Ideal for a couple or 2 families, in a quiet yet active area

The newly built villa (2009), has two levels, and is slightly sloped toward the sea. It is nestled in a private garden with BBQ and stone oven, and has a 50mm private pool.

The first floor has the living room, the kitchen and the dining area. The living room has two large sofas, a working fireplace, large satellite TV, DVD player, and a panoramic view over the coastline. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area and kitchen.

The second level has 4 bedrooms, furnished and decorated with great taste. The master bedroom has a queen size (160 cm mattress) bed and en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi cabin. Two of the bedrooms are twin bedded. The last bedroom also has a queen size (160 cm mattress) bed . All of the bedrooms are equipped with satellite TV, air conditioning, and wireless Internet access. In the same level, there is a full bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub.

The villa comes with a coplimentary SUV, under the owners discretion. For further details check accomodation & facilities.

For every booking lasting over 10 days you will get for a SUV for FREE (Mitsubishi Pajero 7 seater) for your whole stay, which you will pickup from the Heraklion airport upon your arrival and you drop it off on your return flight.

The Villa is a stone's throw (5 minutes walk) from Galini beach, which has crystal clear waters and a beautiful seabed;

Within a radius of 15 kilometres, one can find water sports (water-ski, wakeboard, windsurf, banana and ring rides), a diving centre , go-cart, playgrounds, Eco and Agro tourism facilities, and a vast network of hiking paths connecting the beach with neighbouring villages.The local tavernas and restaurants have maintained their character, due to the careful touristic development around Lerapetra, and offer traditional and quality dishes in really reasonable prices. Last but not least, there are a lot of bars and nightclubs in the town of Makry Giallos and Lerapetra, that offer a great variety of choices for all tastes and ages.

Notes

  • Booking and security deposits

    A booking deposit of 20% is required to confirm a booking (details on cancellations follow). A booking will be confirmed, after receiving the full deposit. The additional total rental of 80% is collected at least 2 weeks prior to departure.
    Upon arrival, a security deposit of 300 Euros is required.
    For any booking made less than 2 weeks before departure the full payment is payable at the time of booking, along with the security deposit (full payment+300 Euros).

    For the SUV offer a refundable security deposit of 500 Euros is required, which will be returned back on your return to the aiport.
  • Cancellations policy

    60+ days before arrival: The full deposit is refundable.

    30-60 days before arrival: 50% of the deposit is refundable.

    15-30 days before arrival: 25% of the deposit is refundable.

    0-15 days before arrival: The deposit is not refundable.
  • Your security deposit paid on arrival will be returned at the day of your return, subject to a final inspection confirmation that the villa and its contents are in the same condition as on your arrival. Any damage and/or breakage, will be made good from your security deposit. The party leader agrees to accept full liability for all loss or damage caused by any member of their party, during the occupation of the villa and confirms that the full cost of repair or replacement will be met.

Our experience from Crete

When I first saw the villa on the website I thought it looked lovely, it was even more amazing when we arrived there. It is based in Galini and sits looking out over the Libyan sea. It is a five minute walk down to a little beach set in a cove. The villa is very spacious, clean and very cool with marble floors throughout, and very tastefully decorated. It has all the facilities you would find in your own home and more. A cleaner came by to change bedclothes and clean the villa with no intrusion on our time. There is a great outdoor pool and seating area with complete privacy. There are plenty of balconies in the villa to sit out in the warm evening air and enjoy a glass of Greek wine, before going out to dinner in one of the many local restaurants.

The owners George and Ana are the epitome of the warmest Greek hospitality you could ever receive and I cannot thank them enough for this, it makes for a great holiday. Many thanks too for the their wonderful BBQ lamb and potatoes, along with the fresh BBQ fish that George caught on an early morning fishing trip.

This was our first visit to Crete. We visited other parts of the island on day trips and really enjoyed the friendliness of the Greek people. I would highly recommend Galini as a destination and in particular this villa, it is one of the most beautiful places I have had the pleasure of staying in.

There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity and surrounding villages and the town of Irepetra is a short drive away, with a lovely promenade along the seafront, with cafes bars and restaurants. The town has lots of twisting little streets with interesting shops to explore. I would love to return to Crete again in the near future and would definitely return to this villa as my base. Thanks again George and Ana for a wonderful holiday and all your kindness, from Adrienne, Emma and Marie.

Vacation for the whole family - Crete

Sometime we need a little bit more than just hotel.
We’d like to avoid a reception queue, coldness and indifference of the waiters.
We’d to avoid booking beach bed near swimming pool and we don’t want to get additional
anxiety, and, of course we don’t like to run somewhere during our vacation.
It was our the first experience to rent a villa for 2 months. Of course, we stressed as to travel big family with small
children and to unknown place… But we met a nice combination of top hotel facilities and family comfort. It is important, isn’t it?
You know, Greek’s island cuisine will never been haute cuisine. It is just very healthy and fantastic tasted.
Ask owner, who is real gentleman, to tinker with his oven in the yard and you will get delicious dishes from the simple foods.
In any case and any time you will be backed right advices and necessary assistance.
But if you hire a maid you’ll be freed from daily kitchen issues. Enjoy breakfast with a terrace’s sea view, squinting at the sun and feel free from the
business. Good luck!

A very nice holiday in a very nice property

South East Crete is a perfect place for having relaxing holidays and that perfection could be even more "perfect" if you stay at Villa Amvrosia (property n° 479788). That because the property itself is very well kept with a very nice garden, a lovely swimming pool and the house is spacious and elegantly furnished; already all that would be enough to justify a positive comment and it is becoming even, extremely, positive if we considered the very good hospitality given by the villa's owner which has gone very much above what has been contractually agreed. Therefore, I do strongly recommend those willing to visit that part of Crete to catch this fantastic opportunity.

Beautiful Location On Crete - 5 Stars

I was introduced to Villa Amvrosia by a friend and I was more than impressed with the villa and location in Galini. The photos do not do it justice. When I arrived I was met by the owner, Giorgos, and he was very welcoming and friendly which was a great start.

We were 4 adults and 2 children, and because we stayed more than 15 days, Giorgos provided us for free a Jeep which we picked up at the airport and used it during our stay, and dropped it back at the airport afterwards. Apart from that the owner provided a maid who cleans the villa as normal, but for an extra charge she can organise and cook traditional dishes for you, something that I highly recommend.


The place is immaculately clean; all the rooms were spacious. Everything worked perfectly. There is a lovely pool outside which is quite the not normal everywhere in Crete, and the beach is 5 minutes walk away.

There is a major town centre, Ierapetra, with loads of shops 15 minutes away, with every type of store that you could ask for.

If you want to try the local Cretan food, which by the way differentiates from your regular Greek cuisine, I suggest going to Koutsouras which 10 minutes away by car, or Monstastiraki, which is a traditional village just off the main city of Ierapetra.

One day we went to Chryssi island which has crystal clear water like on a tropical island, and is worth a visit. There are plenty of things for the kids to do, it safe and secure, and ticks all my boxes for an ideal place to go to. I’ll be back.

I rented this Villa from August, 19 till September, 2. There were 5 adults and 4 children - quite a company! First I'd like to mention that the property description was good, but in reality the Villa is much better! The owners of the Villa are very kind people, they were very helpful to satisfy our requests. The villa is amazing, with an incredible sea view. The overall service is good - house cleanig and pool cleaning is in place, no disturbance. Our chilren liked swimming in the pool very much. I would certaily recommend the villa to a friend, because the location is excellent, interior is amazing and the owners are kind-hearted.By the way i would like to return there next summer
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
