About this property

6 Bedroom House, Amazing Skiing, Fly-fishing, Outlet Shopping, Antiquing

This lovely 6 bedroom home which sleeps 10 people is a perfect place for a family vacation. The great room, connected to the kitchen and dining room is the favorite place for family activity while enjoying the fire and views of the mountains. The second living room provides a more tranquil place to relax in case you chose to be away from the hub-bub of the great room. The large Farm Table in the dining room is perfect for warm family dinners. The porch is fantastic summer, fall and winter. Sitting on the porch in the summer enjoying the view of the pasture, horses and mountains is equally wonderful as enjoying the views during the winter from the hottub. The playroom is a terrific place to let the kids watch a movie, if the adults want some quiet time in the great room. Walking/hiking trails are just steps from our front door. Skiing is 10 miles from our home.

Lovely Home & Professional Host
The house was lovely and well-appointed for our stay. One portion of the house is a beautifully maintained older home and the remainder is newer construction--built to match the look of the original historic home. The kitchen was well equipped and laid out to allow for cooking, serving, and cleaning large meals for our party of 12.

Bridal party VT home base surpassed wildest dreams!
My daughter and her bridal party were lucky enough to have this beautiful property as their home base for a Columbus Day wedding weekend. The setting was beyond belief, outdoor spaces to stretch out and a hot tub too. The home was warm and beautiful and the girls and their significant others had an amazing time. The wedding pictures taken here were stunning! Elizabeth was so wonderful to communicate with and her beautiful home became a key part of our wonderful wedding memories! We are so grateful for having found this magical home!

Excellent Stay for a Family Reunion
This is a special property that is located on a quiet and beautiful road right outside of Manchester. The night sky has incredible views of the stars because there is no light pollution. Stores and the town are about ten minutes away as well as Emerald Lake State Park. The porch, hot tub, and outdoor fireplace were highlights for our family, and we enjoyed beautiful weather so we spent a great deal of time outside. The house is large enough for folks to sleep in, and yet everyone else is up and about and enjoying the kitchen and living room. I would suggest that the owner creates a rental guide that for her guests, as we had to reach out to her in order to find out how to check-in, what needed to happen at check out and there were no details in the home about how to use or find appliances. The hot tub was not cleaned after the last guests. It would have also been helpful to know what was provided at the house before we came so we could be prepared. We had to buy paper towels and dish soap in order to effectively use the kitchen. I was glad to do it, but it would have been helpful just to know what we needed to provide. Elizabeth was very accomodating to our plans, allowing us to come as early as we wished on Friday and stay a bit later on Sunday, and this made a great deal of difference to our experience. It is obviously a family home with a very welcoming atmosphere, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wedding Weekend
We loved this house - but the pictures do not show that it is an old historic house with a beautiful addition. There are lots of rooms and nooks and crannies. The grounds are beautiful. The online information and pictures don’t provide a lot of details. There are five full bathrooms, all with showers as well as some with claw tubs. The upstairs in the addition is the master suite and beautiful. The queen suite, also beautiful, is on the first floor of the addition and has access to the deck. The huge deck is wonderful! The three bedrooms with twin beds are upstairs in the oldest part of the house, and is not connected to the upstairs of the addition, and the fifth bedroom is in an ell of the historic house, which online looks like two full beds but are not quite full size. Most beds were comfortable, and bathrooms were clean. Need to watch changes in elevation between rooms in the old part. There were no instructions provided in the house regarding if the many fireplaces worked or not, no WiFi or other electronic instructions, no instruction on the hot tub, had to search for the 12 cup coffee maker which was not clean, limited hand towels and wash cloths, freezer was not clean, and found some dirty dishes in the cupboard. Despite these drawbacks, this place has lots of character and we really enjoyed our stay.
