A beautiful Victorian home originally built at the turn of the last century and architecturally transformed into newly renovated vacation rentals. The comforts of the new and charm of the old! You will feel completely at home with two bedrooms, both with bathrooms. The kitchen has been remodeled with new cabinets, granite counters and stainless steel appliances.
It is well supplied with pots and pans etc should you have an interest in cooking meals. There are many peaceful and relaxing nooks. Family and friends can relax at the end of the day either in the living area, dining room, sun porch or backyard.
This is a very comfortable unit with cable TV, flat screen 3D HDTV with DVD, CD stereo, towels and linens are provided, new large washer and dryer. Air conditioning except in the upper bedroom. Plenty of natural light and a sun/reading/rain watching room. The large dining room has French doors that lead onto a wonderful sun room which is perfect for reading.
Hardwood floors throughout other than the bedrooms which are carpeted and have comfortable queen sized beds.

We are located in Portland’s historic Nob Hill/Alphabet district west of the I-405. It is a central location with a mix of vintage, independent and higher end shops 1-3 blocks away. Couch park is a lovely green space and less than 2 blocks away.
Working in Portland? Bring your laptop, we have a scanner-printer, high-speed Internet with wireless throughout the apartment. Staying here, you will probably never have to use a car to get around town. Parking is limited. This neighborhood has one of the best walking scores in all of Portland.

This home is located in a prime location a few blocks from popular NW 21st & 23rd avenues, 3 blocks from the Pearl district and 10 blocks to downtown Portland. There are lots of boutiques, home design shops both local and well-known stores, antiques. Portland has hiking & biking trails, parks, galleries, fabulous restaurants whether for happy hour or fine dining, European bakeries, local micro breweries and pubs, coffee shops. Just about everything for an enjoyable visit. It is very close to the street car. There is the convenience of a great health conscience urban grocery store for everyday necessities. Close to public transit… makes this a great place to stay.
Cultural attractions include performing arts, Portland Art Museum and countless art galleries in the Pearl and Nob Hill. Major league soccer (Portland Timbers) is within walking distance. Scenic day trips range from Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood, the Columbia Gorge, Oregon wine country within 60 miles. The Oregon coast is 70 miles. Minutes from boutique shopping, restaurants in the Pearl and on 21st and 23rd, 4 blocks from streetcar, bus, 2 miles from downtown, 6 blocks from Good Sam Hospital, 15 minutes or less from Oregon Zoo, Rose Quarter, Providence Park Soccer Arena, OHSU, PSU, St. Vincent and Providence Medical Centers.
Just three blocks to the Street Car (local mass transit) which allows easy access to all of Portland.
There are 4 steps from the street to the entrance and 15 steps from the living area to the upper bedroom. 6 steps to the rear patio.

We are originally from the UK & Canada, have traveled extensively in the US and Europe using vacation rentals. We have been coming to Portland for many years and love the city. It is a paradise for walking, cycling, eating and drinking, and you do not need a car! We have 2 places in prime locations, the Feathered Nest is one of them.

The architects who converted this 100 year old house into 2 units did a great job of maintaining the old charm while adding modern amenities, we have recently upgraded the property again. It is a home from home in the absolute best area in Portland.
Walking distance to restaurants, bars, breweries, theaters, light rail, parks, the river, downtown & the Pearl district, the Timbers soccer stadium, Lots of separate spaces, a peaceful porch and sun room for reading and rain watching. Large dining room, living room and kitchen.
This house was in a great location, walking distance to the Pearl District and even downtown. Perfect for two couples traveling together as there is a bedroom/bathroom both upstairs and downstairs. Everything you need to cook, relax and explore Portland!
We had the pleasure of staying at The Nest for 6 nights in April 2015 and could easily have stayed for a month. We found everything as described in the listing, and more. We were very impressed with the quality of the amenities and detailed attention to the comfort of guests. We had everything we needed and were welcomed with a bottle of wine and Stumptown coffee beans! Our niece was traveling with us so the second floor bedroom suite was ideal for her privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunroom. The location is ideal in a lovely, quiet neighborhood within easy walking of shops, restaurants and markets. We really loved this place and can't say enough about it. Debbie was wonderful to work with and thought of everything. We decided we would return to Portland just to stay at The Nest again!
As a frequent visitor to this property, I must say it never gets old. We LOVE the Nest. Every time I walk in the door, I let out a big sigh of relief and exclaim out loud, "Oh yes!!! We are HOME!!!"
The newest addition to the Nest is the totally great: just in time for great weather, Robbie and Debbie have added a little patio oasis to the backyard; when you are back there you don't even feel like you are in a big city. We were in town for a wedding. Did we go? No. Did we instead sit out back under the huge shade tree in the gorgeous weather drinking fantastic beer from Rogue Brewery (right up the road) and amazing cured meats and fresh fruit from the City Market (also right up the road)? Yes, yes we did! Do we feel guilty? Ok, a little! It was worth it!
The upstairs bathroom was also just remodeled and it is SO NICE. Granite countertops, subway tiles, a large shower head and glass door make it really beautiful. It matches the rest of the house now. The whole house now has the greatest feeling of really being on a luxury vacation.
Whether it is your first time or your 10th time at the Nest, you will find it to be the cleanest, most well stocked, private, comfortable, and relaxing house in the best location of Portland. Park your car and walk to everything you need. Relax and enjoy the Nest, the owners have done all the work for you!
The gorgeous home, the neighborhood, the convenience make this more like a retreat than a simply a place to stay. Truly a wonderful experience.
The owners care and attention is evident in all of the small details they have thoughtfully included. A wonderful location on a quiet one way street within easy walking distance of both the Pearl District and NW23rd Street, as well as the street car line (one of Portland's many great public transit options).
Spacious, CLEAN and nicely decorated, the front porch, sunroom, nicely appointed kitchen, large dining room, comfortable living/family area, first floor master en suite and lovely upstairs bedroom and bathroom offer some of the best lodging options in the city.
As very experienced users of VRBO, I have to say this is the nicest property we have stayed at irregardless of cost. I have no hesitation in highly recommending a stay here and hope to return myself.

Debra has thought of everything! We spent a lot of time in the sunroom enjoying coffee before the start of our day. We enjoyed using the wonderful kitchen with so many high-end appliances and accessories.Debra provided lots of resources for what to do in Portland. Slept very well in the comfortable beds. We would love to return and stay here again. It was so nice to be welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine and local coffee beans for the next morning. This place is well worth it!!
