Two Bedroomed Apartment in the charming village of Carveioro

The accommodation is situated on the first floor in a block of four apartments. It is in such a position that it recieves the sun all day.The apartment has two spacious bedroom with large built in wardrobes. We have 2 seperate bathrooms, one with a walk in shower and one with a bath/shower. A modern fully fitted kitchen including a stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. A spacious lounge with separate dinning area with doors leading onto a large balcony with view overlooking the pool and surrounding areas of Carvoeiro. The balcony is partly covered so that you can choose to enjoy the many days of sunshine or relax in the shade. We have fitted a log burning stove for the cooler winter months which makes the apartment very warm and cosy. Each room is also fitted with an electric heater. Satellite TV (BBC etc) is provided together with a selection of DVDs and books.

The apartment is perfect for summer and winter holidays.

Monte Dourado holiday apartment in the 'quintessential fishing village' of Carvoeiro .

Golf: The majority of Portugal’s best golf courses are located in the Algarve and many are amongst the best in Europe. The mild climate ensures that the game is played all year round. All abilities are catered for and Carvoeiro is a good base for those who want to enjoy the sport whilst on holiday. Many of the clubs allow non-members to play and dress codes are normally less formal than the UK.

Listed below are some of the golf clubs and facilities within easy reach of the apartment. For those who ae willing to travel slightly further afield there are many more to choose from along the Algarve coast.

Vale de Milho

This is a short nine-hole course, ideal for practicing with short irons. Open to non-members and families.

Quinta do Gramacho

Originally a nine hole course which has been extended to become a full 18-hole course. Good technique and club selection are required to play this course successfully.

Vale da Pinta

Situated near Carvoeiro in an old olive grove, Vale da Pinta is a championship course that is, nonetheless, adaptable to any kind of game.

  • During July and August we would prefer Saturday to Saturday bookings, although we are willing to negotiate on this.
  • Additional information about rental rates:
    Discounts available for long winter lets (8 weeks min).
    25% deposit to confirm booking, balance due 6 weeks before arrival.
    £150 refundable security deposit due with the balance.
    We can accept payment into either our GBP account or EURO account
  • INCLUDED: Daily maid service & towels changed twice weekly and pool towels are provided, reception service, open daily they can arrange car hire, airport transfers & groceries, and have useful information on local tourist attractions. Reception is also on hand in the unlikely event there is a problem with your apartment and maintenance staff are based on site. There is also the convenience of a telephone link to reception in the apartment, available also for outside calls at additional cost.
    Tennis courts are €5 per hour, there are plenty of nice new sunbeds around the pool which are provided free.
    WINTER RATES: Carvoeiro village is lively right through the winter and is popular with people wanting to holiday there in a nice climate. The prices quoted for the low season are plus electricity (there are electric heaters in every room) and are per week, if the stay is for a longer period we can offer significant discounts please contact us for prices.

Enjoyable week.

Hi Rimpke,

Just an email to tell you how much we enjoyed our week in your apartment. It was fantastic and had everything that we needed. Having the maid service each day was a great extra and the apartment was so clean and comfortable. It was really strange being able to watch This Morning or Daybreak each morning in Portugal and my boyfriend loved having sky news to keep up to date with things back home! The pool was quiet which suited us fine. We had a week of sunshine with only a couple of days with a little cloud.

Carvoeiro was even better than I remembered. We took up your recommendation to visit the Casa Algarvia restaurant and it ended up being our favourite meal of the week so thank you for that!

Can't tell you how sad I am to be back to rainy Scotland. I will definitely be recommending your apartment to family and friends and hopefully will manage a trip back myself some time soon!

Lovely time

We had a lovely time in Carvoeiro, thanks! I meant to write sooner, to tell you so, but have obviously been kept busy with being on holiday! I'm back at home now, and much the better for the time spent in Portugal. So, thank you for your apartment, which suited us perfectly, and in such a good location. We managed to fit in two sessions on the tennis court and even used the pool! It did rain, but most of the time it was sunny, if not warm. The apartment was great, and we found your notes very useful. The only thing we found tricky was the very weak internet connection.

Excellent apartment and location , it lived up to everything I expected from the description. Monte Dourado is a really well cared for resort. I will definately recommend this apartment to friends and hope to visit again. It is only a very short waljk to the town where there are lots of restaurants, our favourite was 'O' Cantinho.

Lovely Stay

Just to say we are back home safely
and had lovely time
The apt had everything we needed
and the resort was lovely!
We mainly had the pool to ourselves
as it was pretty quiet so that was good.

Liebe Rimpke,

mit ein bischen Verspätung ( zwischenzeitlicher Besuch in Berlin) komme ich heute dazu, Ihnen nach unserer Rückkehr aus Ihrer schönen Wohnung in Monte Dourado einige Zeilen zu schreiben.

Neben dem traumhaften Wetter während unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes haben wir die Gemütlichkeit Ihrer Wohnung sehr genossen. Alles war in Ordnung, gepflegt und so stand einem schönem Urlaub nichts im Wege. Vom herrlichen Balkon haben wir sehr viel Gebrauch gemacht, schon morgens konnten wir im Halbschatten frühstücken, danach die Sonne genießen und abends den Sonnenuntergang bei einem Gläschen Vino Verde erleben.

Vielen Dank nochmals für Ihre vielen Tipps. Haben einige Restaurants aufgesucht, weitere auf eigene Faust ausprobiert und sind nicht ein einziges Mal enttäuscht worden. Für Ihren nächsten Besuch können wir Ihnen die Cataplana bei JOTA LITA in der Hauptstraße besonders empfehlen.

Natürlich haben wir auch bei Will in der Roundup Bar des öfteren Halt gemacht. Die Stimmung dort war immer riesig. Aber wir haben auch die Open-Air-Konzerte auf dem Dorfplatz bei äußerst angenehmen Temperaturen genossen.

Insgesamt haben wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub dort verbracht. Bestimmt werden wir auch wieder nach Carvoeiro und wenn möglich in Ihre Wohnung kommen.

Bis zum nächsten Mal wünschen wir Ihnen und Ihrer Familie alles Gute und Gesundheit.
