If you are seeking a charming home with character in a quiet location with wonderful views yet close to a beautiful village and all the sites and sounds of the Riviera, then Jasmin Villa could be the perfect choice for you!

About the location: Our much-loved holiday home is situated in an exclusive, gated, hilltop domaine of private one bedroom and two bedroom residences. It was formerly a hotel and in it's hey day competed with the Columbe D'Or! It is located in a prime but quiet semi-rural position on the Cote D’Azur between Nice & Antibes yet only 10 minutes drive from the airport and just 15-20 minutes walk to the stunning medieval village of St Paul de Vence. Domaine du Piol has a lot of history and character and enjoys an elevated position surrounded by woodland with views over the valley below. There is a large, shared pool which gets the sun all day. It is just around the corner from the villa but out of sight. The location of the villa is private, quiet and secure. There is only one other villa adjoining it and a small apartment out of sight, beside the pool.

About the property (outside) : Jasmin villa has a small private garden of jasmin (French spelling), lemon trees and flowers. A private balcony and upper terrace offer unsurpassed views up to the village of St Paul and the mountains behind. There is plenty of outside space ideal for enjoying a meal, sunbathing or relaxing in the shade. Both the terrace and garden are paved and have wrought iron tables and chairs. The location of the villa is private and quiet. There is only one other villa adjoining it and a small apartment out of sight, beside the pool.

About the property (inside): Jasmin villa has been lovingly re-furbished in a Provençal/'shabby chic' style with unique and charming pieces all sourced locally from brocantes and antique shops. There is a spacious living/dining room with a large sofa, 2 chairs and a dining table with 4 chairs. For your entertainment there is a flat screen TV (television is currently only available through Apple TV or the internet using the 'Film On' app so you need a laptop/ipad or smart phone to access television). There is a DVD player, a selection of DVD's and books. Wifi is provided. French doors lead out onto the garden beyond. A small separate kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer (with water cooler), dishwasher, oven and ceramic hob and microwave. We know many of our guests enjoy cooking so we provide a wide range of pots, pans, dishes and cooking utensils. We keep a supply of tea, coffee, condiments, aluminium foil, cling film and paper towels for guest convenience. There is a small casual eating area. There is also a downstairs WC with wash-hand basin and a washing machine and a hallway with a writing desk. An iron, ironing board, clothes horse, vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials are provided. The staircase (fitted with a handrail) leads upstairs to two double bedrooms, one with a balcony and the other with a large terrace with views up to St Paul. One bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobe with built in shelves, the other two twin single beds and a large authentic French armoire. There are mirrors in both rooms. Additional pillows and blankets are available if required. We provide free-standing fans for the heat in summer and wall fitted electric heaters for the winter. There is a fully-tiled bathroom with bath and shower head, a separate walk-in shower and an electric towel rail. A hairdryer is provided.

We want you to thoroughly enjoy your stay so we have tried to think of everything so you will be as comfortable as possible. If there is anything we can organise in advance of your stay it would be our pleasure to do that for you. Our concierge can also organise 'meet and greet', shopping, taxi services. cleaning/laundry changes and baby sitting if required. Jasmin Villa is owned by my husband and I. We have 2 children aged 4 and 7 years. My husband is an artist and I am self-employed. I manage this villa and our other rental properties in Ireland. I also work freelance as a management consultant within the voluntary sector. We live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. My husband and I fell in love with this property when we first rented it in 2005 and were thrilled when it came up for sale several years later. The views up to the beautiful village of St Paul de Vence are breath-taking and there's nothing we enjoy more than sitting on the terrace or in the garden savouring the views of the village and mountains and enjoying its very beautiful and peaceful green surroundings. The villa is located in a historic domaine which feels rather like a little hamlet. It has a lot of character and charm. We are fortunate on the domaine to have a large, beautiful pool with lovely views right down the hillside to the sea. The domaine enjoys a fantastic elevated position and is surrounded by woodland. Despite its semi-rural location all the delights of the Riviera are only a short drive away.

What makes this house unique

Without doubt the views of St Paul de Vence are very special and we guarantee will capture your heart! The villa is situated in a very peaceful and private location surrounded by woodland. The large communal swimming pool is right around the corner - just a short stroll from the villa. We have taken great pride in renovating the villa in a delightful provencal style with lovely pieces sourced from the local brocantes and antique markets. We take pride in presenting our villa to a high standard and we hope we have thought of everything to ensure that our guests stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We have many returning guests - which is a good sign that we must be doing something right!

charming place to spend quiet holidays

We have spent two very restful weeks at Jasmin Villa. Janet Hamilton does a exemplary job from A to Z from the first contact through the aftercare.
The place is very well looked after, outstanding taste in interior and you instantly feel at home and safe at the Domaine. Everything is close-by, local markets, sights, sea and shopping (by car). We found our favourite Boulangerie/Pâtisserie - best baguette - along the main road, Av. des Alpes (black entrance surface) next to a superbe grocery shop. Jasmin Villa is definately a place to returtn to! Thank you!

