The apartment was cozy and was in a safe neighborhood. The apartment had a walk in closet off of the master bedroom and a patio off of the kitchen. Having a washer and dryer available proved handy as well. Kunal was flexible on the check out time due to a later afternoon flight. It was a perfect fit for me and my husband. Upon our arrival we walked to the local grocery store, which was only a block away, and became acclimated to the neighborhood. R subway station was just two blocks away and included stops to the Staten Island Ferry as well as Times Square. The only issue, which was minor, was the heat and the thermostat was in the downstairs vacant apartment. Opening windows resolved this problem. In our next visit to NY this apartment will be our first choice in accommodations! Note: Prior to and during the trip, Kunal was helpful in recommending transportation choices and subway directions.
Loved the apartment! We stayed the weekend before Christmas and had such a great experience we've already booked our next stay in March :) The location is great, safe, and quiet. The main street was a short 3 minute walk and had all the bars, grocery stores, bakeries, etc. Great little diner on 5th Ave (I believe?) that we will be going back to as well. We also ate dinner at Gino's, also on 5th, and had a delicious authentic Italian dinner! The subway station is rather close (2 blocks, well lit, very safe), and you can typically find a R train going straight into Manhattan.
Kunal was very speedy answering all our questions, and the apartment was just as pictured. The terrace was our favorite part! Also, being a female, I was glad there were two doors to get through to enter the property. The apartment was clean and well maintained. We can't wait to go back and have recommended it to everyone we know looking for somewhere to stay in New York and get the "real" experience! Great job, Kunal!
I Knew the Bay Ridge neighbourhood well as I had spent a lot of time here the past few years, and wanted a base here for my family to get the best of both worlds, City and "real" NY.
Apartment was beautiful. Very well maintained, spacious, spotless, warm, cozy and comfortable- all the thing you need for a home from home.
Kunal and Neelu were extremely helpful and always just a call or email away.
Our flight home was late in the evening and since there were no guests checking in until the following night, Kunal very kindly allowed s to stay on past checkout time until we needed to leave for the airport, which was great as we had a small child.
Ihonestly cant fault anything about this apartment.
traditional Brooklyn Brown stone located between 4th and 5th ave, only 2.5 blocks from the subway, One black from local stores and grocerys and 1.5 blocks from the main street for bars and restaurants.
I will definitely be back !!!
Clean and cosy apartment. Good comfortable bed in main bedroom, not so comfortable sofa bed in lounge room. Pleasantly surprised to find washing machine and dryer.
Good safe location close to subway and shops. Good value for the price. I would recommend to others.
Hubby and I spent a week here. It is in a neighborhood that seemed family oriented and we always felt safe; important to me since it was my first time in NYC and didn't know what to expect. I was suprised at how quiet the neighborhood was at night. The apartment is conveniently located about four blocks from the subway stop, so it was easy getting in to NYC and connect with other areas in Brooklyn. The apartment is a two block walk to another street that was lined with shops, grocery stores, a liquor store and restaurants. We ate breakfast a few times at a diner, "The Lighthouse" (I think) and Bagels Schmagels. We were told by a realtor we met on the subway that the street is dubbed "doctor's row" because of the plethora of doctor's offices on the street (which we did notice.) Wherever we walked there was a real neighborhood feel to the area.
The furnishings are basic but nice; if you're looking for 5 star hotel-like accomodations this is not the place for you. However, if you appreciate arriving to an immaculate apartment with plenty of closet space to unpack, fold-out ironing board, and furnishings needed to settle in stay for a spell then this is for you. We appreciated the fact that the apt had a washer and dryer as we were able to throw some items in the wash before leaving for a second leg of our trip.
Internet access went out for a few days and when I contacted Kunal he promptly responded; he was always quick to respond, both prior to and during the trip.
We would definitely stay again. It's a great stay for the price.
Renting this apartment was the best decision we made our whole trip! The subway station was only a quick breeze away from the apartment. The location of the apartment was perfect! The apartment location had a wonderful family like neighborhood feel and was very close to local and affordable restaurants. I invited my cousin from Queens to the apartment. His is exact words, " you guys are living the high life in this apartment!" The apartment was spacious, clean, and had an amazing private back terrace for lounging. The only downside is the center of Manhattan is a good 30-45 minute ride on the subway, but we knew that before we booked. I would love to rent this apartment again!
