lots of drawers and the wardrobes are spacious with plenty of hangers. The sitting room has comfortable armchairs and a soffa, which easily turns into a double bed if required.

The terrace is spacious withcomfortable furniture. There is an awning which can be easily lowered if the sun gets too hot.

Nina, the owner, is a mine of information and very helpfull, she is available most of the time to offer advice, but only if it is wsnted.

There are two supermarkets about two minutes drive away, and many restruants in El Palo for lunch or dinner. We found the best way to go to Malaga was to drive to the Bus Termonus, about three minutes drive away, and take the bus into town. There is plenrty of free parking at the Bus Terminus

There are many nice drives to be had along the coast or into the hills

We had a lovely time in Malaga. Very nice apartment,well equiped, clean.

Ten minutes walk to the beach, ten minutes walk to the bus into Malaga.

Great terrace with evening sun.

The owners are extremely friendly and helpful people.

We wanted a relaxing holiday and we got it!

The apartment is situated on a hillside in the exclusive residential area of El Candado on the Eastern fringe of Malaga. It is one km away from the beaches of El Palo and Pedregalejo, well-known in the area for their excellent fish restaurants, beachside bars and lively nightlife. Early risers can still see the fishermen pulling in their nets! This is still very much a Spanish area, with local markets and shops. There are 3 championship-standard golf courses within a 30 minute drive and a 9-hole course 5 mins walk away. The property is within easy reach of the centre of Malaga with its Picasso museum, various galleries, historic old town and excellent restaurants, tapas bars and non-stop night life. The Andalusian jewels of Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla and Ronda are between 2 and 3 hours away and all make interesting day trips, as does Gibraltar. The coast also offers numerous activities for families: Selwo Safari Park, Tivoli World , Crocodile and wolf park, Sealife Centre and waterpark.

Notes:
As the apartment is in a quiet residential area car hire is recommended and can be arranged by the owner if requested. Please note that access to the apartment is via a short flight of steps and may in some cases be unsuitable for the elderly and infirm. If however you are used to walking it only takes 20 min to walk down the hill to the bus stop and 10 min to the nearest beach. I have had many guests who have not hired a car and been very happy here.
