A hidden gem in the sunshine

Review Submitted: 27 April 2013 Date of Stay: December 2012
I stayed here twice - once over Christmas and once in the summer. The house is wonderful - great decor that is so artistic and so comfortable. The house is on several levels with quirky indoor stairs leading to the various levels that culminate at the top with the covered outdoor terrace with it's bird's eye view of the surrounding countryside.
At cocktail hour, the view of the birds twirling around look like they know where to fly in order to better entertain you!
I love the indoor courtyard where each step is embellished with a potted plant and the lovely pebble marquetry laid down on the floor - the indoor and outdoor dining options in the courtyard give you two possibilities and then of course you also could choose the grand dining room in the house itself.

The beds are super comfortable, the linens crisp and white, and there are bathrooms on each floor where the bedrooms are located. The kitchen is a cook's dream and we spent many many hours there during our Christmas holidays plotting and planning the festive meals.

Uzes within a short drive is one of the most lovely medieval villages in France, it has an authentic french food market with all the best local products - there are great boutiques and delicious restaurants too.
The owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and we discovered some great places to go swimming along a river.

One of the best holiday rentals I've been on! I know a good rental accommodation when I seen one as I also let out apartments.

We have had a busy week, swimming, walking and mountain biking! We particularly love a trail which starts in Foussargues, one of the best ever!! We very much enjoyed meeting you too and we will be very sorry to leave tomorrow. Hopefully we can return again next year?!

Thank you for your warm welcome and for lending us your house - we appreciate it very much.

Es war alles perfekt.

Review Submitted: 05 February 2012 Date of Stay: August 2010
