Large Super king bedroom, en-suite bathroom and sofa bed 10 mins Central London

Luxury one bedroom apartment situated in a beautiful double fronted Victorian house, five houses away from the park. Perfectly situated, within easy walking distance to the tube and buses, providing direct travel to the centre of London in 12 minutes and to sites such as the West End, Buckingham Palace, London Eye and many more. There are numerous good restaurants, bars and cafes a short walk from the apartment.

The flat itself is located on a quiet leafy residential street, a few steps off street level with its own entrance. On entering there is a spacious open plan Sitting room/kitchen. A large sofa bed positioned in front of a flat screen TV with freeview, large mahogany folding table comfortably seating 4 guests and fully fitted and equipped kitchen, with induction hob, oven, fridge freezer and washer/drier . To the back of the flat there is a large bedroom with Super King bed, double wardrobe and dressing table with en-suite bath/shower room. Crisp white linens, fluffy white towels, luxury slippers and Branch d' Olive toiletries are all provided. Also a starter pack including tea, coffee, sugar, oils, herbs, toilet roll, soap, clothes and bin bags.

TRANSPORT

Being only 10 minutes walk for Balham station makes getting around London easy. Balham is a tube and mainline station, so whether you plan to visit inner London attractions or places like Kew Gardens, Wimbledon tennis and Hampton court on the outskirts of London, its easy.

The large Park at the end of the road has several public tennis courts, children's play ground and the larges fresh water outdoor pool in Europe, 90 meters long!

We are the family Robertson's, Amanda, Josh, Jess and Issy. We first started off with our Holiday let business when we saw our dream house in Devon 4 years ago. We didn't want to move from London, however wanted that weekend escape. To achieve that we brought our dream house and set it up as a luxury holiday let, when its not booked out we use it, unfortunately it has now become so popular that those weekends are getting fewer and fewer!

The success of Devon gave us the idea of trying it out in London.

Our one bedroom flat there had been rented out before on a long let, so in Spring of 2012 when our tenants left we decided to advertise it as a holiday let, we have not looked back!

The flat was very welcoming, warm and cosy, lovely comfy big bed and had everything we needed. The 5 star complimentary slippers and beautifully presented toiletries were a lovely touch.

The right choice!

This property exceeded our expectations. My husband and I visited London once before and paid a lot of money for a hotel that was extremely cramped. We stayed at Manville over the New Year and were very pleased with our choice after talking with other Americans who stayed in "luxury" hotels. Manville was spacious, beautifully decorated and very convenient to both the Tooting Bec and Balham tube stops. The owner left suggestions for restaurants and bars and we explored them all plus several more in the area. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the neighbors are friendly.
There were plenty of dishes, clean linens, robes, slippers and the toiletries were top notch. It was a little chilly when we visited and the owner supplied a Dyson heater. It heated the entire flat! That was a pleasant surprise.
You will be pleased with this location, this price and this owner. Amanda returned our deposit within one week. I even left an important item and she shipped it back to me quickly.

We would definitely suggest a visit the Lighthouse Fish and Chips near the Tooting Bec tube station. They are open late and food is great.
Balham seems to be more upscale than Tooting Bec. We walked through both neighborhoods, felt safe, but the shops and restaurants in Balham seemed to be more upper class.

Elegant, cosy, convenient.

An elegantly outfitted apartment that provided everything we needed for a 2 week stay. Comfortable bed and couch, great TV, books and magazines, fresh laundry and cleaning after first week, washer, very modern stove, and well outfitted kitchen with fridge. Very quiet.
We appreciated the fluffy slippers that were provided.
Steps from the park and a brief walk to shopping, restaurants and transit and easy access to central London.
The apartment is a basement, which means no views and limited daylight.
The owner is accessible and helpful.

Manville Road Flat

We needed a flat in South London for an extended visit with our new grandson. The Manville flat was everything we had hoped for and more. The kitchen was well equipped and Amanda stocked it with some basics before we arrived so we didn't have to run out and get things. It's convenient to the rail and the tube, although the tube is a bit more convenient to get to. The Balham high road has a number of interesting shops and restaurants for dining out. On departure, Amanda gave us a lift to the train.

Positives: Clean and neat, nice neighborhood, towels and bedding changed halfway through the stay, well equipped.

Negatives: Nothing significant. Lots of foxes in the neighborhood. Longish walk to train.

Just what we were looking for

My husband and me were looking for an apartment near London to stay 5 nights with our 5 years old daughter.We hadn´t heard of the area before but we liked the description and photos and decided to go for it. Didn´t get disappointed.The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, cosy and pefect for the three of us. Shops and cafes are very closeby and Balham subway and train station is only 10 minutes walking, and once there, it would take only 15 minutes to get to Waterloo station, right in the center of London.
We thank Amanda for her kindness and we highly recommend it.

Lovely, comfortable apartment

I stayed here during my time as a volunteer at the London 2012 Games. It was perfectly located for my commute to Wimbledon.
The apartment itself is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The owner was very kind to pick me up from the underground station.
A couple of points - I was only provided with one bath towel and one hand towel for a 10 day stay. Also, the owner was very concerned about the cream sofa bed in the lounge stipulating not to eat whilst sitting on it and to watch children in case something was spilt on the sofa. If it was that much of a concern, why have a cream sofa in a rental apartment?
I didn't dine out in the area but the coffee in the nearby bakery was very good.
Well located for the south of the city.

We wish it had been mentioned at the time as it would have been dealt with immediately. As for the mention in our details about children not eating and drinking on the sofa, it is purely a request. It is important to us to keep the standards high in the flat for future guests.

A lovely one bedroom flat, part of a Victorian double fronted house in a London Conservation area. Situated on a quiet leafy residential street a stones throw from the common and close to Balham tube and main line station.

Balham Station provides regular, quick and easy links to most of London's main line stations. Getting you into Victoria in 12 minutes, the 'West End' in 15 minutes and Wimbledon in 22 minutes. Trains averaging every 4 minutes to Clapham Junction, known as 'The Gateway to London' with its numerous rail links (Clapham junction is 2 stops on).

Balham is South of the river in the Borough of Wandsworth. An extremely popular area with families and commuters due to it's close proximity to numerous leafy commons, good transport links, wide choice of restaurants and shops.

Ritherdon road, the closes parade of amenities is very popular with the neighbourhood, with a lovely French Café, delicious bakery tea shop, specialist wine store, Beautician, art gallery and 'Quirky' antiques store.

The Common is just five houses away. Lovely for an afternoons stroll, run or picnic. There is often a game of cricket to be watched on a Summers weekend afternoon. If you enjoy swimming you have Tooting Lido on the common, the largest fresh water pool in England at just over 90M. There are also 6 public tennis courts.

Other major attractions include Wimbledon Tennis, Wimbledon greyhound Stadium, Richmond deer park and 2012 Olympics.
