Far exceeded our expectations!

  • 5 of 5

We have traveled to Kauai on numerous occasions but have always stayed at the beach. We wanted to try something different and it paid off! This location was beautiful. We sat on the deck each morning watching the sunrise while listening to the horses, cattle and of course the roosters. From the back deck we could see waterfalls on the mountains which surrounded the house.

My husband and I love to cook and the kitchen was perfect for us. We had everything we needed in the fully stocked kitchen. We even used the grill located on the back deck. Everything was in perfect order and to say this house was clean would be an understatement! It was spotless. My only regret is that we didn't stay at this location for the duration of our trip.

Thank you Brandon. We hope to stay at your home again next year.

If I could give this house 10 stars, I would...

  • 5 of 5

My mother and I stayed in this house for our one-week vacation; it was our first experience with a vacation rental and I wasn't sure what to expect. If you find something online and book it, you have to expect the worst, right?

Wrong. The photos provided are wonderful, and still don't do it justice. I could write a thesis on how wonderful this house is.

The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil one could ever need to cook, cut, wash (with a new sponge!), toast, fry, strain -- EVERYTHING. The appliances in the kitchen are all brand new Viking appliances. The washer and dryer area has an iron, ironing board and detergent. The bathrooms have shampoo and conditioner. The closets have hangers. There's a broom and a dustpan, if you need it. The beds are comfortable. The bedding was clean. My mom and I are a little nuts about things being clean; I was SHOCKED at how neat and tidy the house was. Just immaculate.

The house is about a 10-minute drive from Kapaa and its beaches. This is my 3rd time visiting Kauai; I've stayed on the South shore and North shore before, but I think this location is perfect. From Kapaa to the house, there is an incredibly beautiful, tropical drive into a very nice, safe neighborhood. At the house, you're surrounded by rolling hills, pastures and thick, lush greenery everywhere you look. From the back lanai, you can see the ocean in the distance. Kauai is a beautiful, serene and relaxing place to take a vacation - you can go hiking, visit waterfalls, canyons, remote beaches, take helicopter rides that will show you where movies were filmed, go on tubing adventures through irrigation ditches that cascade down mountains - it's a great island with tons to do. But my mom and I found ourselves looking forward to coming home each day just as much as we did going out. The house is that great.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, Brandon :)

Fantastic country home

  • 5 of 5

Located a short drive from the airport, and (more importantly) the beach, this house gives you the perfect experience if 'beach resort timeshare' isn't your thing. The house is surrounded by small farms, amazing mountain views on two sides, a bit of an ocean view in the distance.

The interior is brand new. Spotless clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen has appliances nicer than the ones I own and a pretty complete collection of pots, pans, and other cooking implements. A great BBQ on the deck, too.

Located on the East side of the island, it's the perfect base for daytrips to the North and South shores.

Again, if you like beach resorts and lots of people, this probably isn't your style. If you like gorgeous nature (wild Kauai chickens! Cute geckos!), grilling pineapple on the lanai, and romantic sunrise/sunsets, I can't picture a better spot.

Slice of Heaven on 2 acres!!

  • 5 of 5

The place was just as it is pictured, with plenty of room and VERY comfortable bedding in the master. It was a well-built home, great deck, quite and private out in the country, but just a short drive from anything you may need. My wife LOVED the kitchen and the open feel of the house. It was also nice that the door lock is electronic combo so you don't need to bother with keys. Everything was clean and there were enough towels to use. The shower in the master is a big two-person shower and it was nice being able to shower and havea small window to look out on the countryside and toward the ocean in teh distance. Thank you Brandon for opening your home to us! It made our honeymoon special and hard for us to leave such a beautiful place.

Great Country Setting

  • 4 of 5

The house was new and modern and the kitchen had all of the latest appliances and plenty of pots, pans, etc. The setting is more of a mountain/country appeal and reminded us of the countryside of Ireland (only waters). You will need to plan for a 15-20 drive to get into town/beach area. Only constructive feedback is that the bathrooms did not have hand towels or wash cloths (could have used more wash cloths for the kitchen too) and the wood floors throughout the house could have been cleaner (the white socks I put on one evening were filthy by the end of one night so I switched to flip flops for the rest of the stay.) Overall, I really liked the house and would use it again in the future.

Owner's Response: Jean thanks for the review and it is good timing because I'm going home next week and will get wash clothes! I will also mention the floors to housekeeper, she usually does a fantastic job so I'm very sorry to hear the floors were anything short of perfect! I hope you guys enjoyed your stay and I truly appreciate the feedback. Should you book again, you bet your buns I will pay the cleaning fee! Thanks Brandon
