Three Gates Farm is situated in rural mid Devon near Tiverton, close to the Devon/ Somerset border. We are easily accessible, only 15 minutes drive from the M5 (J27) and Tiverton Parkway railway station (two hours to Paddington). We are just outside Huntsham village, three miles from the popular town of Bampton, which has a range of excellent pubs, restaurants, cafes and local shops and six miles from the market town of Tiverton. We are within easy reach of the beaches of the North and South coasts (about 40 minutes drive to either coast) as well as Exmoor and Dartmoor.
Three Gates is very well placed for a wide variety of activities - from spending a day on horseback to fossil hunting. In the local area you can visit the National Trust properties at Knightshayes and Killerton, shop at Bickleigh Mill and ride the little trains at the Devonshire Railway Center, or get lost in the Maize Maze (summer only). Whilst shopping in Tiverton call in at the refurbished Pannier Market, visit Tiverton Castle or learn more about the local history at the Tiverton Museum. You can race quad bikes at Quad World, drive real diggers at Diggerland, or have fun all day at Creely Adventure Park. If you enjoy clay pigeon shooting or fancy having a go then you couldn't do better than to book a session at the Shaldon Shooting School. Why not hire bikes and cycle along the picturesque Grand Western Canal or take a leisurely trip on a horse drawn barge. You could also visit nearby Exmoor and its pretty towns such as Dulverton and Dunster. There's plenty to do on the moor such as falconry, go on safari, pony trekking, walking and cycling.
Further afield the coasts of north and south Devon, Somerset and Dorset are definitely worth a visit. To the north there are the beautiful sandy beaches at Croyde, Woolacombe, and Saunton and to the south the fascinating Jurassic coast - lose a few hours fossil hunting at Lyme Regis. While on the south coast pay a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary, take a ride on the Seaton Trams or have fun at Pecorama.

About Jonathan Ball & Lynn Palethorpe
We (Jonathan, Lynn and Ellie May) moved to Three Gates Farm in July 2010. We were first shown Three Gates Farm on the popular BBC programme 'Escape to the Country'! Our programme was first aired in February 2010 (series 10) and is being repeated every now and then! The Escape to the Country team revisited us in 2011 to show how our life had changed after buying property 'number two'. Our revisit appears alongside another couple's search in North Devon (series 12).
