Discover our room at Kauai Beach Resort --Vacationing in paradise has never been so affordable. (see the second thumbnail photo to the left for the view from our room) This property was formerly a Hilton resort and has recently undergone an $18 million renovation. The room is plush and comfortable with a view of the ocean from its private lanai. It is on the fourth floor and of course there are elevators for guest convenience.
The grounds of the resort are beautifully manicured featuring four refreshing crystal clear pools (one with a sandy bottom and a waterslide), 2 large hot tubs, and lush tropical landscaping, grottos and waterfalls. There are several restaurants and bars including a poolside bar. The resort is centrally located near the town of Kapaa and is a short 10-minute drive from Lihue Airport, which makes getting settled in fast and convenient. There are also free shuttles to local shopping and services in Lihue and nearby Kapaa downtown.
We are close to waterfalls, hiking, fishing, helicopter tours, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, beach walks, luaus, and several nearby golf courses. In the evening the expansive and beautiful resort grounds are lit by tiki torches and there is live Hawaiian music and entertainment by the pool and in the lounge. Other features include high speed internet access and cable TV, and free Wifi access in the lobby and restaurant. The resort has a business center and banquet/meeting rooms. The resort offers a free shuttle to the airport, Lihue, and nearby golf courses. For additional shuttle opportunities just ask the front desk.
Our rate is $89.00 per night plus a one-time $85.00 check-out/cleaning fee. If your party includes more than 2 people, the one-time cleaning fee is $115.00. The resort charges a one-time $50.00 check-in fee, which covers your keys and access to all of the resort's facilities, including free WiFi internet in the room. That's it. No other hidden fees. Parking is provided by the resort at $16.95 a day for full valet service if you have a car during your stay. Unfortunately, that is the only parking option the resort currently provides, but you will notice that paying for parking is extremely common at most Hawaii resorts.
Guests who book through travel agencies or directly through the resort pay roughly $175/night, and that additional $80+ a day only adds the resort's daily maid service. We don't provide daily maid service, which is why we charge the one-time $85 check-out/cleaning fee--to make sure the room is clean and ready for our next guests. Compare prices and you'll see bargains just don't get any better than what we as owners can offer you!
The owners are two couples from the San Francisco Bay Area who love spending time in Kauai so much that we decided to buy our own slice of paradise. We wish we could spend all of our time in Kauai, but when we can't be there we offer our place at the Kauai Beach Resort for rent to responsible vacationers who are looking to make the most of Kauai and their vacation dollars.
The central location of Kauai Beach Resort makes it the perfect jumping off point for everything there is to do on Kauai. The exotic and beautiful Na'apali coast is 45 minutes away to the North, and the gorgeous northeastern coast is just right up the road. Five minutes down the road is the lovely town of Kapaa, which hosts shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, scuba and surf rentals, and much, much more. Everything you'll need or want to enjoy on Kauai is readily accessible from Kauai Beach Resort.
We are a group of 4 friends from the San Francisco Bay Area who have enjoyed our visits to Kauai so much that we just had to purchase our own slice of paradise. We love having a place of our own when we visit the beautiful Garden Isle. We aren't able to visit as often as we wish we could, and so we are offering our place up for rent at rock bottom prices in order to cover our association expenses while we are away. We all feel that Kauai is the most beautiful of the Hawaiian Islands, and can proudly offer this beautiful, clean and comfortable unit for rent to other visitors we hope will fall in love with the Island as we have. One visit to Kauai and we know that you will feel the same way we do--that it is truly paradise on earth.

Kauai is the most beautiful place on earth and we chose Kauai Beach Resort becaue of their beautiful landscaping, high-quality finishes and ideal central location. Getting around the island is a breeze no matter what your destination.
Put quite simply, you can enjoy all of the beauty and atmosphere of Kauai without paying the high prices charged by the big business resorts. We want for your money to buy you as much vacation as possible. We've made that a reality for you by offering our place for rent while we are away and unable to enjoy it ourselves.
We had such an amazing time here. The bed was so comfortable. The room was small, but I think it accommodated me and my husband perfectly. We stayed eight days. The room smelled so clean (not damp or musty), which is sometimes not the case with hotels located on a beach. The bed linens smelled fresh, too. To be honest, we really didn't spend much time in the room or on the resort other than to sleep at night because there was just too much to do around the island. But it always felt so welcoming when we got back at the end of the day. We are already talking about our next trip, and I think we would like to stay here again.
My wife and and I VERY much enjoyed our stay in your condo!!!!! The room is very nice, and well appointed, we also enjoyed the lanai a lot!!! The resort is absolutely gorgeous, we loved all the waterfalls, and the hot tubs! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent!
