“Sea Catch” is nestled in the heart of this charming island, tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac. This rental is a bright and cheerful with all the amenities of home. An open plan living, dining and kitchen makes the dwelling open and spacious. Although this rental is perfect for the couple looking for a romantic getaway there is ample room for four with a comfortable pull out Queen sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom has access from the living area and also from the bedroom for privacy. Walls are adorned with paintings, knick knacks and a stunning wood carving which highlight the originality and colour of the Bahamian spirit through art.
For those who enjoy home cooking ‘Sea Catch’ is a cook’s delight. With a variety of cookware, serving pieces and modern gadgets you will find everything you need for entertaining and producing that your special meal. Newly constructed pergola covered wooden deck gives an added entertainment area and extra living space which takes full advantage of the beautiful Bahamian weather. The barbecue gas grill is available to grill your catch of the day or filet Mignon purchased from the local grocery. An open lawn invites you to relax on the hammock or take in some sun on the lounge chairs. Tropical foliage has been planted to enclose the garden in a sea of greenery in the future. Sit on the cosy front porch with your morning coffee and enjoy waking up with nature.
The beach is ten minutes away by foot and just around the corner by golf cart or bike. Personal beach chairs and an ice chest are available in the cottage for you to take for your beaching pleasure. The white sand beach stretches for over 2 miles, perfect for enjoying the ocean breezes and taking in the stunning water view. At low tide the sand banks extend right out to sea leaving new shelling opportunities daily.
To stay in touch with the outside world there are televisions in the living and bedroom with Cable service and a Sirrus XM radio. There is an Ipod docking station and wireless Internet with a high speed connection so be sure to pack your I-pod and laptop. Full laundry facilities and a dishwasher give you all the conveniences required to make ‘Sea Catch’ your home away from home. Small library and board games are available to keep you entertained during indoor time.
We are a family of five, Rick and Linda with daughters Kristin, Karen and Laura. Rick, Linda and Laura live in Nassau,, Bahamas, Kristin and husband Dwayne and daughter Amarie are presently in Moscow and Karen with fiance Mario is in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. We are Bahamians born and raised who love our country and truly believe it is better in the Out Islands of the Bahamas!!

Rick's father and mother hail from Eleuthera, his mother from Harbour Island and father from Current. We have been visiting Spanish Wells for the past four years and each visit gave us a stronger appreciation for the people and life in Spanish Wells especially the true spirit of community that is so rare in the world these days. When looking to invest in this special island we kept coming back to Sea Catch. A special place that we felt not only could make an excellent rental but a place we could also call our vacation home and one day our home.

My wife and I stayed in Sea Catch along with our 2 year old son this past March 2014. The first thing I would like to say is that Sea Catch is a home rather than a rental house. From the moment you enter the house you can see a lot of love and dedication has been put into the decoration and upkeep of the home. It is beautifully decorated and has lots of natural light. The owners have done everything they can to make our stay as pleasant as possible and everything works in the house from the tv's to the blenders to the VHF radio to the golf cart. It is a chefs dream with every little toy you could need to have wonderful home cooked meals. Love and care into everything for sure. It nestled comfortably into a neighborhood in the Center of Spanish Wells and we enjoyed meeting the neighbors and seeing real life unfold on this special Island. Spanish Wells was a perfect get away for us and was very relaxing. Getting around on golf carts was fun and my 2 year old could not have been happier. Everyone waves to each other and laid back island life is the way to go for us. Couple of good restaurants including Shipyard for dinner and Buddha's bus for lunch.
The beaches are spectacular and there is a wonderful park in the west end for the kiddies.
Linda and Rick are amazing hosts and went as far as leaving some milk in juice for us in the fridge for our arrival…!!

Spanish Wells is community on the island of St. George's Cay, located at the northern tip of Eleuthera in the beautiful Bahamas. Spanish Wells is approximately two miles long and half a mile wide. The island has been extended by a bridge linking it to neighboring Russell Island. Spanish Wells has a population of approximately 1,500 residents. The people of Spanish Wells are known for their hard work, community spirit, friendliness, and strong principles. Historically, the island was used as a last stop for Spanish ships returning to Europe, where these ships refilled their water supply from wells created for this purpose.
Spanish Wells is predominantly a fishing village and is referred to as the fishing capital of The Bahamas. The main catch harvested from the sea by the fishermen is the Bahamian crawfish similar to lobster. Spanish Wells is an innovative community with a wide array of products and services available. Almost everything needed for modern day to day living can be obtained on the island.
Residents take great pride in their island. This is reflected in the upkeep of their homes and gardens which are landscaped with creativity and precision. Other than vehicles the most common mode of transport is by golf carts. Locals and guests leave their doors unlocked as crime is nonexistent. The local language is English spoken with somewhat of a British accent
There is a varied transportation system within St George’s which ensures goods and passengers flow to and from not only The Bahamas but the rest of the world. There are many avenues that provide this essential service, including freight and passenger boats that come directly to the island. There are direct flights into North Eleuthera airport from major airports in Florida. Once arriving in Eleuthera there is a 15 minute drive to Jean's Bay Dock then a 10 minute ferry to Spanish Wells. There are many direct flights from Europe and the United States into Nassau with daily flights from various carriers into North Eleuthera. The ‘Bo Hengy’ is a vital fast ferry service that provides daily trips into Spanish Wells in the morning returning back to Nassau in the afternoon, a lovely 2 ½ hour cruise with wonderful ocean views in air-conditioned comfort or on the open air deck if you prefer.
The island boasts a modern grocery store with all the products one will find at home, along with native grown fruits and vegetables specialty jams and baked goods such as homemade bread and johnny cake. Fresh fish and crawfish are available in town. There are many snack bars and restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner, predominately serving Bahamian and American fare. The newest dining attraction is a sit down waterfront experience with a high end menu and exotic drink selection.
Spanish Wells has a very charming and inviting appeal which keeps the visitors returning. This is no tourist trap; people that visit become friends of the island and keep coming back to enjoy life as it used to be.

We have an on site property manager, Lorraine Beauregard, who will meet you upon arrival and introduce you to "Sea Catch'. Lorraine can assist with everything! Ask her about any excursions you may be interested in. We have our "Sea Catch" manual which hopefully will give you all the information you may need for you stay and we are always available by phone or email.
