Are you coming for AMGEN? We are located three blocks from the starting place of the time trials scheduled for Monday, May 12th. The guest house is just steps away to over 30 miles of bike and walking trails stretching along the American River from Folsom to Sacramento and looping around Lake Natoma. You can rent bikes or kayaks within walking distance and explore the quiet waters or hike the oak-lined trails around the lake. Watch for the bald eagles and other wild life along its shoreline. Riding is very popular in Folsom and riders of all abilities and levels have plenty to enjoy. The river trail system starts at Folsom Lake and continues to Sacramento along gentle and scenic riverside trails. More challenging trails include the foothills and wine country, as well as the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains for more extreme riders and jumpers.
To explore outside of Folsom, light rail trains make frequent departures from Historic Folsom Station, just four blocks away. Sacramento is 22 miles and a relaxing 45 minutes away by train. Or spend a day exploring our local wine region just 45 minutes away in the spectacular unspoiled countryside of the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County.

The property was newly built in 2011 so the owners could enjoy river and trail access and the many activities in the Folsom Historic District. We enjoy riding the trails around both Folsom Lake and Lake Natoma, as well as spending time kayaking nearby. With the Folsom Pro-Rodeo in July, the rock festival 'Folsom Live' in September and events throughout year, this central location is fun. Although we are in town, we enjoy easy proximity to the river and many restaurants.
We are in the historic area, walking distance from everything, including the light rail train station that connects Folsom to the larger Sacramento metro area. We enjoy living by the river, in a quiet area of Folsom; close to both great outdoor recreation and an entertainment district for convenient restaurants and pubs.
My wife and I spent five weeks in the guest house. It was clean and comfortable and well provisioned from the start. The location - two blocks from downtown "old Folsom" and a short walk the the American River Canyon bike and walking trails - was terrific. It is a second floor location (above a separate garage), so not suitable for someone with mobility issues. We plan to return when we next visit our grandchildren and their family.
Absolutely love this apartment. Went on a girls getaway with my mom and this place was the perfect pick. The location is great - walking distance to historic downtown Folsom, and miles and miles of trails around Lake Natoma. You can walk, run, bicycle, kayak, paddle board.....The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked with coffee and other goodies. Stephanie, the owner, is awesome as well. I would definitely go back.
My Wife and I stayed in this perfect little Folsom cottage for several days while our own home (also a VRBO property) was rented! Being VRBO property owners ourselves, we are super picky about the little things that owners offer guests and the properties condition. Rest assured that this cottage is as good as it gets! Beautiful and comfortable furnishings, nicely stocked kitchen and perhaps most importantly a ideal location. Being within walking distance to all the old town Folsom shops, restaurants, farmers market, and the American River Parkway bike path was great! Being upstairs with views of majestic Oak trees made you fell you were in a luxury tree fort! Stephanie the owner was a very friendly and approachable host. We shall definitely return on our next "staycation"!
I stayed in this lovely apartment for two nights with my teenage son while we were visiting Folsom for a nearby rowing meet at Lake Natoma. The apartment was perfect for us with a one bedroom and a pullout couch. With a very modern and stylish decor, it also had every amenity we needed and was very neat and clean. We enjoyed being able to walk out the door to be downtown or on the bike path in minutes. Stephanie was a wonderful host. I highly recommend this apartment.
When we first arrived we were warmly greeted by the owner and we were more than happy with the apartment. Not only was it spotless, but had all the amenities you needed, fresh flowers, coffee/tea/hot coco maker, complimentary wine and extra toothbrushes, which i happened to forget at home. To make our get away even more enjoyable, the walking/bike trail with beautiful views of Folsom lake is just down the street and old time Folsom is only a block away with outdoor eating, music, bars, shops and a very reasonable Saturday farmers market. I highly recommend staying here and visiting the Folsom area, I know that we will back!!!
The apartment was spotless, well-equipped, and artistically furnished, and just a few steps from the bike trail. Stephanie is a gracious and generous hostess, providing everything from coffee to restaurant advice. We enjoyed a peaceful retreat while there.
Charming. Private. Peaceful. Relaxing. Centrally located in Folsom’s historic residential district. Walk to Lake Natoma, bike and walking trails, Historic Sutter Street and light rail. Private parking.

Walk to your choice of restaurants, two bakeries, coffee shops and micro-brew pubs. Our local farmers market runs year round on Saturday mornings, offering a tremendous assortment of fresh organic produce, baked goods, cheese, and beautiful flowers. Conveniently set on the bike path along the American River, the guest house is located within walking distance of three bridges, two lakes and miles of trails.
