Porthia is a stunning, spacious self-catering cottage close to the harbour, the Tate gallery and Porthmeor beach in the charming, cobbled downalong area of St Ives. Its large, vaulted rooms are airy and spacious. Full of character as well as designer features, it can comfortably sleep between 4 & 6, but would also suit a couple looking for space.
Its bright and spacious rooms are tastefully decorated. The 30ft sitting room has a feature exposed granite wall &open chimney-breast, high ceilings, original artwork and a window seat with views down to the harbour. There is a beautiful chandelier, two double sofa beds and bookcases filled with novels, CDs/DVDs. The designer kitchen has a 6 hob range cooker and there is a table with seating for six. There is a luxury bathroom with a large bath,shower and separate shower attachment and a patio for sitting out on in the evenings. Parking is 2 minutes away.

I am a writer and editor and love spending time in St Ives in Porthia - it is so close to all the wonderful beaches and restaurants. It is my favourite place in the world!

The cottage was absolutely great - perfect location right in the heart of St Ives and within walking distance to 3 beaches; very spacious (especially compared to the other cottages nearby) and fully equiped kitchen. My wife loved the kitchen and the 6 range stove.
The cottage can easily accomodate 6 people and you would not feel crowded as enough space for privacy - the master bedroom is huge with own couch. Would recommend this for any family as a perfect holiday rental in St Ives.
It is a lovely traditional seaside town made famous by artists such as Alfred Wallis, Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth.
There are lots of lovely galleries including the Tate. There is a surfing beach called Porthmeor, a beautiful sheltered harbour and a pretty beach called Porthgwidden.
It is a very pretty town full of character, cottages, galleries and seaside cafes. Lovely fish restaurants and a relaxed pace. A great place to get away from it all, for a break for a family or couple. Close to the Eden Project and to the Minnack outdoor theatre.

Rental starts from £350 a week in winter. Spring and autumn prices start from £490 a week. Prices in September and October from £525. It is £1500 a week in the school summer holidays.
All prices include bedlinen and bills.
Please contact me for specific week tariffs. I am able to do mini breaks in winter, spring and late autumn.

It is a 50 per cent deposit payable on booking and the outstanding is due two months before the booking.
