Ideally located, within a short stroll of the village centre, boasting many restaurants, shops & bars, you will find 'Solrio'

Our new & contemporary apartment consists of 1 double bedroom (configures also to 2 twin singles) with its own private balcony, sliding wardrobes, safe and air conditioning. Walking in to the living area, to the right, is a modern bathroom and then onwards in to a vast open space for dining and relaxing.

We have furnished this apartment with all the luxuries that you would expect in order to totally enjoy your stay including a black ''L'' shaped sofa that also converts to a 2nd double bed, modern dining area in a black & white design, satalite tv & ipod player.

Should you wish to dine in, we have a fully equipped kitchen with all electrical appliances including dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, hob & oven, or enjoy your meal 'el-fresco', on our large additional sun terrace, before relaxing with the superb outdoor furniture that has been provided !

Alvor Village: The location of Solrio Riverside Suites, allows you total privacy & relaxation, with the added advantage of being central. The award winning 'Alvor beach' is less than 10 minutes walk from your apartment via a stunning boardwalk, allowing you to take in some great scenery and giving you the opportunity to discover parts of Alvor's Estuary, not accessible before!

The local Council of Alvor have also provided centre concrete walkways, in many of its cobbled streets, ideal for those guests who may require a little assistance with walking. This addition however, does not detract form the beauty of this stunning village.

Our ground floor apartment also allows ease of access from the complex and is ideally sited with direct access to the pool area, via private steps (unique to apartments on this level).As Solrio is built on a hill, our Ground Floor apartment enjoys an elevation facing towards the pool and beyond, maximising upon those all important views,

This apartment was formally the show unit and is therefore not only one of the largest open plan designed 1 bedroomed units in Solrio, but is also centrally located within this luxury complex

Attention to detail! is important to us so that our guests will experience the very best in luxury apartment living when staying at Solrio. We have therefore equipped and furnished this apartment with beautiful furniture and all those little extra things that makes a holiday perfect!

For those guests who are celebrating a special occasion, we are happy to discuss how we can add those final special touches, to make that first initial impact upon arrival, something rather special.

Getting Around!: Many visitors to Portugal, decide not to drive when on holiday and again, this is why Solrio is a great choice when deciding where to stay. We are centrally situated, with an easy walk to the main square of the village and only minutes away from many restaurants & bars. We are also happy to arrange airport transport for you (at an additional cost)

Private underground 'off road' parking is offered with access to your holiday apartment via simple steps or lift

Should you decide that you wish to dine at home, a new supermarket has now opened and is situated only a short walk away from your apartment. This store supplies a wide and varied range of food and drinks that will allow you to enjoy dining at home.

About Joanne & Mark Shuttleworth

We have taken holidays in this part of the Algarve for many years and love our apartment at Solrio dearly.

Like many of our guests, both Jo & I lead very busy working lives and therefore really appreciate everything that Alvor and Solrio have to offer

Living in the North West of the UK, does not guarentee the best of weather, but can always rely on the Algarve for the sun

Having family living close to Alvor, allowed us to purchase our apartment with confidence and ensure that its Management and standards are kept to the highest level

Who could not find Solrio stunning, still considered as thee place to stay when visiting Alvor, something that we are so proud to own a part of.

What makes this apartment unique

Solrio is as unique as its location meaning that you do not have to hire a car and yet are central to everything:- the beach, the restaurants & bars, the shops. Come the evening however, there is such a peace & tranquil atmnosphere that you experience, you forget how close to the village you really are!

As our apartment is the former show unit, it commands one of the best central positioning in Solrio, 'bloco 3' and has the distinct advantage of having its own sun terrace and balcony, with direct pool and garden access, rather than access via the communal garage. We are also located Ground Floor, however due to Solrio being built in to a hill, gives you perfect 1st floor elevation from our sun terrace, perfect to soak in those amazing views

The sheer size of this apartment, guarantees you more living space than many other Solrio units, essential for families and couples alike, in ensuring you really enjoy apartment living.

Furniture, both internal and external, are of the highest quality and give a real contemporary feel to the apartment. The additions of SKY tv and an iPod docking station, will just add to the enjoyment of your stay

Alvor is a coastal fishing village with quaint narrow cobbled streets that boast numerous bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is only a few minutes walk and is a superb 3 mile stretch of golden sand and is rated one of the best on the Algarve. The area is a golfer’s paradise with the championship course at Penina just a 10 minute drive, also Alto, Gramacho, Quinta De Morgado & Palamares all within a 15 minute drive. The new Algarve Racetrack is within a 15 minute drive.You can drive or go on excursions up into the Monchique Mountains or to the Marinas at Lagos or Portimao where there are plenty of boat trips to choose from. Also there are water parks and the marine zoo nearby. For those wanting to dance the night away Praia de Rocha is a 5 minute taxi ride (5 Euro).There are a number of historic places worth a visit including Lagos, Silves & Loule. There are numerous coach tours & Jeep safaris available for those not wishing to drive.

Hi Mark and Joanne
It was a pleasure to stay in such a stunning well maintained apartment set in beautiful secure grounds, with a view and sunset to die for. The large comfortabley furnished outdoor area with direct access to the pool and garden are an added bonus.
Alvor is a wonderful holiday getaway with fantastic eateries, what's more you don't need a car as the local bus service is reliable and boat trips are so varied. However if you do decide to go further afield the area is wonderful and it is so good to know you are going back to the Solrio and that amazing sunset, with a glass of wine of course!
Neil dutson who met and greeted us is an absoulute diamond, nothing is to much trouble for him, thank you Neil for all your help.

A stunning modern spacious apartment which has direct access to the pool and in a prime location.

Myself, my husband and our two little boys really enjoyed our visit to Alvor and the highlight was staying in this beautiful apartment! The location is perfect, a short walk away from the restaurants and stunning beach of Alvor plus the new supermarket just across the road. We loved sitting on the huge terrace which is so peaceful watching the sun going down over the river, breathtaking.

Thanks to Mark, Jo and Neil who went over and above to make our stay special, we will definitely be returning.

Well, myself and Darren have stayed in Alvor a number of times but never in place like Solrio. The appartment is out of this world and the location is superb for all amenties.The new supermarket is in a prime location.

The appartment was extremely clean on arrival. I can't think of anything we needed that we didn't have.

We certainly didn't want to go home and we will be back as soon as possible.

High spec, beautiful views and great location

This was our first visit to Alvor and it was a real success. The apartment was great even better than the pics. The terrace is a real highlight with lovely views and the pool area is really nice. The location is incredible, big supermarket across the road and short walk to the centre of the town.

Mark and Jo were really helpful and along with Neil sorted us out with a cot and highchair for a baby.

I'd highly recommend this apartment.

Outstanding!!

The pictures do not do justice.Have visited Alvor 4 times previously and by far this apartment beats all by a mile.The complex is so close to the town centre it is literally 2 minutes and the new Pingo Dolce supermarket which is brilliant and very well priced is just over the road.

Everything is spotless and brand new.The terrace which overlooks the pool is HUGE! The best there.The grounds are immaculately kept.
I could not recomend this apartment highly enough and we will most certainly return.

A lovely touch was the wine,water,and milk, especially the wine!
