Eric and Tina have lived in the Fairbanks area for 40 plus years. They have a wealth of information about the state of Alaska and the Fairbanks/North Pole area. They enjoy the outdoors including fishing and camping.
We have lovingly remodeled our home to accommodate visitors. The studio apartment is separate from our upstairs living area. The separate entrance provides privacy for our guests.
We provide a very clean, affordable, rural residential lodging option.
The studio was a great place to stay. Perfect size, clean, well equipped including kitchen gear for those who cook, quiet, and away from the city. The northern lights were easily visible right out the front door. Other wide open viewing area are nearby.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting a quiet place to enjoy all that the greater Fairbanks area has to offer.
Love this little VRBO, and the owners are terrific. We'd come to Northern Alaska on an Aurora chasing adventure and got more than we thought possible. This VRBO is located between Fairbanks and North Pole away from the city lights. We had done our research as to the best spots in the greater Fairbanks area for photographing the Aurora, but owner Tina's advice on locations within 10 miles of the VRBO gave us the best pictures of our trip. Inside the VRBO, the kitchen is amazing; fully stocked not only with dishes, pans and counter top appliances, but also spices, coffee and tea. All appliances including washer/dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator and gas stove all appeared to be brand new. Thanks so much for making this trip such a great time. We will be back!! (The picture below was taken from the driveway about 20 feet from the front door. )
Our stay was exceptional at the Arctic Fox, the owners have decorated and appointed with good taste and thoughtful ammenities. We found this location to be a great home base to explore Fairbanks, The North Pole, Chena Hot Springs and the surrounding areas. The studio is warm and welcoming when returning from a -40 degree excursion, and there were plug ins ready for our vehicle upon arrival. There is plenty of living space, easy to maintain and keep tidy. The kitchen is fully stocked, and well supplied with nice dishes, pots and pans and therefore easy to prepare a quick or more involved meal, we like to eat out but not every meal, and appreciate this cost saving option. The owners were there for any questions or suggestions, and yet we felt we had full privacy as well. We had several choices of bedding linens, all very nice and plenty of towels. The washer and dryer are top quality and allow renters to leave with all of the linens and towels washed and restocked. This place is a gem and we would certainly return, should we be in this area in the future. We love VRBO and this property is an example of why we do.
This listing is exactly as described and pictured, it was like stepping into the photos on the website. The place was spotless and owners very friendly and helpful with the "local lore". We arrived at the beginning of the Aurora viewing season but they weren't in "full bloom"yet and there were great nearby spots to observe. Denali is sight to behold and was a nice drive from Fairbanks. Did some hiking on the way to Chena Hot Springs and would stay here again
This was our first experience with VRBO and what a great way to start. Owners are great. Place was very quiet and extremely well equipped. Thank you Tina and Eric.
This was a clean great place to stay. I arrived late at night so they made sure i had acces to the studio and communicated with me beforehand. They were a nice hosting couple and told me about tje area. They had a binder with important information to know and takeut menus. I used the kitchen and laundry. I was pleasantly surprsed to see some of the basic condiments and cooking spices were already stocked, which cut down on the grocery bill. I,wuld recommend stayong here. Its abut 20 minutes away from the airport closer to north pole .
The quaint community of North Pole is located just 20 minutes from Fairbanks, where you will find plenty of summer and winter activities. The Arctic Fox Stay is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood, close to Fairbanks, 42 miles to Chena Hot Springs, close to Santa Claus House, and Chena Lakes Recreation Area. A well maintained bike path from the beginning of Badger Road to North Pole runs right by the Arctic Fox Stay. Bikes are available for free.
