We have many self catering holiday rental villas on the Costa Blanca, Spain Over 200 kilometres of coastline packed with soft sand beaches washed by calm waters, 300 days average of sunshine per year, a privileged climate and a warm sea have been the main attractions for millions of visitors for decades from all over the world. The WHO has certified the Costa Blanca to have one of the healthiest climate of the world. Above all in the northern part of Alicante (Javea, Moraira, Benissa, Calpe, Altea) the Costa Blanca shows itself like a “green landscape”. The almonds flowers beginning of February are unique, but also the large size agriculture fields of oranges, lemons and mandarins are impressing visitors.
The Costa Blanca received its name “White Coast”
from the white houses and the white beaches in the sunlight being a wonderful contrast to the blue sea. A real landmark is the “Peñon d´Ifach” in Calpe (observe upper banner), which is a huge rock in the sea being registered as a nature reserve.
Over time, the development of modern tourist infrastructure and communications routes has made it easier to reach the Costa Blanca. This area can be reached in approximately 1 hour from both airports, Alicante and Valencia.
The landscape is not just defined by the sea, but also by the mountains that overlook it. Alicante is the second most mountainous province in Spain and it is here that we see the grandeur of the Mediterranean landscape. From valleys that are home to crops grown on terraces originally created by the Moors to a horizon packed with oaks, pines and carob trees perfumed by a wide variety of aromatic plants.
Those who love mountains and hiking are sure to enjoy the well-signed paths that run through our inland districts.
Whether on the coast or inland, you’ll be able to discover our rich local dishes and the quality wines from our vineyards.
