Located in the new artist district- Soho Santa Fe, Casa Encantada is a cozy 2 bedroom traditional adobe house with eclectic, luxurious decor. Centrally located, very private, near cafe's at the Railyard, trails, and galleries.
We reserved three days and ended up extending our stay another three days- we enjoyed it so much!
Loved our home away from home. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. The location was a bit far out but we had parking privileges in town so it didn't matter. The street was a quiet little dead end road so traffic not an issue. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The property was exactly what we needed. It was very well decorated and not overly "Santa Fe" in style. The property was clean and in the area described which is a short car ride from the Plaza. The back porch was a great sitting area in the morning while we planned our days. We recommend and will hopefully be back.
Chic Artist Casita was a great find on VRBO! For being a rental property in Santa Fe, its very affordable, clean, well maintained and gives the renter some space and its in a quiet neighborhood. It is a long walk to the square but doable. Railyard is closer, about 10-15 minutes on foot. Your close to the bike path and some great restaurants; Counter Culture & Tune Up are walking distance from the casita. You could go without a car, but you would be a little limited unless you do like to walk or take a taxi.
Usually I stay at the Old Santa Fe Inn when I visit the city. This casita was a great option that was much more warm and inviting. It was very clean, quiet, and gives you a different feel of Santa Fe compared to the usual tourist-oriented lodging options. I'd recommend it.
Location is spot on, easy to walk to the Railyard, but not in the heat if you're not used to it. Getting to the Plaza on foot would be a stretch. Photos are accurate and the owners live next door. They know how to balance being helpful with being available.
Great location for our Santa Fe visit. Very clean and pleasant decor. Nicely supplied kitchen, and the shower was high enough for tall people :).
This little gem was the absolute PERFECT place for us... I can't imagine a more comfortable place to stay in Santa Fe... and the location was great. Gina and Joe were amazing hosts and my mother and I really felt like we made 2 new friends. Both of them were so warm and kind. This little casa has everything you need while traveling, close to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and downtown, and the decor really makes you feel like you are in the Southwest. I wished multiple time that I could pick up this like house and take it back with me to North Carolina. Pick this place... you WON'T regret it!!
The Baca District is the new artist district located centrally in one of Santa Fe's traditional neighborhoods. 5-10 minute walk to the Railyard and a 20 minute walk to the Plaza.
