Greetings! I'm the mother of two girls, both homeschool graduates. The Creation Museum has played a big part in our lives over the years and our oldest daughter even got married there in 2013! We enjoy hosting families as they come together from different parts of the country to visit the museum and spend time together. I look forward to helping you make your stay in Petersburg a cherished memory for your own family!

This spacious and historic home is the perfect resting spot for your family's visit to the Creation Museum.
My husband stumbled across this lovely vacation rental while planning for a youth group ski trip to Perfect North Slopes. We had 15 in our group and this house suited us perfectly. We could not believe how gorgeous it was inside and out, and in such a cute, sleepy little town. It is located just 5 minutes or so from the Creation Museum and about 15 minutes from Perfect North Slopes. There's a tiny little gas station in town, a block or so from the house, that had yummy, made-to-order breakfast and good coffee. (But they are not open on Sundays.) The house was fully furnished, and very warm and comfortable - we definitely felt "at home" here. The heating system was great and kept us plenty warm during a very cold, wind chill advisory weekend. The rooms were surprisingly quiet, which was nice for my family as we had our 3 year old and 10 month old with us, and 6 loud teenagers! The beds were incredibly comfortable. We had no trouble finding anything we needed in the house. There was a closet of games, kids' activities and movies to watch. Two televisions with dvd/vhs players. Tons of outlets in all the rooms. Check out requirements were super easy and did not involve a thorough cleaning like some vacation rentals. Everything has been remodeled and the kitchen and bathrooms are up to date. It is just a beautiful, spacious house! The manager was extremely helpful and friendly anytime we spoke with her. In fact, our van broke down the day we were leaving and had to leave it at the house while we traveled back home and the manager was happy to work with us on that situation. We will definitely be revisiting this vacation rental in the future - all of our small children asked if we could stay there forever.
We went to this property a couple weeks ago as a church retreat. The house was BEAUTIFUL and everything you could want. We were thrilled about the house and enjoyed how much space there was! The river is only a block away which was fun to go check out. There was also a nearby field where we played flag football. Other than that, there isn't a ton to do which we didn't mind at all = staying at the house was cool enough! I would recommend this place for families or a group of friends.
Our family enjoyed our time at the A.B. Parker House. Every thing is as advertised. If we needed anything, they were Johnny-on-the-spot. We would use it again if we came back to the area.
We were a large group of friends in town for a wedding in nearby Lawrenceburg, and the A.B. Parker house was the perfect solution for where to put all of us! The house is beautiful and so well cared for, and we enjoyed the openness of the space and the kindness of the manager so very much. It is a great place for a large group to stay.
This house is well set up to host our family group of 11. We had 6 adults and 5 children. The home was wonderfully close to the Creation Museum and was able to accommodate parking for the large RV we were traveling in.
We spent 2 nights and 3 days this house for church winter retreat. The house is a bit old than I expected, but was okay. Most inconvenient matter was that there is only one bath. We had to manage to use bath room... though I don't think that this was not a big problem, we could manage this problem. However, the worst thing for this house was that many of us were bitten by bed bugs, fleas, or spiders. When we arrived the house, we found blonde hair in beds... (we are all Koreans, which means all asians who have all black hair)... so we assumed that beds should not be cleaned after former visitors left. I was bitten more than thirty bites during our stay there. Those were not only horrible looking, but also those were extremely itching. I sent a e-mail of complaint to the owner, but did not receive any response. Except bugs problem, I would rate this house as good, though the house is bit old and has only one bath. But, since I experienced horrible bugs problem there, I rated this house as poor. If you plan to visit here, make it sure that the owner cleaned the house, especially beds and bed stuffs.
