Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday cabin in Nancy - Dillon's Den

Open Plan Living With 1 Bedroom / 1 Bath Cabin (sleeps 4)

This fantastic cabin is located on Faubush Creek on Lake Cumberland just across the lake from Conley Bottom Marina in the Clearwater Subdivision. It has recently undergone a total restoration and features an open plan living space with one bedroom, pull out sofa bed and a very large open air deck around ¾ of the house. We’re in a very peaceful neighborhood and only a 25 minute drive to Somerset with all city amenities.

Our home features one bedroom (full size bed) and a sofa sleeper (also full size), one large full bathroom with bathtub/shower.

This house is situated in a secluded beautiful wooded surrounding with lake views year round.

Our home is within walking distance of the boat ramp (but there’s also parking available at the boat ramp) and has a large turnaround driveway (and private road) available for boat/jet ski and multiple car parking. It is very easy to park your boat in our driveway or on the private road and move it back and forth to the boat ramp or give us a call to see if a boat slip is available.

Rent a boat from the marina across the lake (Conley Bottom) and for a small fee and enough notice they will pick you up at the boat ramp which is within walking distance to the cabin!

About Toni Dillon

Purchasing this cabin was a family affair! We are two brothers (from England), Jon and Mark and wives, Toni and Lee, and we have been vacationing at Lake Cumberland for years (one of us since childhood) and it's just one of those places you feel like you want to put in roots and stay forever. Jon and Toni already own another cabin in the same neighborhood and when this property became available it was agreed that this was the perfect opportunity for the four of us to purchase it together.

Toni Dillon purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Toni Dillon chose Nancy

The property sits in a secluded spot surrounded by the most gorgeous trees. The deck surrounding the house is huge and probably has more square footage than the house itself! It's the perfect place to come back to after a day on the lake and it takes just seconds to unwind and relax.

What makes this cabin unique

It's a secluded spot so you have all the privacy in the world and although it's a one bedroom cabin the open plan living space makes it feel quite spacious and comfortable.

Cute at 1st then Down hill from there..... Very scary location.

No tools for the bbq except hotdog roasting stick. There was a huge chunk of cheese on the deck below the BBQ and there is spilled candle wax on the table and deck. I was finding dryer lint piles in strange places outside and inside the laundry room shed. The Water heater wiring is exposed and not to code. No blinds in main room. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. One double bed that is squeaky and horrible queen sofa sleeper that is so broken down. No remote for TV or TV service of any kind. OMG Loud fridge and ac. Dust bunnies everywhere. Rat poison under the bed and under bathroom sink. Remote control for fireplace didn't work. Deck railing was loose and had rotted/insect eaten holes. Oven was dirty with food from previous occupant into the drawer below. Soft spots in floor and sagging ceiling above TV. Strange people on a quad drove down the road and its a dead end seeing if anyone was in the cabin. The cleaners are taking advantage of not doing their job! With the dust, no blinds, food in stove and on deck no wonder there is mouse/rat poison. They really need to get new cleaners and maintenance people. We live in the woods in our own home but this place was way to scary without blinds. I do have pictures.

so very clean

Very nice, very secluded. Not suitable for bringing a boat - unless you negotiate a slip at the public dock.

Great cabin and location!

  • 5 of 5

We will definitely stay here again! We love the large deck and the peacefulness. The cabin was very nice and loved the decorations. Really close to the boat ramp where we rented a pontoon from across the lake and they came to pick us up so we didnt have to drive.

Weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. This is one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Everything is a described and pictured. The boat ramp is close, however, we were unable to use it due to so much debris on it. We chose to drive to Cumberland point and Lee's Ford marina one day. We ate at the restaurant at Lee's Ford and it was very good. Only suggestions I have is for blinds in the living room and the bed in the bedroom is horrible. However, this would not stop me from renting again.

Nicest cabin we have ever stayed in

  • 5 of 5

We were pleasantly surprised on how nice this cabin was, furnishings were very nice, updated, comfortable, has closets and some storage for items you bring, big huge beautiful deck with gas grill which was nice as didn't take so long to wait for charcoal to get done. All the appliances were newer and clean and worked perfectly, the bathroom was very clean and updated as well as the whole cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you needed for cooking. Being on the lake and having a washer and dryer on site was a big plus. The area this cabin sits on was a great spot on the lake, kind of more in the middle and right across the way from Conley Bottom Marina and a quick drive to Lees Ford Marina. The dock area is secure and nice, the launch is kind of steep however we did not end up having any problems and my guess when water is up next year may not be as steep. The people in the neighborhood were very nice and friendly and seemed to look out for each other, however they are far enough away from you that you don't notice them. We would definate4ly stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was just right in size, very comfortable, clean, private and the deck was awesome. You'll not find a better place and we plan to go back this fall. Wonderful experience.

Welcome to beautiful Lake Cumberland, Kentucky - the vacation destination for millions of boaters, fishermen, and lake-lovers each year. We can introduce you to all Lake Cumberland has to offer whether it be romance and excitement, peace and tranquility, a family get-away, or just plain fun!

Lake Cumberland boasts many marinas providing boat rentals from fishing boats to state of the art houseboats; lake side restaurants, golf courses, nature trails, water falls and much more!

Guests to Lake Cumberland can take a scenic horseback ride, feed the trout at the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery, or catch a play or musical production at the historic Star Theater.

Golfers can enjoy playing on our beautiful courses. The Lake Cumberland Golf Club at Lily Creek Resort and Lakewood Country Club are 18-hole championship courses with driving ranges and practice greens.

Enjoy fishing and ready to catch the big one? Lake Cumberland offers trophy-size stripers and hold the state records for brown and rainbow trout and walleye. For fly fishermen, the Cumberland River below Wolf Creek Dam offers some of the best trout fishing anywhere.

Take your time and browse through our many antique, craft, and specialty shops in downtown Russell Springs and Jamestown. You are guaranteed to find the perfect treasure.

Whether you are looking for a weekend get-away, week-long vacation, a Fall foliage tour, houseboat vacation, or racing across the lake, Lake Cumberland is the place to visit.

This area of Lake Cumberland is visited frequently by boaters and fisherman in the summer months, but I would also highly recommend it in the fall. The crowds thin out when the temperatures cool off, the lake is quiet and tranquil and it’s a time of year when the leaves turn brilliant shades of crimson, orange and yellow. The fall colors here are brilliant and the clear nights put on a star show like no other.
