When visiting somewhere for the first time the worry is always, "will it be like it was in the brochure?". In this case there was no doubt, in fact it was better than we envisaged. The block itself, the surrounding area and particularly the apartment was spotless and maintained to a high level. Everything was where were told it would be and in addition, the owner had provided body boards, footballs, tennis racquets, sun loungers etc to make our stay that much better.
We found the beach area excellent with shops and supermarkets witihin walking distance although I would advise less fit travellers to check the location of these apartments as they are situated at the top of a steep bank (all roads out of Cala rise steeply) and clearly this needs to be taken into account, otherwise it is a 8-10min walk.
There are numerous restaurants and bars, all freindly and offering a wide range of foods - we would particularly recommend:- BARS - "Ba" & "Yorko's"; RESTUARANTS - "Arenal" & "Bulgari".
A large shopping complex in a short bus ride away as are Terra Mitica (theme Park) and Aqualandia (Water Park). Benidorm is reachable by bus or train for those of you who want to let down your hair!
This is definitly a location to which we will return
