we highly recommend this spot. the cottage is unbelievably comfortable and cosy, johnshaven (even if our guide doesn't know anything) a good location to visit aberdeen, castles, houses, gardens, starting points for walks etc. the cottage is well equipped and provides spectacular views over the coast. it has a nice, well maintained garden and a very nice and helpful owner. it is a home away - even nicer than our real home.

Great location ,very good relaxing cottage

  • 4 out of 5
Property very much as expected in terms of accommodation. Beautiful location and good centre for surrounding attractions, eg St Cyrus beach and nature reserve and Dunnottar Castle. Local hotel great for seafood meals.Description of property missed the opportunity to highlight a very nice relaxing garden. Very pleased overall.Would certainly recommend to friends.

This property was fabulous!

  • 5 out of 5
We loved our stay at this Johnshaven cottage. It was everything that the listing described. It was well maintained, clean and charming. The owner met us at the cottage and explained how everything worked. The neighbours and village people were friendly and the view of the ocean was great. Walking around the village was peaceful. The location was central to going up and down the coast to the various ativities and attractions we were interested in. I would recommend this cottage to any friend or relative. The Dunnotar Castle and walk into Stonehaven was really magnificent.

A quaint cottage with a lovely view

  • 4 out of 5
Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed and the upstairs bedrooms had lovely views over the harbour as did the terrace where it was situated. Beautiful beaches not far away at St. Cyrus, Montrose and Lunan Bay. The people in this part of Scotland were so friendly and welcoming and the weather was just perfect but that was just the luck of the gods. Roger was there to welcome us and explain everything. We tended to eat at home but there was a very good restaurant in the local pub the Anchor.
