A classic example of an early 19th century grey roof Dalmatian stone villa tucked away in a cul-de-sac street of the picturesque downtown Bol. Spacious and centrally located, Cassandra is surrounded by a large enclosed garden. It is therefore a peaceful and quiet villa, almost a secret retreat in the middle of a very attractive and popular tourist resort, home to Zlatni Rat beach.

Exceptionally close to most of the town’s bars, restaurants, shops and beaches, this is a perfect easy living holiday home. It is well suited to friends and family reunions, families with children of all ages, couples sharing and, above all, to those looking forward to spending the most desirable holiday of all: to be in the middle of it all while enjoying relaxation and the intimacy of their private holiday home.

Outside Area

Spacious terrace for dining al-fresco, shaded by lemon and mandarin trees, as well as vine-trees spreading above the dining table.

Small but wonderful Rose Cottage to the right, a little rustic but most romantic in white and light colours, decorated with love in a sweet and cosy shabby chic design with the combination of unavoidable Dalmatian details and wall Moroccan tiles. Serves as an additional kitchen/dining room.

In front of the cottage is a sunbathing terrace with additional dining table and deck chairs shaded by an almond tree and sun umbrellas. Next is a very beautiful infinity swimming pool 7mx4m, tiled in blue with Greek design and surrounded with Italian terracotta reddish tiles.

Large colourful garden scented with roses of all colors, orange blossom, oleander, lavender, rosemary and many other Mediterranean trees, herbs, flowers and shaded by the olive trees. Various organic fruits and self-produced vegetables available to our guests free of charge.

I live in London and run the villa with the help of my entire family, especially my husband Misha, my son Luka, my two very dedicated housekeepers, professionals and very kind friends in Bol. We all have one aim – to make your holiday a fairytale.

Sandra purchased this villa in 2002

Easy access to the mainland and very approachable.

Beautiful aquamarine color beaches, clean and numerous, plenty of watersports activities, lots of fun, day and night entertainment.

Lovely little town and well organised, a real summer delight.

It is a house with a soul and character, built entirely from original stones. Feel of romance and glamour revives the nostalgia of the past times.

A home away from home...

  • 5 out of 5
On arrival we were firstly impressed that Villa Cassandra was situated on a rise just a stone’s throw behind Bol township. Just a five minute walk from the ferry and a very short stroll to the tourist centre, bus stop, supermarkets and restaurants. First impressions mean a lot and Villa Cassandra did not disappoint. The stone fence around the property creates real privacy as you wander around the fruit trees or take in the sea views from the patio. The beautifully preserved roman house next door only adds to the enchantment this property exudes. Moving inside I was impressed by how this Villa could be so grand in terms of size and yet still have so much character and a sense of homeliness. Each of the four over sized bedrooms have their own en suite and the king size beds all had plenty of linen and duvets, each with a different view of Bol. The kitchen is ideal for preparing meals with again ample space and every appliance or utensil catered for. With the grand dining table being within the kitchen area we also enjoyed being able to all share and interact with everyone together rather than someone being locked away in the kitchen! We equally enjoyed our breakfasts outside on the patio. Our holiday in Bol was made an a real delight thanks to Villa Cassandra and I wish to thank the owners for their thoughtfulness in preparing this villa as our holiday home.

Fantastic stay!

  • 5 out of 5
This was our second stay in a row at this villa. The house is in a great location at a charming resort. Very luxurious and spacious with a lovely organic garden. Almost didn't need to go shopping for fruit and vegetables. Both the owners and the housekeepers were very helpful and kind. We will definitely be back next year because we love it and it is great value for money. We are also looking forward to the new swimming pool next year. Highly recommended. Valentina and Ivan

Superbe maison au coeur du village de Bol

  • 4 out of 5

  • 5 out of 5

A little piece of paradise!

