Perfect spot for my friends and I. Everything was clean and the neighborhood was nice.i would rent again in a heartbeat
-Nicer looking, new tiles, renovated
-Decent beds, not super comfy or uncomfy
-Good AC units in bedroom
Beds came with two pillows and one sheet. That's it. When I sleep, I tend to get extremely overheated, and need it a cooler room, or I have a lot of problems sleeping. My wife is the exact opposite. The usual solution is to have the AC on enough that I can sleep with just a sheet, and she can use the blanket. However, no blankets. In either room. When I brought this up to Nancy she said our only solution is to turn down the AC and make the room warmer. Not exactly a solution. We ended up buying a blanket and extra pillows at walmart. No soap or toilet paper (aside from 1/10 of a roll) in the apartment either. Had to buy some.
No laundry facilities. Most condos I have stayed at have at least a washer that you can use to wash towels and other clothing. Staying over a week? Keep that in mind. We were there for a week, and by the end of the trip the towels were definitely needing a wash.
No beach towels at the beginning of the trip, Nancy brought a few by when we inquired. No beach chairs or coolers. We ended up buying a few from walmart and left them.
Windows do not fully close (just slats that tilt). Mosquitos can get in and all of us had new bites every morning.
The tv doesn't have a dvd player, but it does have netflix on it. Awesome. The internet however was so spotty that it made it almost impossible to watch anything for longer than 30 sec at a time between buffering. Not awesome.
No stove the first night. They did bring by a portable propane camp stove the end of the second day to use the rest of the week, so we could cook things one pan at a time. Ok in a pinch, but not impressive.
The final thing that detracted was that we were charged for "stained towels, washcloths, and a pillowcase". For a total of $40.00. They included pictures, but we were unable to tell if they were actually stained, or just hadn't been washed yet. We would have happily washed and bleached them ourselves (given, you know, you can actually bleach white cloth- what a miracle) before leaving, but no laundry facilities.
Sum up, the place looks good in pictures, but is an extremely barebones experience. Ended up having to spend quite an additional bit of money just to get enough to make it comfortable enough for a week stay. Would not stay here again.
Great for the price! Rented a car and it was not too far from San Juan. Nancy, the property manager, responded quickly to all of our questions. It was very convenient to have a kitchen available on vacation. We definitely saved money on food.
