Located in the Place Saint Michel, this elegant apartment provides a calm, quiet respite in the midst of one of the most exciting districts in Paris. The windows overlook Notre Dame, the Seine, and the Saint-Michel fountain, and are double-glazed to block out the noise from the vibrant streets below. The two bedrooms also face a silent interior courtyard. This space certainly has the best of two worlds: quiet relaxation and easy access to Paris's cultural attractions.

The apartment's two large bedrooms are each equipped with a queen size bed (one of which can convert to two twin beds). The tiled bathroom contains two sinks and a bathtub, and a separate toilet is located off of the entry.

The sunny, open living room/kitchen area is a spacious 46 square meters, with beautiful views of the Seine River. The building has an automatic door, an elevator, and was recently refurbished. The appliances are modern and the decor refined.

A wonderful stay in the Latin Quarter.

This is an excellent apartment if you want to experience life in this interesting district of Paris. As I was travelling with my 94 year old (but active) mother, we had very stringent requirements . We needed a lift, close access to public transport, especially buses, a comfortable, roomy apartment for those days when we didn't want to rush out sight-seeing, and our own cooking facilities. This apartment more that met all our expectations.
On the stay-at-home days there was so much to see from the balcony, there was really no sense of missing out. Place Saint Michel is such a vibrant busy place, day and night that it was easy to feel part of that world from the balcony. However, with the windows closed, no noise penetrated.
The apartment is within easy reach of the main museums, shopping streets and attractions that Paris has to offer, simply by catching a bus or Metro. But closer to home there are fabulous little neighbourhoods to enjoy and no end of choice of cafes, brasseries and restaurants. One block to the left is Sainte Chapelle and Notre Dame and two blocks to the right the Cluny Museum.
Who could ask for more? We had a fantastic 9 days here and would definitely come back to this apartment and recommend it to our friends.

Near Perfect

I am a seasoned traveler and when traveling with family, our preferred accomodations are a rental apartment. I can be a bit obsessive when searching for the best apartment for our family vacations. I was thrilled with this apartment in Place St Michel. It was spacious for my family of four, well appointed, very comfortable. The location was ideal for our four days of exploring Paris. In any direction, we could walk for a few blocks and see and experience the amazing sights and culture of Paris. We were there during the infamous Fete de la Musique, the Street Music Festival when live bands play throughout the city for one night in June. As this apartment sits directly on the Place St Michel, we had a birds eye view of the bands and the crowds (literally thousands of people and literally a band playing under our balconey) but when we shut the windows, the noise, even on this noisiest of nights, was completely tolerable. I would rent this same property again if I needed a rental in Paris. My only complaint is the lack of air conditioning. The bedrooms, in the back of the apartment, can be a little stuffy.

Wonderful week staying at 2 Place St Michel, Paris

We were let down with only 24 hours notice from our departure to Paris when glamaparis.com came to our rescue and found us this apartment in Place St Michel.

Not only is the apartment ideally situated for tourist attractions within walking distance, but it has a Metro station across the road with connections to RER trains as well. Norte Dame, the Pompidou centre and Musee d'Orsay are all within easy walking distance.

The apartment balconies provide a window onto Parisien life. the area is perfect for both daytime and evening strolls through beautiful streets full of shops and restaurants which we found unrivalled by other quarters in Paris. Having 15 and 9 year olds, the area catered to all our needs.

Glamaparis not only gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival, providing us with a detailed neighbourhood guide, but responded promptly to email queries sent during our stay, which was very reassuring.

The apartment itself was perfect for us; glamaparis ensured it was clean, well maintained and fully equipped, plus that the second bedroom was made up into a twin room to cater for our family's needs.

Although not the cheapest of apartments, we were not disappointed in any way and having travelled within and beyond Europe would say this is the nicest apartment we have stayed in.

We would definitely book with both glamaparis and this apartment apartment again for our next visit to Paris.

Unsurpassable Location - Charming Apartment!

We were truly lucky to be able to stay in this wonderful apartment! I took many days and umpteen hours looking for "the perfect apartment" in the "center" of the true Parisian experience, and this property surpassed my expectations.

Since I was traveling with my 85 year old mother, young adult daughter and her friend, my search requirements were very stringent - we had to be within steps to many local cafes and shops, the metro station and taxi stops, as my mother doesn't get around well. For the sake of the girls, we also had to be within walking distance of everything, with rental bikes outside of the door. We needed an "elderly person" friendly apartment which was secure, safe, and with an elevator. This is exactly what we found at this gem of an apartment.

The apartment has 2 balconies overlooking Fontaine St. Michel, the River Seine and Cathedral Notre Dame. We loved sitting in front of the balconies watching and listening to the street performers and multitudes of onlookers in the evening. It was a perfect people-watching perch. While very noisy when the balconies were opened up, it was surprisingly quiet during the night when closed the balconies to sleep.The apartment was original, charming, and while old, it is very nicely kept up. All facilities worked very well, and the property management staff was very friendly and helpful. It does not have air conditioning, which may be a problem during a heat wave. But during our stay when it was 70-80 degrees during the day, it was very pleasant.

The only down side (but small concern compared to all of the positives) is that the apartment is not very well stocked. We were provided one roll of toilet paper and one half roll of paper towels, so had to go out as soon as we got there to buy more. By the way, there are grocery stores wtihin 2 blocks of the apartment. There were no washcloths or kleenex, and only one very thin, small kitchen towel. There were no replacement trash bags, no extra bed blankets or pillows. Next time I go to this property, I will be sure to request these items in advance, which should take care of the problem. You can also ask for water and snacks to be waiting for you when you arrive, which is a great help.

Overall, I would give this property a 9+ (not a 10+ only because of the scarce supplies). If you decide to stay in this property, you will have found the perfect launching point for a most memorable Parisian experience!

Great apartment !

We stayed a few days in this apartment and I will immediately jump to pros and cons:
Pros:
- great location - you are just a few steps or metro stations from almost everything you want !
- the area is packed by restaurants and bistros
- the flat is big, well decorated and.charming
- we were met and transfered there and back by a polite service using a comfortable car
-at arrival the representative walked us through the flat and addressed all questions
Cons:
- the location is noisy ! There is always a crowd at the Place StMichel , so you hear all the noise at dinner and till late. At night it is quite but in early morning you will be woken up by cleaning sounds at the inner yard - not long though ...
- there is an oversized bathroom but the toilet is separate from it - would be more handy to have two toilets as the place is targeted for bigger groups
- really not equipped well by kitchen ware - no towels, no juice maker, no cattle, not enough equipment and things ...
- we were very stressed by the representative beeing late at check out by almost 1 hour (!) with 1 k Euro deposit - not what you want when you are heading to the airport !!!!

So, overall nice apartment but the welcoming service could be better and the equipment has to be revised !
