Having the benefit of a water softener and osmosis water filter for drinking and cooking.
Beach.: There is a good quality beach which is rated as four stars, with life guards in attendance, the beach is narrow and sandy with the sea being shallow especially in the pine walk area. Quite handy to nip into a beach side restaurant for a snack or lunch. For those who like water activities there are many water sports available starting with the traditional paddle boat, too jet ski, yacht and windsurfing, from the main marina you can yacht charter and cruises can be arranged. Kite surfing is another possibility, but this is a little further along the coast in the 'marina part of Alcudia' on the coast road between Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia. From the marina you can take the ferry to Formentor to enjoy the beach or just soak up the atmosphere.
Bird watching/walking: Two areas of interest, one the Boguer valley, ten minutes walk from the villa, great for just walking or bird watching, which from mid April to mid May has may migrants. The second are being the marsh's of Albfera possibly one of the best wet land sites in the Med.
Surrounding places: The old town of Pollensa is good to explore, especially on market day, lots of small cobble streets, a beautiful church with lots of quaint restaurants and bars. A visit to Formentor either by boat from the marina or by road to view the sunset is proving popular. A pleasant walk over the mountains or drive to the Cala San Vincente.