We do however wish we had rented a car as NOTHING is within walking distance of the resort.....
Everything we could have asked for here, including a wine bottle opener!...Enjoyed our stay, and time on the beach...(just three minute walk), far enough from the airport, this is a quiet little retreat with a view of the ocean, easy driving distance from everything.
We loved our stay! We thought it was an unbelievable bargain for a stay at a resort this nice. The room was great- we were able to see some of the other rooms at the resort, and they all looked about the same. Apparently, this resort had been a Hilton up until a few years ago. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony (we would visit one of the many local farmers markets) while taking in the view. The grounds and landscaping at the resort are so nice. 4 pools, a small water slide, a nice bar by the salt water pool- we were suprised by how nice it all was. We noticed someone commented about the pools not being warm enough. That was not an issue for us. Hawaii is 80 degrees all year, so it's just not a problem. Another thing we enjoyed was that there is no development on either side of the resort. You can walk down the beach and be alone almost immediately.
We liked the location of the resort. You can be in Kapaa or Kalapaki in a very short drive (lots of great restaurants) and it is centrally located between the North and South shores. Poipu was 25 minutes away and Princeville just a bit further. Near the resort is Lydgate park (2 min) which has a great swimming beach. There are also some amazing waterfalls to see close to the resort.
One other perk is that it is less than 10 minutes from the airport. So you can be enjoying the pool right after landing:)
We found the owner to be very professional and responsive. Booking on the site was so easy and our questions were addressed by the detailed information on their page.
We highly reccommend staying here!
We were very happy with our stay at the Kauai Beach Resort. Our room was neat and exactly what the pictures showed. The resort was also very neat and clean, staff very friendly, great food, entertainment every night .... The spa was excellent and the massages are worth the price. We liked the location also, as it was easy to get to either side of the island from there. The owners were very easy to communicate with and answered any emails or questions promptly. We would definitely book this place again.
Owner was very easy to work with and was easy to get a hold of. Responded quickly when I had a question for her. If owner response and resort grounds were only thing reviewed, this would have been a 5-star. Unfortunately, room didn't live up to my expectations.
Resort is centrally located and made it very easy to navigate between the South and North shores.
Upon arrival to the Kauai Beach resort, we were enchanted by the resort grounds. Mature landscaping, beautiful foliage, fountains, pools, very clean. The resort staff was polite and went out of their way to accommodate any need we had. Restaurant food was slightly above average, but overpriced.
We were very disappointed to learn upon check in, however, that food in the room is "strictly" prohibited. Since we had gone to the grocery store after the airport and before we made it to the resort, we ignored this rule. Resort management makes you sign an agreement acknowledging food is not allowed in the rooms. Room is situated with mini-fridge, while microwave and toaster are in common area on a different floor. Reminded me very much of dorm life.
Room was very loud. We could easily hear neighbors talk in the hallways and close their room doors at night. If you are looking for peace and quiet, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Room overlooked dirt parking area for hotel staff who often took their cigarette breaks beneath our room.
Overall, I would consider going back to the Kauai Beach resort due to it's central location and accommodating staff.
Three mile walking beach, two large hot tubs, four pools including one sand-bottomed pool, pool-side bar, and the most amazing sunrises you'll ever see. Great central location close to many Kauai attractions! 3 miles to Fern Grotto, 5 miles to City Center, 5 miles to Kilohana Plantation, 12 miles to Spouting Horn, 5 miles to Wailua Falls, 7 miles to Sleeping Giant, 25 miles to Napali Coast, 20 miles to Waimea Canyon, 28 miles to Princeville Golf Courses, 25 miles to Anini Beach, 22 miles to Kilauea Lighthouse, 17 miles to Poipu Beach Park, 21 miles to Haena State Park, 25 miles to Russian Fort Elizabeth State Historic Park, 17 miles to Koloa Plantation, 30 miles to Hanalei Bay, 30 miles to Lumahai Beach, 39 miles to Polihale State Park, 42 miles to Kokee State Park. Directions to Kauai Beach Resort: Getting to our tropical Kauai resort is as easy as our Garden Island lifestyle. We’re located just 4 miles from Lihue Airport off Kuhio Highway 56. Exit the airport & turn RIGHT (north) on Kapule Hwy 51. The name changes to KUHIO HWY 56. At the next traffic light stay in the right lane & continue north 0.25 mile until you see the white signs for Kauai Beach Resort with two flag poles. Turn right at the signs and the resort is straight ahead through the tunnel of trees.
