Scott Theis purchased this house in 2000

The property was everything promised and more. It's in a wonderful location for exploring this fabulous area just north of Anchorage. We saw a mother and baby moose in the backyard the day after we arrived. The owners are terrific.
"Whoa!", to quote our youngest grandson. We came to this special spot for a family reunion with grandkids from 3 mos. to 18 yrs., and accompanying adults. Each one of us, loved our time in this well-appointed and thoughtfully outfitted cabin./home There is something for everyone to do, or one can happily do nothing. It's quiet, but active and interesting all at the same time. Amenities, when needed, are not too far away. You will know this is a place the owners love and cherish. It is wonderful they are willing to share it with the rest of us.
This is a great home and the owners do a fantastic job of making it ready for guests. From the plowed driveway, porch light on, fire set and ready to light in the wood stove, and everything in the house in perfect condition our stay could not have been easier or more enjoyable. We also enjoyed the lovely home decorations, especially the "loon" theme. We spent leisurely days skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the local area. When we needed a break from physical activities we watched a little football in high definition on a very nice "tv in the woods". We look forward to a return visit.
Beautiful property with great amenities! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the "extras" that the owners included. The weather wasn't the greatest but as true Alaskans we made the best of it! Thanks again!
We had the most incredible family trip to this lovely lakeside home. Everything was in place for visitor use all the way from comfortable linens, kitchen appliances, griddle, crock pot, pans, grill to lakeside water toys. We used every single one of them every day! Loved watching the loons and grebes with their young nearby or on their backs. The most amazing sunsets ever. 4 Wheeling right outside the driveway and we launched a rental jet ski nearby and the kids all went water skiing, endlessly! This was our first VRBO stay in our home state of Alaska and I would recommend this to anybody from the nearby area and out of state. Also, very clean and cozy inside and a nice TV for the kids in the late evening with plenty of movies to select from. You will not be disappointed.
This recreational home is an ideal location for those who want to do many things Alaska has to offer while having all the comforts of a home base: Historic Hatcher Pass hiking; Talkeetna flightseeing, fishing, zip lining; Denali National Park - all within driving distance. Within 5-miles of Iditarod Champion Martin Buser Happy Trails Kennels sled dog tours and many, many other attractions in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. visit www.alaskavisit.com for everything there is to do.
