In less than 5 minutes from our home you are in the lovely center of San Clemente with its Sunday farmer's market, and from the San Clemente pier which is the host to numerous attractions throughout the year. From world-class surfing events, to the ocean festival, concerts on the beach, seafest and chowder cookoff, something is always cooking on the pier.

The Oaks Show Park in San Juan Capistrano is 6 miles away, an easy commute should you be needing a home while showing your horses and the spa after a long day at the show is perfect. A must see is the mission in San Juan Capistrano built in 1776, which is stunning in the spring.
Our home is located very close to one of the most ultimate ca surfing experiences; San Onofre and Trestles beach offer perfect point break waves for miles. Lower Trestles is home to the only ASP Hurley World Tour event in North America, an awesome time to watch many great surfers. For while at the beach enjoy the use of our boogie boards and beach towels.
We also hope you will enjoy riding bicycles, we are in an incredible cycling area, Trestles Beach trail is full of stunning views. If you are avid road cyclist you will be thrilled with the sites, the views are spectacular all the while the giving a cyclist a phenomenal workout. There are several public courses. San Clemente Municipal Golf Course, Shorecliffs Golf Club, Talega Golf Club; established in 2001, Talega features an 18-hole, par 72 Fred Couples “signature” championship golf course. An hour away is Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego County. No need to bring clubs as you are welcome to use ours.
Barney's Surf School has great instructors ranging from young children to adults. Our guests have enjoyed their lessons and their surf camps.
Next to SC is Dana Point is known as the “whale capital of the west” because several types of whales, use this point as a navigational landmark on their migrations north or south; whale watching boats provide amazing experiences to see these endangered species in their natural habitat! In addition to the majestic Blue Whales you will get the chance to see Fin Whales, Humpback Whales, Killer Whales, Minke Whales, sharks and large pods of dolphins.
The ocean institute in Dana Point has become nationally known for its hands-on marine science, environmental education and maritime history programs, great for all ages.
Fishing boats out of the Dana Point Wharf landing caters to the novice as well as the seasoned fisherman; lots of fish to catch, halibut, barracuda, yellowtail, white sea bass, sand bass, calico bass, bonito, and even tuna.
At the wharf kayaking is available, and Catalina Island is a one hour boat trip to the picturesque little town of Avalon .
Midway between Los Angeles and San Diego the drive to Disneyland, Universal Studios, J. Paul Getty Villa Malibu Museum, and the Getty Center Los Angeles (which offer incredible exhibitions from all over the world), San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park and Sea World are great day trips. A day at the races? Only 45 minutes away is Del Mar Race Track located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds which is open from July to September; even offering babysitting camps while the adults enjoy the races. Or enjoy the grand prix jumpers or dressage horses at the wonderful Del Mar National Horse Show.
And of course; shopping...South Coast mall is phenomenal with so much to offer for the avid shopper; Fashion Island in Newport Beach is a beautiful outdoor mall. Also great are the outlet stores of the giants; Nordstroms, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus, all within 20 miles.
