Errichel Cottages is a small family run holiday home letting business based on a hillside farm in Aberfeldy. Three of our holiday homes are surrounded by the grounds and gardens of the family house at Errichel Farm and enjoy spectacular views across the valley over farmland to Highland Perthshire beyond. There is a duck pond, lawns, woodland and forests to explore and visitors will often see our free range hens, meet the family dogs and see the horses playing in the paddock. This is an ideal spot for romantic getaways, family holidays and those seeking out adventure as Aberfeldy has something for everyone. The farm is 5 minutes drive from the town centre, and for those cyclists and hill walkers, there are trails and routes on your doorstep. Croit na Greine is our largest house, graded 5 stars by VisitScotland and can accommodate up to 8 adults and two infants. The Garden Cottage is very popular with couples and families alike and is a much more traditional cottage, graded 4 stars by VisitScotland. The East Wing is ideal for those traveling on a budget, offering good quality basic accommodation. Coming soon: we will be adding one detached, newly refurbished cottage at Margmore, just 10 minutes drive from Errichel House and also only 2 miles from Aberfeldy town centre. This cottage is also on Errichel Farm, but has a much more remote feel, perfect for those who really want to get away from it all!

Margmore is a lovely traditional cottage in a stunning, elevated position with spectacular views of Highland Perthshire in a rural location, but only 2 miles from Aberfeldy town centre. This cottage has a very private and secluded setting, with no neighbours within view. A perfect destination for those who wish to get away from it all, but still within very easy reach of Aberfeldy town. Situated above the Birks of Aberfeldy, the cottage enjoys beautiful countryside views. Fully refurbished accommodation with underfloor central heating, wood burning stoves a large dining kitchen, family bathroom and 3 double bedrooms.

Errichel Farm, is 2 miles drive from the town of Aberfeldy, in Highland Perthshire, in the heart of Scotland. Within easy reach of Blair Castle, Castle Menzies, Taymouth Castle, Loch Tay, several golf courses, fantastic hill walking, cycling, nature watching and a vast choice of outdoor adventure activities from quad bike trails, white water rafting, horse riding and highland safaris. The pretty town of Aberfeldy is home to the famous Birks of Aberfeldy falls, a number of great shops, places to eat and the Dewar's Whisky Distillery, offering something for everyone, whatever the weather! The lovely towns of Dunkeld and Pitlochry are under 30 minutes drive away, and for those wanting to venture further across the country, Aberfeldy is ideally situated, right in the centre of Scotland.

A luxurious Autumn break

We stayed at the above property for 5 nights in October. I cannot rate it enough as it was one of the most luxurious we have stayed in. However, it was still very practical for children and I feel it was carefully decorated to bear this in mind. The space was wonderful, the kitchen superbly equipped, and the beds large, clean and comfortable. The house was absolutely spotless and wonderfully "new". Coming home and lighting a log fire was also great, making this an ideal house for autumn/winter lets. The windows were huge, giving magnificent views over the surrounding farm and countryside. The farm itself was a bonus also - my children enjoyed feeding the ducks, though we didn't get chance to see the ponies which are on the farm...

The owners, and particularly Beckie the manager were extremely kind and helpful and made sure everything was to our liking. Both my boys have special needs and in this respect the owners were particularly accommodating. They were never intrusive and the cottages are set around the farm and each enjoy their own private garden space.

We had not been to Perthshire before and could not get over how beautiful it is, with lots of things for children to do in the immediate area (and enough to do if it rains!), as well as magnificent walks. Aberfeldy, the town closest to the farm, is only a short 2 minute drive away. It has a decent Co-op and some lovely shops (especially the "Mill" Book shop and cafe!). I simply cannot recommend this place enough!!

The ‘stay-cation’ has never been like this before!

Oh wow! A wonderful modern and beautifully decorated house with to-die-for views and interiors to put House and Gardens magazine to shame. Forget about poky old extensions full of unwanted furniture, this is what a real holiday should be like – total luxury. There is more space than most of us have at home, with gardens and horses, sheep, cows, and a pond all on your doorstep - it took a lot of determination to leave the Errichel Farm to go exploring. We stayed for two weeks: sometimes it rained and, you know what?, we couldn’t have cared less, either indoors where there was plenty of room or outdoors visiting the local area where there were literally so many things to do for us, for the children, whatever the weather . Cooking was so much fun with a great range and a huge kitchen table for us all to sit round, the walks around Dunkeld and the antiquing there were great, and we even went to Edinburgh Zoo as it’s only 1.5 hours drive away. Next time we intend to (perhaps) eat one less cream meringue from the teashop in town, oh yes, and to bring some friends with us as there is plenty of room!
