We want to invite you to enjoy a stay in our renovated beach themed condo! We went to great lengths to find really nice, comfortable furniture and amenities that will make your stay comfortable, things we ourselves like and enjoy! The kitchen was just updated with new backsplash, and brand new appliances!
Our condo is conveniently located on the ground floor of our condo complex, Plantation Hale, K5. The parking lot is close by for easy access so no long trips up the stairs with luggage or groceries! Right next door is the brand new Longs Drugs Store, no more construction, just convenience for all your needs. The last time we were there for a few days, we never even went to the grocery store, just Longs!
The trail to the beach and the Ke Ala Hele Makalae multi use trail are also very close by!
We have one bedroom equipped with a comfy king sized bed along with a nice queen sofa bed sleeper in the living room in case there are more than two of you in your travel plans.
Stretching the length of the bedroom and living room is a quiet lanai where you can enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the birds! There is also a lovely slice of ocean straight out from the lanai!
Our Hawaii state tax ID # is W76866584. We have a wonderful "on island" contact, and her number is posted in the condo "just in case" there is a need while you are there!

Jeff and Danise have five kids, two daughters in law and three adorable grandsons. Jeff is a general contractor along with being an accomplished chain saw artist! Danise teaches at the local Junior College in the registered nursing program. Their three girls still live at home attending junior high and high school.
We feel very blessed to have this condo in Kauai. Five years ago, we would not have thought it possible, but God is very good! Our picture here is from our recent trip to Kenya where we spent a month helping at Maisha Mapya Preschool. It is a wonderful preschool which gives education to children who live in the Gioto dump in Nakuru, Kenya. Our condo here, is one thing that helps us support the school and the teachers and staff who work there. We love Kauai and we love Kapaa for its central location. Last year we acquired our first condo in this complex, we loved it so much that we thought we needed to find another one! Our large family requires a little more room, and this was a way to take care of the issue! Now we can spread out!
Our condo complex has three lovely swimming pools, three barbecue areas and two great hot tubs! We are close to everything you might need in Kapaa! If you are traveling with more than four, feel free to inquire about renting both our condos so you can have some privacy and more room too!
This rental was a perfect home base for our quick trip to Kauai! Loved the Wailua River Kayak trip, the hike from Ke'e beach on the North shore, cruising the Kapaa bike trail on bikes and watching monk seals on Poipu beach, but our favorite was salt pond beach in Port Allen, where Erick PROPOSED at sunset! (I said yes!)... Spicy poke from Foodland is amazing, and definitely go try the fish and pork tacos from the Al Pastor tacos Food truck near Kealia beach - yum! Finally, Trees lounge (behind Coconut Marketplace) was a great place to end the day, with a Happy Hour Martini Menu, Pupus and live music every day!
As everyone else has said - location central, comfortable unit, nicely updated but not overly fancy. We enjoyed our stay here as there were places to walk to, easy drive to all parts of the island, amenities on site and even nicer amenities nearby in walking distance at other resorts and Coconut Marketplace (such as restaurants and live music). It was very comfortable for the two of us, imagine could accommodate a child or two, but 2 more adults would be tight. Only things we wished for was better WiFi (though logging on early in the morning easier than any other time in the day) and more towels (we stayed 10 days and didn't do laundry, though we could have with onsite coin laundry). We contacted the owners during our stay and they were very responsive.
I could imagine staying here without a car if you just wanted to relax and enjoy things nearby. Lydgate Park nearby has lovely swimming beach but it would be quite a walk. I believe the bike path might go there now, though? Very good accommodations for the price!
Centrally located, this condo gives you the opportunity to drive north or south on any given day for activities without burning an entire tank of gas. It's within walking distance of a market place with lots of fun shops and a couple nice restaurants. Just a couple minutes down the main road there's several grocery stores, more restaurants and shops, and a few outdoor adventure/tour shops.
The condo itself is clean, well-furnished, and the perfect size for a couple or a small family of 3 or 4. It was nice having a kitchen for cooking our own meals, and a nice table to sit and have coffee in the morning. The bathroom wasn't anything special, but clean and completely sufficient for our needs. There was a snorkel and face mask and a couple travel chairs that we used for the beach, which was really convenient. And above the stove look for seasonings and other cooking essentials that you won't need to buy at the store!
If you like long walks on the beach, this condo is for you! You can walk across the street and down a path straight to the beach where you can walk in either direction for quite a while. The only set back is that it's not exactly the best beach for swimming because the surf is quite rough. But, it's perfect for laying out and reading a book in complete relaxation! There are countless beaches within short driving distances that are great for swimming and snorkeling.
The check-in process couldn't have been easier, and the free wi-fi was a great bonus. We loved staying here and will definitely try to book again in the future!
Our family of four loved this condo! (Kids ages 10 & 7). It was well equipped with everything we needed for the beach and was centrally located so we were within walking distance to several stores. We've been traveling to kauai every year for about 10 years and this is the first time we've stayed at the plantation hale, and we will definitely be staying there again (hopefully in this unit!). The sleeper sofa in the living room was perfect for the kids, and the bed was very comfortable for us adults. We used the kitchen quite a bit and it was well stocked with every utensil we needed to make meals. The laundry room right next door was very convenient. Next time we'll pack half as many clothes! The ground level was nice for the kids to walk out and play on the grassy area, and it was well protected from the parking lot. Longs drug store is right next door, and it has a redbox which we used a few times since the condo has two DVD players. The owners made themselves available for anything we needed.

Wonderful condo, location, price, ect. Although I did not use the kitchen very often, it had absolutely everything I would need to make anything (even a crock pot and toaster!). I appreciated the use of the playpen and highchair for my little one. The owners were most helpful in answering my questions before my stay.
The location was perfect to be able to travel up the beach either way. Costco in lihue was handy for a cheap lunch or to buy frozen meals for a cheap fast dinner. The farmers market right across the street twice a week was handy for keeping us in supply of apple bananas and avocado. Eggberts, also up the road was a favorite for pancakes with coconut syrup. The drug store is right next store and very handy, even has some groceries.
The wi fi won't work the first few days so we went to Java Kai downtown and used the computer there (maui mocha is delicious!). They did get the internet fixed at the condo but it was very weak, so you may want to plan on visiting a coffeeshop if you need good wi fi.
Overall a wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend. I also liked the location, close to everything!
Kapaa is located on the east side of Kauai midway between the north side with Princeville and Hanalei and the south and east side with Poipu and Waimea. It makes it super easy to get anywhere you want on the island! Our condo is located close to shops, restaurants, beaches and the multi use trail for running, walking, rollerblading or biking.
