1 bedroom 1.5 bath top floor corner unit - very private

Lae Nani 231 is located on Kauai's beautiful coconut coast. The unit overlooks the pool, lawn, beach, ocean and majestic mountains. We are located on the top floor in a corner end unit, which affords ultimate privacy. Panoramic ocean views are available from the living room, dining room, kitchen and lanai.

Complete renovation finished Sept. 2013. Living room and dining room accented with bamboo crown molding and tiger wood floors. Kitchen and entry floors have inlayed travertine borders on porcelain. The kitchen is equipped with brand new stainless steel appliances including refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher and stove. Also includes new stainless steel cookware, coffee maker, french press and electric kettle. The counters are finished in magma granite.

Master bedroom is carpeted with premium carpet. It is appointed with a king bed and new 14' memory foam mattress and fine linens. The queen size sleeper sofa is equipped with a plush bed mattress (5 star on amazon). All interior doors are solid teak, plantation style.

Rainforest marble counters in both baths and inlayed marble on travertine floors. Master bath has large shower lined in travertine and decorative tile. Built in bench and hand held or stationary showerheads. Luxury towels provided.

Smart TV's are located in both living room and bedroom. State of the art wireless high speed internet enables streaming of Netflix movies without buffering. 2.1 sound bar in living room also allows you to stream music from your bluetooth device. Also available is a Bose sounddock 10 in the bedroom.

The lanai is furnished with a bar height table that seats four. This allows for an unobstructed view over the railing. We have also provided a large cushioned chair and ottoman which is perfect for relaxing and reading or just enjoying the magnificent surroundings.

Our sandy beach allows easy access for swimming, boogeyboarding, or just floating in the warm waters of the Pacific. The 'keiki pool' (children's pool) is surrounded by lava rock to create a shallow natural pool with a sand bottom that flushes out daily with the tidal surge.

This unit is walking distance, on the beach path, to the famous Hukilau Lanai restaurant. It is also a short walk to the Coconut Marketplace which offers eateries, galleries, boutiques and a convenience store.

Some onsite conveniences are coin-operated laundry and gas operated barbecues. Lighted tennis courts and heated pool. These amenities are all exceptionally well maintained. The grounds are immaculate and lush with many local varieties of flowers and plants. Kauai is truly the 'Garden Isle'.

Lae Nani is centrally located on the east shore just a 30 minute drive to the north shore, Princeville and Hanalei Bay. Poipu beach is 30 minutes to the south.

Hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing and Golfing areas are abundant. Waterskiing and wakeboarding are also available on nearby Wailua River.

About Stephen Childers

We have been coming to Kauai for the last 30 years, the same number of years we have been married. We are both native Californians, living in north San Diego county. As a surfer of 50 years, I have to admit that most of our trips were surf trips. There remains many places left on Kauai for us to discover.

We were looking a properties in Poipu and Princeville for some time as that is where most of our friends live. But upon seeing the listing photo of this property(the bay view from lanai) we immediately made an offer and purchased it. We have been on island many times and stayed at quite a few places, but we like Lae Nani the best. It's not just the spectacular views or the beautiful grounds but also the serenity of the location. The Heiau (ancient Hawaiian Ruins) on the point in front, the sound of the surf thoughout the day and night is just magical.

Also, everything you need is nearby.

Our Home in Paradise

My husband and I took our first vacation in years and chose the amazing island of Kauai. But even better, we lucked into this incredible VRBO listing. Lae Nani is so convenient to explore the entire island so location is outstanding, but this particular unit is very special. We loved the lanai with its gorgeous views, the privacy of being up high in an end unit, the lovely high end finishes in the entire condo, especially the kitchen. Now that we're home we miss our coffee, wine and meals on the lanai with the constant comforting sound of ocean waves. You can walk to the Coconut Marketplace and to a delicious Mexican restaurant and enjoy walks along the water. Steve the owner is so helpful. Quick to answer questions and always available to help make your stay the very best. We can hardly wait to go back again and know we want the same condo.

Excellent!

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days as part of our honeymoon (we did 3 islands) and out of the 5 places we stayed this was by far the best.

* Location/View: Lae Nani was a great condo complex - plenty of parking, well lit, impeccably maintained and well appointed grounds, I could go on and on. As you can see from the pictures, the view from the lanai is really special with both the ocean and the pool (and some palm trees) visible. The broader location is good too - within walking distance of Passion Bakery and Cafe (where we ate breakfast a couple of times), Hukilau Lanai (one of the best restaurants on the island), and a small shopping center. Lihu'e is easily drive-able in about 10-15 minutes (although the traffic is pretty bad in the daytime), as is downtown Kapa'a (same complaint about traffic applies).

* Interior: Everything is exactly as advertised. My wife and I just looked at each other and smiled when we walked in. Everything is super clean, well decorated, and functional.

* Sleeping Experience: The blinds do a good job blocking out the light. The mattress is really really comfortable and I slept like a baby. There was no noise pollution at all.

* TV and Internet: The internet was consistently fast, which is more than I can say about most places I stayed. The TV was good as well, and even offered Netflix viewing (although we were too busy exploring the island to take advantage of that)

Beautiful Condo in a Beautiful Resort

We just spent 11 Days in this beautiful condo and could not have asked for anything better. The pictures depict exactly what you are getting. The kitchen has everything that you need and all appliances are new. The king size bed is extremely comfortable. The view from the lanai is incredible and a great place to enjoy your coffee in the morning and a nice glass of wine in the evening. There is a great beach right beside this resort to watch the beautiful sunrises. Pool is great and doesn't ever seem to be too busy. The grounds are very nice and it appears to be very well maintained. This location is ideal for touring the island. We would not hesitate to return to this location and hope to in the future.

Location, Location!

Having stayed at this unit under the prior owner, we were very impressed with the thorough remodel of the unit by the new owners. Everything is updated with attention to details. There was everything you need for the beach - chairs, mats, boogie boards, snorkel gear, and coolers. The unit is shown accurately in the on-line photos. The location is perfect for exploring either the north shore or the south shore and is just minutes from the airport. Steve was very helpful in making the reservation and quickly answered our questions. We look forward to returning in the future.

Wonderful Condo and Property!

This was our first time renting through VRBO and we were so satisfied with this booking. The condo and property was just as depicted and the owner was very accommodating at answering our questions, assisting with booking the reservation, and even provided us with thorough directions and instructions before our arrival. This was also our first time visiting the island of Kauai, and we were happy to discover that the location of this property was perfect for our planned island activities and sightseeing plans. No matter where we went, we found that the condo wasn't too far away to return to, and it was always nice to return to a place that felt like a home away from home, instead of a hotel room. My entire family enjoyed the easy beach access directly behind the property, and my two daughters really enjoyed the pool. One added bonus was the barbeques that were next to the pool. We used them a few nights to cook our own meals, and enjoyed eating our dinner out on the lanai. Thanks again Stephen and Family for sharing your condo with us and making our first visit to Kauai such an enjoyable one! We hope to make it back to the island again soon. Mahalo!

A Perfect Vacation

The condo was wonderful! We especially appreciated the little touches such as the binoculars and ice chest with blue ice in the freezer. The artwork and furnishings were tasteful and created a peaceful place to relax. The upgrades and remodeling of the condo, including the artwork, are the best we have seen at the Lae Nani. The bar height table and chairs on the lanai made it possible to have an unobstructed view of the pool, Wailua Bay, and the beautiful grounds. We have one more day of our vacation and we will spend it at the Lae Nani on their chaises reading and watching the waves. Aloha and Mahalo!
