Items provided in each apartment: Sheets, wash cloths and towels, toilet tissue, some paper towels, hairdryer, pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker, toaster, dish soap and detergent.
Items to bring along: Soap and shampoo, liquid laundry detergent (no powder please, clogs up septic system :), extra paper towels, napkins, coffee filters, foil and cling wrap, baggies, Kleenex, drinking water (The Victorian uses a well--perfectly fine for cooking and laundry and even drinking, but some prefer bottled)
While I was living in The Cottage (VRBO.com/384587) I noticed The Victorian three blocks away was in foreclosure. I love old houses! After seeing the monumental overhaul it needed, saying a few prayers, and talking to family and friends, I bought it...and was instantly overwhelmed!
First project: Put in a huge deck in back--the beautiful views kept me inspired during the long rehab. And now it's all finished and worth every bit of the TLC it required. Hopefully it blesses my guests as well!
