Mountains weather - cold summer nights it was 53 degrees last night (August). Spring brings new growth, wild and farm animals and wild flowers. Autumn shows off the wild colorful leaves changing the views in every direction. Winter brings the snow making skiing, tubing, sledding and snowman making possible.
The cabins feature many unique charms such as wormy chestnut logs and wood, arrowheads found on the grounds, nooks for children to explore, private outdoor fire pits and plenty of gathering space indoors and out. A great deal of time has been spent collecting local reclaimed wood to build Memory Mountains' cabins and it shows.
We had the opportunity to spend the weekend in this cabin with friends. We had a great relaxing time. They had just gotten 12 inches of snow prior to our arrival so that was beautiful to see on the mountain. It was so peaceful. The younger ones in the group skied and us older folks watched but a few of us did venture out on the 4 wheeler for site seeing. That was a 1st for me but really enjoyed it!! Thanks Steve!! Steve was always making sure everything was ok and if we needed anything - he and Joy want it to be perfect!! We plan to return and enjoy the warmer season also. It is a blessing to let Steve share his vision. Make plans to visit soon and if not in this cabin you will enjoy staying in any of the cabins on Memory Mountain. Thanks Steve and Joy for letting the Lord lead you! Love you guys!!
Steve and Joy, the owners, make you feel as part of their family. They are always there if you need anything. Steve always asked if there was anything else they could provide to make out stay more enjoyable. The cabin was decorated with antiques and old items throughout. We were so lucky to find this perfect spot for our family of 10 adults and 4 children to get together for a very special birthday celebration. Steve, the owner, met us when we first arrived and was so accommodating and helpful. The location was right off the interstate so very easy to find. It was also so close to a great ski resort and tubing hill, which both proved to be super fun for the whole family. The home was equipped with plenty of supplies and space for a large group all at a very affordable price. We will continue to seek out an opportunity to use this place again.
Myself and 14 of my closest friends piled into this amazing cabin. The owner was attentive and helped us out in any way he could. He made an extra queen bed and had it installed the next day to everyone's surprise. The kitchen had lots of space, which made getting meals prepped much easier than previous cabins my group has rented. The cabin was easy to find and just off the interstate. We have this as an annual trip and have been moving around for several years. We plan to use this place again in the
The owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed for our group of 15! Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, and we had a fantastic time staying here. The best part was the owner was nearby on Saturday and let us play with his rescued wolf Lobo! He was so fun and friendly, I'll never forget it!
14 friends including myself spent a week here. The cabin accommodated us perfectly and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. Steve and Joy were the perfect hosts. We had a great time and it will be at the top of our list to consider for next year's friendcation.
