Hunting Style Cabin with a View!! Wakeup up and open the door in the master bedroom to hear the soft chirping of local birds. Drink coffee and lounge on the wrap around deck with a stunning view of the mountains before you. The home itself is a large 2400 square foot residence with a wood and electric fireplace, open floor plan, dining area, kitchen, washer/dryer, theater room downstairs with a 60” television and blue ray player, upstairs is a family room with a 42” television, satellite television is connected to all the tv’s throughout the house, and wireless internet is also available for those that need to check a quick email or two.
The home is built on 10 acres and your nearest neighbor is more than a ¼ mile away. There is a 15 foot waterfall which drains into a pond, so you can hear the sounds of the water gushing down the rocks as it makes its way to the bottom. At the edge of the pond there is a small beach for the children to build their sandcastles and to play at the water’s edge. We have put in a rock barrier to not walk past in the pond if the children want to wade in there, just because there is plastic on the bottom and they will slip very easily if they crawl over.
The home is located less than 1/8 mile from the National Forest, which is home to some of Wyoming’s best snowmobiling areas the valley has to offer. With over 300 inches of snow annually, groomed ride out trails, and deep powder riding available you will be able to ride straight from the front door to the trailhead without even having to load your sled in or onto a trailer. In the summer you can try your hand at fishing in the local creeks and rivers, ride your ATVs to the top of the mountain for a sunset picnic, hike a side hill and look through your binoculars and see if you can find wildlife sunning themselves across the way from you. Horses are on sight, and can be arranged for half or full day guided horseback rides if desired.
The property also has a guest cabin/bunkhouse that can be rented separately for $100.00 each night; it sleeps up to 6 people. If you want to rent both homes at the same time for larger groups I am sure we can work a deal.
I cannot wait for you to enjoy and fall in love with my home just as much as I have. We look forward to hearing from you, and until then enjoy life to its fullest.
Orginally from Pennsylvania I moved to the Starvalley area early 2003. 11 years later I wakeup everyday living my dream of spending 6 months out of the year hunting and guiding hunters to some of the best Elk, Deer, and Buffalo that Wyoming has to offer. In the summer I fly and run a hunting camp on the North Slope by Deadhorse, AK.
Ralph or Camille Greene purchased this house in 2006
It is a great place for a girls getaway, romantic getaway, and also a safe and large area with many things for kids to do and a lot of great outdoor activites right out the front door! Let my home be your home on your vacation.
I built this home with a view. I wanted to wake up every morning stand on the balcony from the master bedroom and look out the large windows and see the mountains. The outdoors is my life, and I want to wakeup every morning and to be humbled by its beauty.
We stayed at the property in July with our friends and family. We had a great time. The house is a great place for the family - the kids loved staying in their cabin - away from the adults. We were close to Jackson, river rafting, fishing, and brought our quads (which we rode right out of the property to the National Forest). The house is rustic decorated with some great taxidermy work - my mom's favorite was the coyote!
All our dinners were on the deck enjoying the views! We also had several campfires and movie nights in the downstairs movie room.
We can't wait to get back and visit again. Thanks again Ralph and Camille.
This was one of the best vacations ever! The cabin was beautiful, especially if you are a hunter. The view is breath-taking from the deck and it sits at the base of the mountain in a very secluded area. I loved that the national forest was less than a mile away and we could take our four-wheeler right from the cabin to trails through pines and aspens.
One of the best things was being able to house all of the kids out in the bunkhouse. They loved it! The landscaping is beautiful with plenty of lawn for the kids to play games.
Camille is a fantastic hostess! She promptly responded to my text messages and made us feel right at home. We are already booking for next year.
There is so much to do in Star Valley so the location was perfect. We floated the Snake River, golfed, rode four-wheelers, hiked, took night scenic drives with the grandchildren singing to all the neighbors in Bedford (I think they thought it was a Heavenly choir of angels!), longboarded down the hill, played card games, and ate, and ate, and ate.............
I highly recommend this cabin but not on the week that we would like to return next year!!
Perfect cabin for a family get together. We had a relaxing time in the mountains and were close enough to go river rafting on the snake. The cabin has so much character and outstanding views. We will certainly look forward to coming back to this property.
A quiet and peaceful area, gorgeous views of the mountains where hiking trails and fishing is at your doorstep. You get away from the hussle and bussle of the city living, and right into the hunting style cabin.
