Both from New England, we wanted a cool, forested summer getaway for hiking, fishing and biking, and bought Antler Ridge Resort Cabins from the owners who developed the property in the 80's.
A place to vacation where we could get away from traffic, fast-food restaurants, and our face-paced lives in Tucson. We love walking to our favorite spots or hopping on an ATV or snowmobile in the winter. Greer is a small mountain village where you can have the conveniences of home without the stress. It's quiet but not too remote. You can walk to the oldest lodge in Arizona for dinner and a drink at the bar, or walk across the street to fish for native trout in the Little Colorado River.
Being in the center of town within walking distance to just about everywhere we want to go is great. Greer is unique in Arizona because it has a year-round population of only 125 and less than 700 lots primarily developed with beautiful vacation homes. It's close to Sunrise Ski Park without the traffic from Pinetop. We're on the slopes in 20 minutes and snowmobiling or cross-country skiing on developed trails just 10 minutes away.