  • 5 out of 5
I'd just like to thank you for providing us with a wonderful holiday. Everything was absolutely perfect; the villa, its imposing location, the charming garden with its orange, lemon, olive trees, and vines hanging over the large terrace. It was very convenient being so close to both the town centre and the beach, without any traffic. Also the sea view from the house is amazing.

The villa itself is spacious, and welcoming and has every facility you will need. It has been beautifully and lovingly restored by its current owners. Offering plenty of charm and character, it has at the same time all the luxuries of a modern house with a fabulously well equipped kitchen, satellite TV (including sports channels), WiFi and toys for little ones.

The highlight for us was the daily walk along the marble paved footpath to the stunning Zlatni Rat beach. The smells of the sea and surrounding pine trees are just divine. We wish we could take it back with us! Of all the beaches we’ve been to in Europe, this has been our favourite. It is truly unspoilt, a real gem with crystal clear waters and panoramic views across to the neighbouring island, Hvar.

Bol town has a picturesque little harbour, with a good selection of bars, cafes, and restaurants with a variety of cuisine. Its narrow winding roads and old stone houses offer a genuine Mediterranean ambiance.

There are endless sea and sports activities in Bol such as cycling, tennis, volleyball, diving, water skiing, kayaking, jet skiing and wind surfing. You will find there is not enough time to do everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and very much look forward to coming back.

Go there - it is excellent.

Charming house, beautiful location!

  • 5 out of 5
Our extended family of ten people aged 6 to 77 spent a wonderful week at Villa Cassandra in July. Six of us had been last year; all of us would happily return.

The house itself is of great character and charm. It is one of the oldest surviving villas in the town and the owners clearly take great pride in it. This is reflected in the quality and taste of the fixtures and fittings, and also in the personal touches such as family photos on the walls and the interesting stories of local history recounted in the house guidebook. This is clearly not a buy-to-let money spinner, but a much cherished family holiday home which visitors are invited to enjoy.

The descriptions and photos give a fair impression of the details of the house - if anything underselling it as we were perfectly comfortable in a group of ten (our four teenage girls being very happy to share the large top floor bedroom in a week long sleepover party!). Bedrooms and bathrooms all very comfortable, kitchen well equipped, extra cooker, fridge and barbecue in the 'cookhouse' adjacent to the patio. Fresh herbs in the garden and lemons ready to pick from the tree. Daily visits from the housekeeper who can sort out any problems.

Equal praise goes to the town of Bol itself. It achieves the tricky task of catering very well for holiday makers without being spoilt. There is little traffic as many tourists arrive by catamaran, and most streets are those lovely narrow lanes, winding between old houses made of the beautiful light stone for which the island is famous. The coast line either side of the town is famously beautiful, with gorgeous views across the strait to the island of Hvar. It's a bit of walk to the beaches (or get a water boat, or the little 'train'), but the lovely promenade built between the town and Zlatny Rat beach make this a pleasant stroll - cheap, good ice cream can help motivate the younger ones at this point! The general sense of good taste extends to the restaurants and cafes - lovely sea front locations with stunning views, under ancient shady trees, romantic lighting at night. We ate out twice at Taverna Riva where the food was good.

Bol attracts tourists from many countries - there are no English pubs or English breakfasts, but good English is spoken in shops and restaurants - perfect!

If you have the time we highly recommend flying into Split and spending a couple of days there at one or both ends of your trip.

The small and picturesque village of Bol is located in the most beautiful part of Brac. Originally home to fishermen and farmers, it has become one of the pearls of Croatian tourism. Its numerous beaches, especially Zlatni Rat (the Golden Cape), which according to many is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, make Bol special. Its cultural monuments, such as the 15th century Dominican monastery and 18th century Rennaissance mansion which is adjacent to Cassandra, the museum, art galleries and 16th century Gothic summer house make it an interesting cultural resort.

Besides a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, many within a short walk of the house, there are night clubs, a cinema and a wellness and spa centre within a 15 minutes walk.

The village has also become popular with lovers of adventure sports, such as paragliding, windsurfing, diving, tennis, etc.
