I'm a local contemporary painter, originally from California. After traveling around the world and living in Mexico City for a decade, I found my home in New Mexico. Absolutely love the landscapes, architecture, and people.
We take great pride in providing a welcoming, pleasant and clean environment. The home is furnished with independent spring padded mattresses, luxurious bedding and linens for a tranquil sleep experience.
Reserved parking space 5 min from Plaza, access (for an additional fee) to our gorgeous Jemez Mountain retreat:
We reserved three days and ended up extending our stay another three days- we enjoyed it so much!
As an Architect when I arrived I felt right at home with all the personal details and attention the Owner has paid to this Adobe Style home. The Owner met us when we arrived...showed us around and provided some recommendations....and gave us a wonderful bottle of wine to start our Santa Fe Adventure (College Roommate Girls Trip). The home is cozy and excellent for a couple or for a few friends on a girls trip! I originally chose the home because of the fireplace featured in the VRBO photos, but the kitchen was the real hearth of our trip. Fully stocked to accommodate preparing a nice meal or perfect just to have an appetizer and glass of wine. The linens were perfectly soft and oh so comfortable! I slept on a pullout and thought I was on a cloud. I would highly recommend this home which is a short drive to everywhere in Santa Fe. You could walk, but I would say its a bit far if you're going to be on your feet all day. Everything you could ever imagine was within a 10 minutes drive so not to worry (Plaza, Canyon Lane, Trader Joes, Santa Fe Railway and Markets, the list could go on. I would stay here again without reservation!
Loved our home away from home. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. The location was a bit far out but we had parking privileges in town so it didn't matter. The street was a quiet little dead end road so traffic not an issue. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The property was exactly what we needed. It was very well decorated and not overly "Santa Fe" in style. The property was clean and in the area described which is a short car ride from the Plaza. The back porch was a great sitting area in the morning while we planned our days. We recommend and will hopefully be back.
Chic Artist Casita was a great find on VRBO! For being a rental property in Santa Fe, its very affordable, clean, well maintained and gives the renter some space and its in a quiet neighborhood. It is a long walk to the square but doable. Railyard is closer, about 10-15 minutes on foot. Your close to the bike path and some great restaurants; Counter Culture & Tune Up are walking distance from the casita. You could go without a car, but you would be a little limited unless you do like to walk or take a taxi.
Usually I stay at the Old Santa Fe Inn when I visit the city. This casita was a great option that was much more warm and inviting. It was very clean, quiet, and gives you a different feel of Santa Fe compared to the usual tourist-oriented lodging options. I'd recommend it.
Location is spot on, easy to walk to the Railyard, but not in the heat if you're not used to it. Getting to the Plaza on foot would be a stretch. Photos are accurate and the owners live next door. They know how to balance being helpful with being available.
The Baca District is the new artist district located centrally in one of Santa Fe's traditional neighborhoods. 5-10 minute walk to the Railyard and a 25 minute walk to the Plaza. We offer an additional reserved parking space 5 min from the Plaza for guests who do not want to make the 25 min walk. The parking space is located on the historic Old Santa Fe Trail, one of the most beautiful streets to experience historic Santa Fe, 5 min from Plaza.