What a wonderful experience from start to finish, The homeowner, Janet Hamilton, could not have been more available or more pleasant, from the booking, wiring of funds, prompt replies to e-mails with questions, etc. The pre-packet of tips for arrival and information for during the stay was beyond comprehensive, and most helpful. The welcome goodies were a lovely surprise, as was the size of the villa and its two terraces. The décor was tasteful and warm, there were thoughtful touches throughout (paper products, spices, teas/coffees,candles, table linens, books, etc.) that really added to the home away from home feeling. It was spotless, had great appliances and was beautifully landscaped. And what can one say about that view? INCOMPARABLE! How lucky for those of us travelers with whom the Hamiltons share their lovely oasis. We were hard at work combing the area for a place in which to retire, and this location was very central to everything...airport, hill towns, beaches, and the AutoRoute. PLUS,,,we accomplished our mission, finding a villa in Valbonne! Can't wait to return in Jan. to live, and will recommend Villa Jasmin to our overflow guests! Thank you, Hamiltons!

Tranquil Surroundings

We had a wonderful stay at Jasmin Villa. It is just like in the photos and very tranquil! We found it to be perfectly located on the French Riviera - close to all the major cities and sites, grocery stores and bakery, and just within reach of the most beautiful small hillside town of Saint Paul de Vence.

Jasmine Villa - A touch of Heaven

We arrived at Jasmine Villa around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. The surroundings were stunning and on opening the car door it was obvious why the Villa was named Jasmine as the aroma of Jasmine, which has grown up and surrounds the porch and patio area was absolutely glorious. The décor internally was wonderful and we felt at home immediately and spent as much time relaxing on the lovely patio enjoying the beautiful views as we did travelling around. The Villa is very convenient to the airport, supermarket and within easy driving distance to Nice, Antibes, Cannes and the gorgeous village of St Paul de Vence which we absolutely loved. Janet provided a wonderful information pack which made travel and the stay simple and so enjoyable. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit, relax and enjoy this wonderful Villa and the surrounding beauty and convenient attractions – we’re so glad we didn’t. Thanks Janet we loved it and hope to go again SOON.

Location: Jasmin Villa enjoys a semi-rural location with stunning mountain and village views. It is ideally situated as a base for visiting the French Riviera and exploring the seaside resorts of Nice, Antibes, Cannes and St. Tropez as well as the historic mountain villages nearby. The most famous, St. Paul de Vence is within easy walking distance (15-20 mins approximately). This medieval village with its ramparts and cobbled streets, described as the most beautiful village in France, was once the home of many famous artists such as Chagal, Renoir & Mastisse and its association with art is still seen today with its magnificent art shops and galleries. The world class museum Fondation Maeght and renowned restaurant Le Colombe D'Or are both within walking distance. Monte Carlo is half an hour's drive, with the Italian border and Southern Alps both just 40 minutes away. The renowned ski resort of Isola 2000 is an hour's drive. The popular seaside resort of St Tropez can be reached in 1.5 hours (longer in summer).

Other Activities: Excellent Golf courses near Cannes/Mougins within 30 minutes drive, bike hire and cycling on the promenade at Nice, (20 minutes away) tennis courts and kayaking close by at La Colle Sur Loup (10 minutes drive), wine tours (just over an hour away).

Jasmin Villa is stylishly furnished. Two upstairs bedrooms with coronets provide romantic ambiance. Each bedroom has access to either terrace or balcony with wrought iron tables and chairs and with magnificent views over St Paul and the mountains. The bathroom with bath and a large walk-in shower is fully tiled. There is a further WC downstairs. The spacious living room has flat screen TV and a DVD player. Bring your laptop, ipad or smart phone to access Apple TV through your iTunes account. A separate, Provençal-style kitchen with all modern appliances is well equipped for cooking. The French double doors from the living room open onto a paved and private garden with lemon and orange trees, table and chairs, parasol and sun beds where you can dine and spend many enjoyable and restful hours. Outside the villa, there is private parking space for 2 cars. The large shared swimming pool close by has sun-loungers and parasols.
