Plaza Mirabel Jerez de la Frontera

My husband and I spent a week at Plaza Mireabel 8 and enjoyed every minute. It looked just like the photos on the website and was very well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, even a filter coffee machine!
Plaza Mirabel is in a superb location within the old town so very convenient (walking distance) for the sights of Jerez such as the Andalusian Equestrian Centre, the Flamenco Museum , the Alcazar and the Cathedral, not to mention Gonzalez Byass and other bodegas.. There is a supermarket close by and even though there are bars and restaurants ( and lovely shops!) within short walking distance it is a very quiet and peaceful spot.
Jerez does feel like an authentic Spanish town rather than a tourist trap so not many local people speak English- if you don't speak Spanish I would recommend you take your dictionary or phrase book to help with ordering food and shopping generally. A visit to the fish market is well worthwhile- even just for the experience if not to buy!
The apartment is light and airy and the private rooftop terrace is a great feature.
The facility of a private secure parking space is a bonus if you are hiring a car, as we did and there is easy access to the main routes of the region including Cadiz and Seville.Jerez airport is a short drive away.
The only comment I would make about driving there is that there are some very, very narrow streets so I'm glad we had a small car!
The service from the owner and her agent in Jerez was faultless.
I would like to find something negative to add as I don't want the apartment to be fully booked so that we can't get in next time but I really can't!
