Steve and I purchased this property as newlyweds in 2006 and have spent the last seven years remodeling the home room by room. I have a degree in interior design and Steve enjoys house projects so we make a great team. We are both natives of the Western Colorado area and have three small children.
Amy Lentz purchased this house in 2006
Our property is extremely family friendly. We have a collection of games, books and toys for kids. With two baby gates, a high chair and crib all provided you won't have to pack all the baby gear with you - we provide it all!
The house was perfect for families with small kids. It was set up great for them. The upstairs is a bit tight. The room with the full bed hadn't room to spare and the upstairs bath is just enough. Kids loved it! The kitchen was great as well as the main living space and outdoor area. Great access to GJ.
My husband and I were very comfortable throughout our stay. We had everything we needed to feel at home. The convenience of walking into town and as a starting point for hikes made our stay easy. We had friends visit while we were there and they were all impressed by how comfortable the home was. It was great cooking in the well stocked kitchen! We'll definitely be back.
My husband and son and I had the very best time in this home. Absolutely everything we could possibly want (and more) came with the house. We would not have needed to bring a book or a toy for our 5 year old son as all if that came with the home. Rarely d I feel as at home as we all did at the rental. Thanks you so much and we will be sure to come black to Grand Junction and stay in your beautiful home! Thanks so much Amy!
We had a wonderful family Christmas in this home. We had three generations there and we all loved this home. The kitchen had anything and everything you could want. All the rooms were charming and comfortable. This trip will be remembered by our family for many many years!!!
We loved our stay at the house on Gunnison! It was perfect in every way: 1). Proximity to town, 2). Comfortable for our small children, 3). Well stocked, 4). Beautifully decorated, and 5). Owners were super helpful. We'd love to stay there again in the spring!
We had the best week at Gunnison! The home has been renovated with style and all possible home comforts were available - pantry, domestic products, toiletries, video entertainment, tourist information, children's toys. Even the garden provided the best sun warmed tomatoes, basil and grapes! The photos are an accurate representation of the property - furnishing are of a high quality, but not too 'precious' to stifle enjoyment. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The master bedroom's bed is the most comfortable ever!
Proximity to Main Street shopping (Australians take note that Bagels does real coffee and bread!) made living easy. While the stairs and second storey were a little steep and may not suit the elderly, unfit or tall, the ground floor amenity was excellent. Our hosts were welcoming and respectful of our privacy, but were available if needed. We recommend this property and will be back!
Our property is located in Downtown Grand Junction just blocks from Main Street where you will find many shops and restaurants. We are also within walking distance to Lincoln Park for JUCO games, golf, graduation ceremonies etc. The Colorado National Monument is just minutes away with many hiking and biking trails. The Grand Mesa is about a 30 minute drive from our house where Powderhorn Ski Resort is located. The popular Tabeguache Trail System (Lunch Loop) is five minutes away by car (three miles from the house).
