My wife and I have stayed in cabins in Greer for ten years now and this cabin is one of the nicest we have seen. Loved the wood burning fireplace, one of the newer insert kind where no smoke gets in the cabin but you get to enjoy the warmth. Wood is cut to size and stacked right outside the door. Comfy bed, spacious and very clean. Liked the call from the owner of the cabin when we checked in to see if everything was OK. Favorite spot was on the front deck. The deck is spacious and fenced so the dogs can be out there too. Bring peanuts! We had blue jays, nutcrackers, mountain dove and several squirrels. Nice spacious lot with pine and aspen.
My Husband and I were vacationing in Arizona and stopped off in Greer. We went to the Cabin Keepers to see what was available. We requested something back in the woods and quiet. We were told the cabins available and looked through the book that described each one in detail along with pictures. We chose the Sargent's Hideaway for our 2 night stay. The cabin looked just like the picture and had all the amenities we needed. Very clean, anything you would need for your stay was available. Just like home. Jay the owner had called us on our 2nd night to see if there were any problems and how we were enjoying our stay. Very nice touch. The cabin is in a nice area. Peaceful and relaxing. Added bonuses: the Wi-Fi and we received a voucher for the Molly Butler Restaurant for a percentage off our meal. Didn't mind starting the laundry. Threw it in and away we went. Would definitely return.
Our stay was truly like being at a home away from home. We have stayed in Greer before for several weekends and also in Show Low/Pinetop. This was truly our favorite cabin and lodging experience. The cabin is immaculate and very well cared for. We had everything we could need or hope for. We had no need to call for any assistance or concern, and were very surprised to hear the phone ring. Our very wonderful host, called to check on us as if we were friends visiting his home. We were so happy with it, that we tried to book it again for two weeks later, only to find that the same family has booked it for Columbus Day weekend consistently for many years. I am not surprised! We loved the floor plan the spacious open living area, kitchen, dining room. The fireplace was beautiful. I was the most impressed with step by step instructions, and obvious care and time put in to making guests feel very comfortable. Thank you! Next time maybe we'll take the kids!
My husband and I go to Greer every year for the past 8 years. This was one of the nicest cabins we have stayed in. We came up with my parents and our dogs and found the cabin to be spacious and cozy. We loved having wifi in the cabin!! It was a relaxing trip for all. The cabin was super clean and well maintained. We couldn't believe how well stocked the kitchen was with supplies. The location of the cabin was great too. It was far enough off the road we didn't have to worry about the dogs, but close enough to stroll to town. We will definitely want to book this cabin again.
My husband and I, along with our small dog, spent a relaxing week at the Sargent's cabin. Everything was as described and we were most pleased with how clean and well maintained the property was. We were not used to satellite TV and pushed a few wrong buttons which caused us to lose the picture. When we called the property manager for help a most patient man arrived within minutes and got us back on track. We also appreciated a phone call from Jay asking if everything met our expectations. What great customer service!
There are lovely paths and trails for dog walking and afternoons spent reading on the porch as gentle rains fell were a refreshing change from the heat of the desert. We also loved the spacious property and privacy it provided along with the lovely little aspen grove that surrounded us. Hopefully we will be able to return again next year. Thank you Sargent family, we have already recommended your properties to friends.
We have been staying at the Hideaway for over 13 years now. It literally is our home away from home! Everything we need is there! All we need to bring is food, a sense of adventure and relaxation! Jay Sargeant is always accommodating our every need. For example, my mom has this favorite chair she likes to sit in on the porch when we are there. He always makes sure it is out and ready for her. This year he put a new cushion on it!
One year the satellite DVR went out. The maintenance man did his best to fix it but couldn't seem to get it to work. Jay actually drove up from Tucson that day and replaced it with a new one!
It's personal service like that that keep us coming back!
Plus the cabin is spacious and cozy and is set back from the main rode which offers some privacy and peace and quiet.
Can wait until next summer to go back!
