Our beautiful home is in the stunning and quintessentially English riverside town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire. The house has been newly renovated in the last 6 months, and has a new kitchen, bedroom suite and bathrooms. The ensuite off the master bedroom has a new 'rain' shower, and the other bathroom has a bath.
All the furniture and indeed contents of the house are brand new and are of a high standard. The property has three floors and boats three double bedrooms and a bunk room for those with children. Fantastic open plan entertaining space which comprises of the dining room, kitchen and glass doors which fold back to the outside space.
Location, Location, Location! We are two minutes walk away from Marlow High Street, which is full of high end shops and restaurants (there are also Michelin starred restaurants in the area). Our favorite traditional pub is a short 2 min walk away. We are also perfectly positioned for riverside walks, as the park and river is a few minutes down the road. We are in close proximity to the local station (5 min walk) and there are regular trains into London (50mins) or a 40 min drive. We are a 20 min drive away from Windsor Castle and 45 mins from Oxford.
We are a family who now live in Bermuda, but originally lived in Marlow. We met in the High Street when we were 16 and we have been together for 22 years and now have two children. We wanted to buy a place for us to return to when we visit the UK, but also to let on a vacation rental basis. We love Marlow, it is such a beautiful town and we wanted our children to grow up with a connection to it.

Excellent property which met all of our needs. We travelled with small children and spent nearly three weeks in the house and had a great time. The house is tastefully furnished and has everything a family could need, i.e. multiple well furnished bedrooms, two bathrooms, stair gates, portacots, pushchairs etc. It is also within walking distance to everything the high street has to offer, great for an early morning stroll to get the newspaper and coffees or a dash out when supplies are needed. The house is close to the park and river, great for walks and to entertain the kids. Marlow is a very quaint town and historic town and its location provides easy access to Henley, Windsor, Oxford and London so it is a great place to use as a base.
As we were planning a trip with our young adult children, we came across the ad for this home to stay in that we felt would accommodate us all. The information on the web site seemed almost too good to be true. The owners were quite prepared in everything that they had added to their site. We booked our trip with excitement and upon our arrival we were not let down. The inside was immaculate, everything was new. There was more than enough space for all four of us, as a matter of fact there was one bedroom with bunk beds that was not occupied. We chose Marlow because our best friends do not live far. Marlow is a lovely little town and close to the train station that will take you London. The house is set in a quiet area with a well kept front and back yard. The stores are close by, within walking distance. We rented a car as we had planned to travel to more than London. Parking can be a bit tricky during the working hours until you get the hang of it. We would certainly stay here again and we would recommend it. The rental and banking process was seamless. The damage deposit was promptly refunded. My queries to the owner were answered within a few hours to days. Very efficient.
We stayed at 18 Station Road for a week this summer when visiting from overseas. We have two small children and wanted more space than a hotel for our trip and were looking for a home away from home. We had an absolutely perfect time. The property itself is beautifully decorated and looked after, lots of attention to detail including children's plate,cups, travel cot etc. There is a lovely park at the end of the road which was the high light of my 3 yrs olds trip to UK this time. Marlow is great full of nice cafés and restaurants and great location for driving into London or accessing motorways for lots of local attractions. The property owners were very accommodating of our needs including very late check in. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and hope to stay there again in the future.
My husband and I and our four children (ages 7-13) really enjoyed our stay in this house in Marlow. The house is well laid out with modern amenities, and it is tastefully decorated. It's a 5 minute walk to the Marlow train station so it's very convenient if you want to take trips into London. The high street with nice shops, restaurants, and park with playground is 2 minutes the other direction. We did not hire a car for our two week stay and did not feel at all inconvenienced. Communication with the owners and response from the property manager, when needed, were both very good. I highly recommend a stay in this house in Marlow.
This is one of the nicest vacation rentals we've stayed at. The house was exactly as described - modern, updated, nicely furnished, comfortable, clean - the photos are accurate. What can't be described by the photos is the perfect location - Marlow is such a wonderful town (great restaurants, shopping, picturesque) and the house is located just a very short walk from the main street. It's also a short walk to the Thames, where we enjoyed walking on the footpath in both directions. Owners and property manager were very easy to work with and promptly got back to us with questions. We used the house as our base for enjoying the Henley Royal Regatta (an easy drive) and other sites nearby. Highly recommend this property.
We stayed in this home for a week in late June. We were 2 families (4 adults and 4 children aged 3-8). We had plenty of room for all. The home was very comfortable, well decorated and with a lot of attention to detail to make your stay so much more pleasant. It seems the owners have really put in a lot of thought about what makes a house a home, even if it is only for a week. It is very well located for visiting Windsor Castle, Legoland and you can get to London in about 1.5 hours via train (the train station is a very short walk away). The Marlow area is very nice and has all the amenities you need. There is a great playground 2 blocks away. I highly recommend this house for your stay in this area.
The Propety is 4 minutes away from lovely river walks along the River Thames and the fantastic Higginson Park. To be honest there is plenty to do in Marlow and the surrounding area. For those wanting to sightseeing and travel further afield - Windsor castle is a short 20 minute drive away. The house is close to the local station - trains into London take around 45 minutes. We are also a 40 minute drive away from the historic city of Oxford.
