Carefully our house, originally buildet around 1850, was completely renovated in 2008. Originally a so-called “Bassena” house (running water only outside the flat), the apartments have been renovated intelligent, loving and superior to today's living standards. Top 7, formerly a so-called room-kitchen-cabinet flat consists now of four rooms: the former entrance / kitchen area was reclassified to an entrance, a spacious bathroom and separate toilet. Further there is a Dwelling-/Cookingarea (20sqm) and at least a spacious bedroom (25 sqm). From a substandard apartment so generously acting, a modern apartment has been created. This effect is reinforced by minimalistic but aestheticly high quality furnishings. Ideally for 2 persons, this apartment is capable also for up to 4 people by providing extra beds.

My name is Christian Droste, I was born in 1964. I live in this building since I was born. I am a freelance artist and musician. My wife Natalia and I run our holiday apartments since the summer of 2009.

Why Christian Droste chose Vienna City Center

Our house, a 160-year-old 'Gründerzeithaus' comes from family. My grandfather, he was a blacksmith, had his workshop here and lived here also. It is the center of our living and the center of our work. Workshop, gallery, hotel, office.

What makes this apartment unique

I was born here and I grew up here in this house. It's my belly and my brain and I love it with my whole heart. Our building is a 160 year old lady with a lot of charm in one of the most beautiful districts of Vienna.

What a perfect apartment and perfect location!!! Everything was perfect! The location was extremely important to us and we didn't make an mistake it was perfect. Christian and Natasha are very friendly and helped us in every way. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. Christian also organised for us airport pickup and drop off which made it very easy. I will be back again for sure.
I highly recommend this property to rent for a short stay or longer stay.

Nice Vienna Apartment

We had large family so we rented three apartments. Centrally located, authentic Vienna apartments with comfortable beds. Spacious and owner had cribs set up for us and an extra stroller ready for us to borrow. He was very accommodating. We enjoyed it so much more than a hotel as it allowed us to live among the residents and enjoy the atmosphere.

Great apartment in a great location!

We had 4 fantastic days in Vienna! The apartment is very comfortable, has everything we needed for the trip. The location is great, just 3 blocks from the underground and a 10 minute walk to the St. Stephens' square.
We were greeted by Christian, the owner, who was very helpful and explained everything to us. We will definitely come back!

Kunst und Charme beim Karmelitermarkt

Mit einiger Verspätung, aber von Herzen, bedanken wir uns für die schöne Woche, die wir im April 2014 hier verbringen durften. Das Apartment ist einfach traumhaft und entspricht vollständig der Beschreibung auf Fewo. Die Nähe zum historischen Stadtzentrum und überhaupt zu vielen schönen Orten Wiens haben wir besonders geschätzt, zumal wir fast ausschliesslich zu Fuss und mit ÖV unterwegs waren. Ein Geschenk ist natürlich der wirklich nur einen Katzensprung entfernte Karmelitermarkt; eine Oase in der Grossstadt mit dem Bio- und dem samstäglichen Bauernmarkt, wo österreichische Spezialitäten angeboten werden. Ein Morgenkaffee an der wärmenden Frühligssonne in einem der netten Lokale; einfach paradiesisch... und sogar am Sonntag gibt’s hier frisches Brot! Für den sonntäglichen Ausflug empfiehlt sich eine kurze Fahrt mit der U-Bahn an die alte Donau, wo Ruderboote zu mieten sind und herrliche Stunden auf dem Wasser verbracht werden können. Die „Kirsche auf dem Kuchen“ ist natürlich, dass die Vermieter in ihren Apartments die eigenen Kunstwerke ausstellen und man so gewissermassen in und mit der Kunst leben kann... Die Betreuung vor Ort war einfach perfekt. Selbst ein („Luxus-“)-Problem unseres Sohnes mit einem nicht passenden Stromstecker wurde innert Kürze gelöst. Kurzum: Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können die Wohnung und das Haus an sich (mit weiteren interessanten Wohnungen verschiedener Grösse) nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Große, helle Wohnung in ruhiger Umgebung

Schönes, modernes Apartment in einer ruhigen Umgebung. 2 Gehminuten von der U-Bahnstation Schottenring, 15 Min zu Fuss bis zum Stephansdom. Tolle Umgebung: Karmelitermarkt, Donaukanal, Augarten
Ideal für einen längeren Aufenthalt. man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet, alles ist vorhanden (Handtücher, Bettwäsche, Wifi, Föhn, Nespresso-Apparat, Fernseher, Wäscheraum zur Verfügung...) Da ich einen Monat im Apartment verblieb, wurde die Wohnung wöchentlich gereinigt. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Im Voraus bekam ich viele nützliche Informationen zugeschickt. Ich kann die Wohnung nur empfehlen und werde nächstes Mal sicher zurückgehen! Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit da!

Our apartments are located in the 2nd quarter at the “Karmeliterviertel”, only a stone's throw away from the historical city center (10 min walk). In 5 minutes you can walk to the beautiful Augarten, to relax or just visite the world famous Augarten china factory. Also nearby is the Danube Canal, which has developed into a boulevard with nice beach bars and restaurants. We should also mention the Karmelitermarkt - a meeting place for young and old, with it´s weekly Saturday farmers' market, with countless austrian organic cheese, meat and vegetable dishes and many other delicacies. Again, there are many good restaurants, bars and meeting places that are frequented by artists, all kind of people. In the Wiener Prater children and parents find traditional “Rummel” and modern attractions side by side. This is the special charm of the Prater. We have also some museums in our district. We do not write here about all the atractions of the historical center because the are known worldwide.
