Perfect Blend of History and Convenience

  • 5 out of 5
To stay in London in a Historical building while in a neighborhood environment with local pubs and markets yet still a simple and easy boat river ride from all of London's main tourist sites is an attempt to describe a stay at the Royal Arsenal. Funky and cool, yet Elegant and Historic… Posh yet understated… Simply Wonderful!

What more can I say more than I plan to return here - yearly!

Owner's Response: We are of the same opinion.. and are lucky enough to have this Hall to stay in ourselves..

We love it too... though we will be renovating the house further in the coming months.. only to make it nicer to stay in.. a bit greener when it comes to energy use.. keep up with the passage of time..change some paintings around and swap some artefacts over with others from our château in France..

Notes:
On site there is a pub restaurant the Dial Arch..and a Deli Cafe Couture. There is also a cafe restaurant in the Artillery Museum which is on the Royal Arsenal. The town centre has plenty of Cafe's. You can get a really good meal at our local Tai Tap Chinese starting at less than £4 for a Main Course..and it is an immense serving..enough for two, possibly.. Also all major UK banks are in the High St. If you want fruit..the market 3mins walk 6days a week.. is one of the few remaining 'real markets' in London. There plenty of super markets and food shops. We may be able to provide some guidance with regards to visiting London. We can send you Links to Websites that may be of some help..especially with regard to local travel and events. We have some actual experience having given personal guided tours and we speak several languages. French, Spanish, Italian, Russian..and possibly some more. Cars in London.. it can be hard work to drive into the centre of London..
