Lesley and Georgina jointly own the property. We met when our daughters were at primary school and have been friends ever since. We purchased this between us as we had always wanted to have a joint project, and the building is so lovely we felt lots of people would want to come and stay here. So far we've been proved right, and the cottage has been very busy since we started letting it as a holiday home.
We live near each other, about half an hour from the cottage, so if any problems arise one of us will be able to get there fairly quickly. We love to meet our guests, or at least speak to them on the telephone. It's really great being in contact with people from all over the world who come to stay in our little castle.
Lesley purchased this cottage in 2010
Why Lesley chose Stroud
It's quirky, it's a little castle, it's in a wonderful location. The Cotswolds are great and we often explore them. There's a different view at every corner and it's wonderful watching the seasons change throughout the year. Stroud is great all year round - there's so much going on there, and we were so pleased this place came on the market.
What makes this cottage unique
It's a little castle, it's pretty, it's different. Whether you're sunbathing on the patio on a summer afternoon or cosying up in front of the fire on a winter's night, it's a fantastic place to be.
