Two story dry cabin, Sleeps 6, Close to Town, Fully Stocked Kitchen
Two story dry cabin with two queen beds, and extra air mattresses. Room for the whole family. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, full sized kitchen appliances (fridge, stove, microwave). Charming, clean outhouse. This cabin does not have water, but enough is provided for cooking and cleaning. Showers and laundry facilities are available at nearby laundromat. Trailbreaker Cabins are located on the property of Trailbreak/ Susan Butcher Kennels, owned by Yukon Quest Champion David Monson. Individualized tours are available by request. We are closed for the 2013 season but we will reopen May 20, 2014.

About Nancy Monson
David won the Yukon Quest in 1988. He operates Trailbreaker Kennels, a working dog sled kennel. Nancy, David's sister, is a retired teacher and runs the Trailbreaker Cabins.

Why Nancy Monson chose Fairbanks
David loves Alaska and Fairbanks. He moved here in 1977 and never left. He met his wife Susan Butcher here and together they raced the Idiarod and Yukon Quest.
What makes this cabin unique
By special arrangement, you can experience the working dog sled kennel. The location is very close to town and yet very private. Each cabin is situated in a spruce forest.
