Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday condo in Heavenly Valley - Hike/Bike Heavenly+Tahoe Rim
3br/2ba, 1256 Sq. Ft. 2-story Condo With Great Sun. Hot Tub. Steps To Heavenly!
Walk out the door and hike & bike the NV side of Heavenly, with legendary views of Lake Tahoe and Carson Valley! Located at the top of Kingsbury Grade, this property is just steps to the Tahoe Rim Trail.
Only a few miles down the hill and you are at the casinos in South Lake Tahoe, on the beach at the lake, and enjoying all that SLT has to offer while having amazing quiet and privacy in the mountains to your heart's content!
How many times have you rented a vacation home, gone by the store on your way and purchased a bunch of ton of food to cook, then arrived only to find out that there isn't even salt & pepper in the home?!? I've had this experience multiple times and have found myself on a trip back to the store, spending more money on expensive spices that I ended up leaving behind after only using a fraction of them cooking. Frustrating! Well, stay at my amazing condo at the bottom of the chair lift and use my spices, oil & vinegar, condiments, cheeses, coffee, etc. to your heart's desire!
This beautiful, spacious 3br/2ba, 1256 sq. ft. 2-story condo is on the Southeast corner of a 4-unit building. It gets incredible light, has high ceilings, and newly installed top-down/bottom-up blinds so you can still keep privacy while letting sunlight into the home. They are blacked out in the bedrooms so you can sleep in as long as you want and filtered in the living room, letting ambient light through during the daytime.
It features brand new bedroom sets in two bedrooms, with pillow-top memory foam mattresses, giving sleepers an amazing 'in the womb' deep sleep. The third bedroom features a Heavenly sleeper pillow-top spring mattress, same as found in W Hotels. All bedrooms have queen beds and the couch can sleep 1-2 people in tandem or snuggling comfortably as well!
The 7-person, 115 jet Divine Hot Tubs model DL-1040 Deluxe is a life-changing experience. You will become a hot tub snob!
Guests have access to Hot Tub, Cookware, spices & cheeses for preparing meals, Laundry room, PlayStation 3 + games + DVDs/Blu-Ray collection, gas grill on front porch, & wood burning stove.
There is also everything you need to work while away, as needed. The home has WiFi and a printer/scanner/fax with USB cable plus a landline that guests may use for calling within the United States. Don't miss out on getting crucial work done while you play in the mountains!
There are certain doors labeled 'Owner Locker.' You may not open nor attempt to open anything locked and/or labeled Owner Locker.
I'm hands off with guests to ensure you have privacy and a great stay, however, I live nearby and am happy to give support as needed! As a 7-season pass holder at Heavenly, I love giving tours of the mountain when I'm in town and as a former snowboarding instructor and founder of ((website hidden)), love nothing more that teaching and sharing the sport with others...don't be afraid to ask for a lesson! :)
I have outfitted the house with the Lowe's Iris system and can control the thermostat, porch lights and unlock the doors remotely in case a guest forgets the codes.
NO NEED FOR KEYS! Just give your fellow guests the door code and keep the house secured at all times without the concern of having to meet or wait for someone else to gain access, while having the comfort of knowing that your personal belongings are safely secured at all times.
In the summer, you are just steps out the door to hike and bike the Nevada side of Heavenly and the Tahoe Rim Trail, which passes by the neighborhood. Epic views await!
In the winter, you are just 100 yards from the front door to the bottom of Heavenly's Stagecoach Express high-speed quad. In about 5.5 minutes you are at the top of a 1300 vertical foot run! From the top of this chair you can access all of Heavenly. The Nevada side of Heavenly features the deepest and steepest Heavenly has to offer, but also accesses many intermediate runs and the top of the Gondola is just two chairs away.
You can also play golf at, just 5 miles down the hill in Stateline, NV. (Look up Edgewood Golf Course or Golf in South Lake Tahoe).
There is room for about 8-10 vehicles at the base of the steps in front of the home. The road widens for the turnout in an Owner/Guest only parking strip along Quaking Aspen.
Heavenly guests are not allowed to park there and because of how far away the next closest homes are, there's never a problem parking right in front!
Before 6pm during winter, you can catch the BlueGo bus across the street, just past the entrance to The Ridge Resort, or it's $2/per person after 6pm. It comes once per hour until 11:56pm at 56 minutes past the hour. For more info, look up BlueGo.
During winter, the Heavenly buses run even more frequently...sometimes as often as 5 minutes apart!
To come back, if it's after midnight, or you'd like to simple come back on your schedule, you can take a cab for around $15-25, depending on your location in town. I recommend going with Blackjack Taxi service. They have great drivers, and are super timely.
If you fly into Reno, you can take a bus straight from the airport into South Lake Tahoe then a cab up to the house from the Montbleu Casino.

About Salvatore DeGuarda
I'm a Bay Area native, living in San Francisco for the past 12 years, but now a transplant to South Lake Tahoe. I've given up my construction business to chase my passion for snowboarding.
Salvatore DeGuarda purchased this condo in 2013
Why Salvatore DeGuarda chose Heavenly Valley
I have wanted a home up here for a long time. Fate took me up here full-time, as it wasn't a planned move when I was bidding on the property. I have an apartment nearby so I can stay close to the mountain and be there for guests, when necessary.
What makes this condo unique
The main reasons I fell in love with this property were:
1. Proximity to chair lift in winter & hiking/biking in summer.
2. Privacy of home, while so close to the action. You feel like there's no one around you when you're in the home.
3. High ceilings and new carpet and paint. It's been cared for.
4. What I knew the hot tub would do to complete the house. Along with adding the 7-person tub, I put in new bedroom sets, beds, cookware, and built a secure wet room to stash boards & skis as you're coming in.
5. The Iris system & Schlage keypad deadbolts. Multiple guests in the same house and no key needed!
Guestbook comments from the owner
Flo's place was very nice and ,like he says in his description, well stocked with everything you could need! The hot tub is huge! Flo made it very easy to access his house for our stay - everything was done via text and he was readily available via text to answer any questions. The Stagecoach express ski lift was right out the door, which would be awesome during the ski season but for the summer there is a trail leading to a rim trial for biking and hiking. I would def stay here again! Ah - the only thing worth noting is that since the house is on the mountain, its built into a pretty steep hill - which means stairs, made for a good workout if you go back and forth to your car. Place was great tho!
