Harbour Hill is a large, modern house within 120 metres of the sandy beach at Gorran Haven.
It has parking for 3 cars, a large enclosed garden and 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 separate was, it will accommodate 8 people in comfort. It has a lovely light aspect throughout.
The house is very suitable for families or friends on holiday with beach and cliff walking in mind. Also good for just sitting on the deck doing nothing! The house and garden have sea views and the beach is one of the best in Cornwall for children of all ages having safe bathing, fine sand, a stream to play in, rock pools and a quay to jump off or fish from!
The house has four bedrooms (en suite king, king/twin, twin & double) , three bathrooms (master, family & wet room) and a total of 5 toilets. There is a large open plan living space with kitchen and dining areas off a comfortable sitting room with leather sofas and log burner.
There is a second TV viewing area upstairs suitable for children or escaping adults
Harbour Hill is a much loved house, it has a very loyal following of repeat guests and comes highly recommended. It is in a quiet private setting in the heart of Gorran Haven, a charming and friendly fishing village.
It has Wifi and TVs in two rooms. Some of our guests come with their computers and just enjoy working in a new and relaxing place - (wonderful to live in the age of the internet!). Most are here to get away from it all - the house offers you the best of both worlds!
It has been recently remodelled, adding a spacious second storey. It is finished to a high standard and well insulated; as well as central heating, there is a log burner in the sitting room, so cheerful and warm. it is a comfortable holiday house in Summer and winter.
The house is spacious and it is designed so that everyone has their own space. It works well for two families as the two pairs of bedrooms and bathrooms are on different floors. We often have two or three generations enjoying holidays together, with grand parents able to join their children and at the same time relax!
The house is designed with a convenient ground floor shower room, WC and utility room at the end nearest the beach! Good for coming straight from the beach. There are bedrooms and bathrooms on both ground and first floor levels, so the house is suitable for those who prefer not to use stairs.
The living space is large, with kitchen, dining and sitting room open plan and with two sets of French doors the deck, garden and patio can be continuous too. There is outdoor dining furniture on the deck and a BBQ.
We have enjoyed wonderful evenings with the children playing tennis on the lawn below the deck, while the adults socialise and cook in this lovely big space. When it's time to come indoors, children can retire to the first floor landing room where there is a second TV and DVD.
Cornwall is a wonderful atmospheric place to visit at all times, but after the Summer Cornwall has a lovely warm Autumn - the sea is at it's warmest! From September onwards there is a special quiet and intimacy to our beautiful landscape. From Harbour Hill there are inland and cliff top walks front the front door of the house.
The local area offer several excellent restaurants and interesting small shops nearby.
In Cornwall it is possible to travel from one coast to the other in under an hour, so although we usually end up staying close to our own pretty south coast, the big waves on the surfing beaches or the art galleries in St Ives are accessible from here. Our own local wonders are the Lost Gardens at Heligan and the Eden Project.
