1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Ocean Facing Condo Only 300 Feet From The Beach! (Sleeps 4)

We want to invite you to enjoy a stay in our renovated beach themed condo! We went to great lengths to find really nice, comfortable furniture and amenities that will make your stay comfortable, things we ourselves like and enjoy!

Our condo is conveniently located on the ground floor of our condo complex, Plantation Hale, K5. The parking lot is close by for easy access so no long trips up the stairs with luggage or groceries! The trail to the beach and the Ke Ala Hele Makalae multi use trail are also very close by!

We have one bedroom equipped with a comfy king sized bed along with a nice queen sofa bed sleeper in the living room in case there are more than two of you in your travel plans.

Stretching the length of the bedroom and living room is a quiet lanai where you can enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the birds! There is also a lovely slice of ocean straight out from the lanai!

About Jeff and Danise Rapetti

Jeff and Danise have five kids, two daughters in law and two adorable grandsons. Jeff is a general contractor along with being an accomplished chain saw artist! Danise teaches at the local Junior College in the registered nursing program. Their three girls still live at home attending junior high and high school.

We love Kauai and we love Kapaa for its central location. Last year we acquired our first condo in this complex, we loved it so much that we thought we needed to find another one! Our large family requires a little more room, and this was a way to take care of the issue! Now we can spread out!

What makes this condo unique

Our condo complex has three lovely swimming pools, three barbecue areas and two great hot tubs! We are close to everything you might need in Kapaa! If you are traveling with more than four, feel free to inquire about renting both our condos so you can have some privacy and more room too!

This rental was a perfect home base for our quick trip to Kauai! Loved the Wailua River Kayak trip, the hike from Ke'e beach on the North shore, cruising the Kapaa bike trail on bikes and watching monk seals on Poipu beach, but our favorite was salt pond beach in Port Allen, where Erick PROPOSED at sunset! (I said yes!)... Spicy poke from Foodland is amazing, and definitely go try the fish and pork tacos from the Al Pastor tacos Food truck near Kealia beach - yum! Finally, Trees lounge (behind Coconut Marketplace) was a great place to end the day, with a Happy Hour Martini Menu, Pupus and live music every day!

Beautifully Remodled...Great Location

Our trip was Sept 1 - 15, 2014. This was our 7th trip to Kauai, our 5th stay at Plantation Hale. I have to say that this unit was the most beautifully updated unit we have stayed in at Plantation Hale (PH). The floors are gorgeous & the furnishings were very unique, such a nice change from the plastic upholstered, rattan furniture normally found at PH. The kitchen has a full sized stove/oven rather than the usual apartment size. It was very well stocked with just about anything you would need, including some great spices. There was a brand new 12 cup coffee maker. The bathroom had also been updated with plenty of storage space. There was a nice walk-in shower. The bedroom has a king sized bed with a beautiful dresser & a huge closet. One nice thing about the units at PH is there is air conditioning. It is a window type unit located in the bedroom with a vent going into the living room. There are 2 sliding glass doors going out to the large lanai, which faces the ocean in addition to beautiful, well kept landscaping. There were 2 coolers for our use, as well as 2 beach chairs and noodles for either the pool or the ocean.

These drawbacks were out of the owners control; first, the construction work going on next door; it is a Long's Drug Store being built. While we were there, they would start working at 7am and work past 5pm, including Saturdays. It looks as if they are getting close to being completed & will be very nice when completed. The second is the Wi-Fi, it is basically non-existent. I had to be logging into work and was not able to. When I was able to log on, the signal was not strong enough to fully load pages. I talked with the owners about this, who assured me they are going to resolve the issue for future guests.

The location of Plantation Hale is perfect! Right smack in the middle of the island, so it is convenient to get whichever side of the island you are heading to each day. In addition to that, there are 2 major grocery stores right down the street with a nice selection of restaurants.

We would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone.

Nice home base while visiting Kauai

We greatly enjoyed this ground floor unit during our first visit to Kauai. The condo was updated, clean, had a well equipped kitchen, and comfortable living area & bedroom. The location is great to access nearby grocery stores, a natural food store, many restaurants, as well as all the sites on the island. We liked having the option of three swimming pools and two hot tubs- lending itself to more privacy while enjoying the amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful and the grounds are lovely. It was nice having the laundry facilities available.
Not by the fault of owners, the construction next door to our building (K) was a bit loud at times, but we were out and about a lot so it wasn't too much of annoyance. Future tenants may want to inquire about the status of the construction, if that is something that would affect their stay. There were also a couple of dumpsters in the parking lot seen from the lanai, and because some of the units in this complex were being renovated during our stay, there were often times, mattress and pieces of furniture overflowing from the dumpsters. They did eventually get emptied.
The Coconut Market Place was handy to have across the street, for shopping and quicky general supplies, also serving as the location of a Farmer's Market! We had easy access to the beach across the grassy field in front of the condo. Overall we had a very nice experience while staying in this unit.

Perfection!

The listing was accurately described. Nicely decorated, full kitchen, comfortable bed and centrally located. Grocery stores, coffee shop, restaurants, and beach within walking distance. The only thing that could be seen as a negative: The wi-fi connection was weak at best... but do you really need to be checking email from Hawaii? I would stay here again and highly recommend this listing.

Retired couple renting unit for vacation/friends wedding on Kauai.

Very nice unit. Owners helpful with questions and directions to the unit. On the beach side of the main road. Just a couple hundred yards across a field to the beach. Centrally located. Foodland and Safeway within walking distance. Suggest biking/walking the 4 mile Gold Coast paved path starting in Kaapa.

Great Holiday!

The condo was everything we expected it would be--clean, well equipped, and located in a position that allowed us to explore the island easily. We did have some difficulty finding the condo as you need to be looking for the "Plantation Hale" sign not the street name (because it isn't on any signage). When we arrived, there was no record of our booking which gave me a scare (thinking: SCAM) but fortunately, the staff were able to get a hold of Danise and straighten things out. From then on, it was a magical vacation!

Kapaa is located on the east side of Kauai midway between the north side with Princeville and Hanalei and the south and east side with Poipu and Waimea. It makes it super easy to get anywhere you want on the island! Our condo is located close to shops, restaurants, beaches and the multi use trail for running, walking, rollerblading or biking.
